Season 17/18 A mixed bag, settling in time accounted for. Lots of room for improvement. C+ Season 18/19 Good lord what a year! A slowish start after the summer holidays but then absolutely nailed it. Wonderful work young Stuart, keep it up. A* Season 19/20 Jesus wept what was that? Out of his depth as the lessons got harder. Poor equipment used in the class room. Stand in the corner and wear that pointed hat lad. D- Season 20/21 Well this pupil is truly an enigma. A turnaround to be proud of and deserves huge credit. Optimism growing that this young man is going to achieve great things. A* Season 21/22 Oh FFS not again. Poor attitude from the start of the first term. Started skiving lessons and blaming others. Vast improvement needed, summer detention given. Ungraded Season 22/23 This lad needs expelling. Half arsed effort throughout but still blames everyone and everything for his own mistakes. Ungraded

Aarons, Big Andy, Pukki I've always felt they played with a huge cloud over their head, especially when things weren't going well. I wonder if this is the character trait Webber spoke about. Now we seem to be replacing them with players like Barnes who's a clear natural leader and retaining players who just get on with it regardless like Hernandez and Sara. It's a clear strategy which I think can work wonders for us.

Both on song (or in Cantwell's case the wanting to be here version of a couple of years ago) would walk into our current starting XI. Would you really want any two of Onel, Sargent, Tzolis or Marquinos starting ahead of either of them ? Maybe you would - it's a game of opinions. I wouldn't.

I'm going off of his previous transfer record. I was probably being a bit disingenuous there, I know that the head coach has a big say in transfer targets and it was probably geared towards what Farke wanted as he wanted robotic players who would do exactly what he wanted without question but Farke is a god on here right now so I didn't want to insinuate it was his fault and incur the wrath of loads of people. But in Webber's time here Farke has been the head coach for the vast majority of the time and we mostly signed a lot of quieter players who were more technically minded who would follow instruction and not cause problems. Anyone who had the slightest hint of an ego was shipped off early or if a player like that was signed for Farke he never played them. I don't tend to take journalists words as gospel but while I could see that myself it's also backed up by a tweet by Nick Ma****er who said that some of our problems started when Farke stripped the playing squad of all leaders. My original point still stands though. We have too many quiet players in the team who lack personality, confidence and a bit of self assurance.

Oh come on now Yobo lad. It was funny! Don't be all grumpy. Turn that frown... ...Stu-side down! You don't seem very happy these days. Let me tell you a joke to cheer you up: Knock knock! Who's there? Stu! Stu who? It is Stu late to get a new sporting director? I've got more if you need them; I specialise in jokes about Delia's magnificent floury baps. 🙂 OTBC

So to breakdown into percentages regarding the season 23/24 ST renewals, they are as follows....allegedly.... * 20% are long term Divorcees.... * 8% are 40 to 60 year old plus Drunkards and some are also divorced (male)....and have an intense dislike of mountaineers.... * 10% are true Virgins (under the age of consent or saving themselves for the right person)....aw so sweet.... * 5% say they aren't Virgins (but oh yes they really are)....like Jay (Inbetweeners) they talk a really good sèx life.... * 16% are in stable relationships, are strictly tee total & who also absolutely fawn over the NCFC Board and love Stu our DoF to bits.... * 5% love Delia like she's their Mum and who unfortunately may also suffer from the Oedipus complex.... * 35% are just normal football supporters who follow their club through thick and thin.... * 1% are sad sacks on here who haven't got a life and are akin to a wheelbarrow full of peas, carrots, cabbages and sugar beet....But I do applaud some with their uncanny ability to type whilst their heads are wedged firmly up their acne addled posteriors.... I'm a ickle bit of everything of the above, apart from the Virgin and Oedipus Complex stuff....and no bleedin' way am I a 'one percent-er!'... Now....What was this thread about again?....

I have. It's one of those films where you have to suspend belief but it's entertaining and the dog is great. The extraordinary thing is that the lead character doesn't speak which must be a first?

What is it with people writing street poetry today? None of this rhymes either. Let's have a little jiggle around here: "I think that's a factor, if he took the job aiii'right, But the reason he resigned, may have differed in da'night, Man got dem respects, he big up the club homies, That's why the boardroom motherf****s had him on loanees" Yeah, take your point, bro.

For supporters and those fed up with the daily whining of the usual suspects. Aarons being in the England U21s should keep the price up should we sell, as looks likely. And Rashica having two suitors (supposedly) should help increase whatever fee is finally agreed. A veritable piece of Turkish Delight. Much to the dismay of the Wailers - those who see anything positive at Carrow Road as a slap in their face.

Luton Town are still in a stadium that is unsuitable for Champs football, let alone the level above. If they get promoted around ten per cent of their PL TV income will be spent just bringing the ground up to minimum requirements. Eight years after the first planning application for their new stadium no actual building has even taken place, while "detailed design" of the development was only completed in March 2023. They don't own their training ground and their Academy - despite the clear, historic potential - is not Cat One. Is their Board performing better than ours? I too can make subjective & out-of-context comparisons.

