20 pointsThat'd be us. Gunn Williams - Gibson - Kabak - Gianoullis Lees Melou - Normann - Gilmour Rashica - Sargent - Tzolis Good grief - there's never been a transfer window even remotely like it before.

-
7 pointsThat’s rubbish - you don’t commit potentially £10m+ to get a player who’s played for Liverpool, 40 times in the bundesliga and 12 times for his country as just ‘one for the future’. He’d be pushing the first team from the off.
-
6 pointsIt’s had the Here we go treatment. Frankly, if your not happy with this window you never will, or should go support a big 6 team, as for a club of our size the logic and ambition in our transfers are there to see. It doesn’t mean it will come off, but my word we can’t say we haven’t tried.
-
5 pointsNothing strange about it at all. Low risk transfer where we obviously scouted and thought he had some potential. Hes not realised that potential and we arent in a market where clubs will take a punt on players like him for a small transfer fee. We can afford to make 15 of these mistakes if a Cantwell, Emi or similar comes as number 16.

5 pointsPink ‘un Forum Rating: Todd Cantwell 1 Wears an Alice band, posts on Instagram, and didn’t go mental ballistic when we scored a goal against a team that were already beat! sarcasm intended 😉

4 pointsWhy do we need to blame anyone? It’s just a game and there are always winners and losers.
-
4 pointsIt means we gave it a proper go. We may stay up, we may fall short. But we won't be wondering why. It's now up to Farke and his players.
-
4 pointsThe weaknesses have been covered. It just remains to be seen if they are good enough. Well done Webber👍
-
4 pointsThis really is excellent news. I’ve no idea what’s wrong with what I assume is a small section of our support, perhaps next year we can go for a European spot, hopefully you can handle this news guys? This has 100% been an excellent window for our club and I think we now (assuming this signing completes) have a better squad than enough of the rest to stay up this season.
-
4 pointsFantastic news - you can keep attacking the club for failing to sign a defensive midfielder.

3 pointsWhoever chucked the coke bottle at schmeichal yesterday needs their head checking I hope they find out who you are and ban you for the rest of the season the club will get a fine for this because some little chav hasn’t got the intelligence to know that’s it wrong to Chuck anything at a footballer I’d expect this kind of behaviour from them down the road but not our Barclay boys!

3 pointsFarke has the tools and weapons this time. Well done Webber.
-
3 pointsThis. Don't let ANYONE bullsh!t you into saying Webber's not done what he promised. The real acid test is how well they do, but Farke's got what he needs in theory now - and we also look like we've got a few different options up our sleeves. Ambition married with prudence whilst still focusing on developing promising talent. All in there.

3 pointsI think we're seeing why Farke agreed to the new contract with this window. Webber has really backed him, and I think he'll also stick around after next summer. You can also see we potentially have the sale of Aarons or Cantwell next summer to help fund next season's roster with the same quality of signing as this. It really has been an amazing window - full credit to everyone involved, especially Jim Smith and DCB who've pushed the club so hard - without them, none of this would have been possible!

3 pointsWithout the sale of Buendia, very few of these deals would've happened. I was, and still am, gutted to lose the best player we've had in my living memory but it was for the greater good.
-
3 pointsIf this comes off, other than the sale of buendia you’d have to say it’s been a great window and we’ve given it a proper go

3 pointsI'm presuming it's a player who played their trade before her 1984 hit 'Holiday' 🤷♂️

2 pointsThe only outgoings I expect to see are Placheta and Klose, with possibly one or two of the young goalkeepers because we have loads. No 'big' player will leave.

