He’s far better than many of our supporters give him credit for.

That was as good a performance as any this season. The shape was good and poor old Sara wasn't left to man midfield on his own. Gibbs was superb in his new role and Sorenson was as calm as ever. And Gunny was a rock if we did falter. Two cracking goals and plenty of other chances. I am not bothered about Monday yet. I just want to relax thinking about how well we played today and made my day even better.

All things considered that was our best performance under Wagner. Battled adversity, worked our nuts off and quality finishing. I'm made up with that, exactly what I wanted to see from Wagner. A very Paul Lambert display!

What a brilliant afternoon out, pretty much dominated the game, totally outsung the Blackburn fans who were as quiet as I've ever heard home fans, even at 0-0. Sara and Onel both superb, Gunn safe when called upon, Gibbs worked really well in the advance role. Sargent so much better central.

Well this is wildly different from what I was expecting. I wasn't expecting Onel back so soon, McLean must be injured or ill, I wasn't expecting either Gibbs or Sorensen to play yet they're in central midfield together, and finally, FINALLY: We don't have a striker out of position on the wing!!!

All I know about Onel is in what's been a miserable season there's always that little bit if hope and belief when he's on the pitch. He lifts the crowd because we're not all coaches, some of us want something/someone to get behind. I love watching Onel.

Interestingly though, what's left of the playing squad after today (given that Pukki is both probably not going to start every game and isn't going to be here next season anyway so presumably won't be affected one way or the other) is probably - Aarons aside - the players least scarred by the realities of previous premiership experience. They might see it as career making rather than breaking ...

I’ve just logged on to say that is one hell of a win lads. Bummer about the injuries but on the basis that Gibson and Hanley are utterly useless according to our Pro Licence posters we should be ok.

I think interestingly the psychological malaise and lack of ‘boys brigade’ all-for-oneness - that managers always need to find a way to create and maintain and reinvigorate and protect - that has been palpably lacking, may get triggered by the backs-to-the-wall injuries to MacLean, Hanley and Gibson. The fresh blood - with no premier scarring - the fact that both Gibbs and Sorenson are what I would term ‘structural’ players (with a clear sense of positioning, defensive-offensive balance and timing, spatial awareness, sense of responsibility and a strong element of ‘team’ to both), plus both with a justified sense of grievance that they haven’t had more minutes (I hope Sorenson isn’t too passive about this. Don’t be afraid to knock on the manager’s door), may just see a mindset seachange catalysed. If you listen to Wagner’s post match analysis, you can almost hear him rubbing his hands and feeling-understanding this. A chance of a chance. That’s all you can ask. In my view The seachange and mentality will be exposed to stress once Norwich actually get into the play-off places. If we were right before about the collective endemic psychological hangover-subconscious fear, that is when it will resurface. Let’s hope I’m wrong. Parma

What a weird team we are. A right ol' rummun. We have looked so at sea these last few weeks and then we produce a real fighting and mostly controlled performance. And away from home against a team above us. Onwards. Better for Onel being back and Gibbs too. Good shape today. Happy Easter everyone.

A spine of a team that's been pretty spineless this season.

Don't think Omo and Sorensen is really much of a downgrade from Gibson and Hanley.

Indeed We may not think we're good enough to go up / ready for the premier league but someone's got to finish 6th, why shouldnt it be us?.the teams below us are as inconsistent as we are and theres no reason why we shouldnt think wd couldnt finish above Millwall (if we see this out today)

Showing good control - not surprising since we have an extra central midfielder in the 11. Why didn't we last week? We are down to bare bones for this run in as things stand though.

Looking on the bright side he was always going to be a key part of it next season. Time for Sorensen and Gibbs to try to develop and impress.

Late 60’s / 1970 . I was head over heels in love before I ever went to a game . Spending home games in our back garden within earshot of Carrow Road , trying to make out the score from the noise. Neighbours kids doing the same , we’d jump around like lunatics if we thought that roar had meant a goal. And I remember someone’s old Granny sometimes being with us and geeing us on . I suppose we could’ve got the score off the radio or tv , but we just didn’t . I don’t know why. Then waiting outside our front gate for my Dad to get back from the match . I’d shout out my guess of the score as he walked up the road ……… Christ that was another world . I was 6/7 years old

I'm also going for a home win for Ludogorets v. Botev Vratsa. Good Luck, littleyellowbirdie! For Monday's match bet - Pukki to score last. Congratulations on today, Hammond1612! Good Luck on Monday!

Sorenson and Gibbs starting. 3 man central midfield. Single striker played through the middle rather than several shoehorned in out wide. Wagner has clearly turned to this thread as a whole for ideas ... Not before time either ... 😉

Delving into the micro more than the macro (albeit the two are linked) could @Parma Ham's gone mouldy enlighten me as to why Gibbs hasn't played more this season? He seems to have something about him; is there some kind of technical or tactical fault in his play that I am missing?

You never want to see players get injured. However I'd be lying if I wasn't interested to see how we do without Hanley and McLean starting every week.

Now is the time for those on the sidelines to show these older players are not the answer, Gibbs & Sorensen doing well enough and I still think Omobamadele is our best defender and should be starting, some of us have been calling for this change now we have it enforced, lets see what the youngsters with no baggage can do in the last few weeks.

When the United Kingdom abolished slavery, the government compensated slave owners for the value lost from freeing enslaved people. So we paid the rich slave owners 'compensation'. That's not reparations, that's the rich screwing the tax payers yet again.