2 pointsThere is no need for three exclamation marks, trying to get people to click on your thread with them might be a decent trick but it does look silly and trust me I'm an expert at this😉
-
2 pointsFulham spent over a hundred million and got relegated. Villa did the same and survived by a single point. Sadly, money doesn't always equal survival. Farke has at least got more options this season. We will see what he makes of them.
-
2 pointsThere is another scenario, Cambridge - he just might not have made the grade unfortunately, and that’s all there is to it? 😉
-
2 pointsThis is quite brilliant from Webber, whether part of a back 4 or 5, he has all the attributes to improve us and become a fantastic CB himself. After Liverpool’s shaky performances early to mid season, he certainly played a part in turning that around with 6 cleans sheets in 13 appearances across the Premier League and Champions League. Honestly think Webber will have pulled one right out of the hat here if this one comes off. I look at all those signings and think that’s a squad that should really finish mid table, and who knows, maybe it will…

2 pointsNo. No excuses. No sympathy either. The coach has talent at his disposal. Its up to him to set them up right.
-
2 pointsAssuming Kabak completes, this squad is looking very strong now. (Incidentally, he is a much better buy than Ajer would have been, and Normann is a much better buy than Carvalho would have been.) At least two players for every position and formation you can think of. A fantastic window. I'd love to see us play 3 at the back against Arsenal, with Normann as the CDM and Aarons/Giannoulis the wing backs.
-
2 pointsThis is just ridiculously brilliant window, after watching Leicester I was thinking we definitely need a CB and CDM and we pull out two quality signings. We may be second bottom but we played 3 of last season's top 5. These players are going to be ready for the games we will be looking to win, absolutely buzzing, never been this excited as a Norwich fan.
-
2 pointsWow some of the posters in here… I’m not sure what would make you happy beyond us signing Harry Maguire, and even then you’d say ‘oh actually he’s past it’. Not one for the future, and a highly sought after player with bigger clubs in the food chain than us sniffing around. But sure, I guess your know more than both Norwich and Liverpool’s recruitment teams.

2 pointsOutrageous that he never got a testimonial or goodbye game. Probably the player who's put his body on the line for us more than any other in the past few years and he's greatly underappreciated as a footballer. I'd love to see us organise a friendly against Paderborn or another link up club or something to say goodbye to Tettey, Stiepermann, Trybull etc.
-
2 pointsHang on a minute. Before the Man City game, people were saying Giannoulis was their man of the match against Liverpool by a country mile and I even remember people saying they thought he was our best player. so what? He had one bad 45 minutes against Man City (they all did) and all of a sudden he’s not good enough. I mean you read some funny old stuff on this message board in course of a day but surely that takes the fickle fans accolade to a whole new level.
-
2 pointsNoticed that Sinani made his full debut for Huddersfield in their Carabao Cup game against Everton in the week and that he also started their 4-0 win over Reading in the Championship yesterday. Had a look at a Huddersfield message board and here is a selection of their comments about him (they seemed impressed). Thought he looked really promising. Travelled well with the ball and defo gave us more attacking threat. Wasn’t afraid to be available for a pass and not scared of going at a man. Might be that no.10 that we need to link with the lone striker once he’s properly fit Lovely passer, has a great attacking instinct. It was another punt, but fair play to the club, if last night is anything to go by he looks like another punt that will pay off. I'd stick with the same starting line-up for Reading. And if we do change it, I hope Sinani losing his place isn't one of those changes. Offers something that nobody else in the squad appears capable of. VERY encouraging first start for the club. Liking the look of this lad. When he gets fully up to match fitness we could have a real player on our hands. Good link up play, particularly with Sorba, unlucky not to score & played on the front foot. He looks a good player someone who if selected regularly could get us a few goals!!.

2 pointsAs opposed to a premiumdonnner, which is a player who should be grilled with a skewer up their ****. Which appears to be what the football cognoscenti on this thread think of Todd.

2 pointsOff the field of play it'd be really nice if you could prevent any pundit from ever being able to take part in post-match analysis of the official's decisions without proof that they've actually read and understood the Laws of Association Football and accompanying documentation for that particular season... So many fans remain ignorant (in the truest sense of the word) to the laws of the game they passionately follow based on untruths they've heard someone on the telly claim was right/wrong.
-
2 pointsIt's not the best video but if you look at where he starts with the ball in many of those clips, it's quite deep, he's going from in front of his back four to attacking positions. Very different in style but Yaya Toure, Patrick Viera, Gerard and to an extent Roy Keane all played in that deeper DM type role but were more than capable of getting forward and putting the ball in the net too. Perhaps Pogba too. I think there can be more to a DM than just sitting. Kante and Jorginho are like that too. They will break up play but will happily carry the ball forward if the occasion arises.