Hard disagree. He seemingly didn't learn how important a proper DM is because if he had, he wouldn't have signed one who hadn't kicked a ball for 6 months. He took a double gamble with Hayden- both in terms of fitness and how key the position he played was. We could have risked a player who hadn't played for 6 months almost anywhere else on the pitch. Doing it in a position that had been our most glaring weakness wasn't a risk we could afford and yet he still went ahead with it.

You know guys, sometimes there isn't a big conspiracy and it's just circumstance that people find themselves in frustrating situations. The club are clearly trying to help the chap out as much as they can, perhaps we should praise them for that rather than trying to find fault in every single thing they do.

I'd like to reiterate the praise for Stephen Graham - he has been absolutely brilliant on more than one occasion when I was trying to make arrangements for my, by then, very frail parents. He was incredibly kind, patient and thorough.

The last two seasons have been failures - not judged by my metric, yours or any other fans - but by the club themselves. The stated aim was to stay in the Premier League. We failed to do so. The stated aim was to go up this season. We failed to do so. I'm sorry Google Bot but that's just wrong. Webber has been with us for 6 seasons now. One Championship 14th, 2 promotions, 2 in the Prem and one Championship 13th. The previous 6 seasons before Webber? 4 years in the Prem, one getting promoted and one Championship 8th. Any expectations were there before he arrived - he created nothing. Our form was dropping off before the 3 key injuries at the end of the season. In the four games before Kenny was injured we lost 2 and drew 2. We were not an 'in-form' team. Was the drop off even worse once all 3 were out? Absolutely. But the direction of travel was already going one way. Respect your opinion Google Bot but I don't think the facts back it up. OTBC

I guess you don't actually watch the games, or maybe you have a very different interpretation of the word 'decent' to me. He looked glacial and lethargic whenever I saw him as well as having minimal ability on the ball.

Such an early Rundgren song. The piano playing is understated and the voice so clear (and you can hear the intake of breath right at the start of the song). Beautiful.

Disappointing that the Takeover Code doesn't legally rule out the scenario where a murderous foreign woman comes along and "offers considerably more", I'm surprised they've not thought about that one.

Jim being typically doom-laden! Despite what he claims I don't think anyone has assumed Attanasio is going to take over from S&J straight away. As said before, turning a minority stake in to a majority one at a football club can sometimes take years. It did with Arsenal, although the circumstances there were a bit different. From the start a year ago the whole sense of what both sides were saying was that this was a collaborative project that wasn’t going to be rushed. And as GMF points out, the indication from Webber this week was that Attanasio et al are still learning about English football. And there have been factual signs that Attanasio was probably not going to be acquiring a majority stake immediately – the seven-year redemption aspect of his purchase of C-Preference shares, potentially leading to the acquisition of more of the controlling Ordinary shares, can be seen that way And then more obviously the number of new Ordinary shares being created for, one assumes, Attanasio to buy. But by the same token those can both be read as indications that in the longer run the plan is for his to become the owner.

If results weren't going our way that year I'd argue that that group of players wouldn't have had that in them. Likewise if we got really lucky this year with results and the team was confident we'd have seen a bit more character in some of our performances along the lines of what we saw at Bramall Lane back then. We have had a lot of players who show really good traits when the sun is shining on them (sorry to use a Farke-ism) but their heads drop when the going gets tough. We need more players who can show that same fight and character when things aren't going our way and we're in a bad run. That takes players who have a bit of professional and individual pride who don't rely on momentum or the crowd to get them going. Players who play for themselves a little bit and who are driven to succeed. We have so many players who obviously care about the club and their performances are so heavily influenced by having the crowd with them and momentum on their side and that's been the case ever since Webber took over. I think it was one of his first interviews when he mentioned having a 'no d1(khe4d policy' but the issue for me is I watch MOTD and I see successful teams full of selfish, individualistic d1(khe4ds who don't get fazed by pressure and play with freedom and I can't help but think that we could do with a bit of that arrogance and self belief. I like the idea in theory of having a team of nice lads who care about the club but when it means too much for them and they get badly affected when things aren't going our way it can be a negative.

Didn't even rhyme, could've gone with. "Yo! Too many small minds, in the boardroom and stands, NCFC got no edge, and mediocrity in their glands." Then could've followed it up with "I'm a sad **** scummer who's got no job and no life, I put a ring on my hand, and she's the most faithful wife".

But presumably those clubs that want to buy them believe that they are, ot that they can make them, better players than they have been for us. The problem is that neither Smith or Wagner have been unble to do that. And not just with those two players either. Virtually every member of our squad has gone backwards over the last two seasons.

Am inclined to agree, particularly based on the previous season with Normann - it’s effectively been the same issue in the same key role two seasons running.

4 years. Made his debut in 2019. Does seem like longer mind you ! Caveat - I did get that from Wikipedia which also suggests that he is 5'10 so maybe take that that with a pinch of salt. Webber has been busy updating some pages to head off concerns about his height ahead of any potential bids I'd imagine ...

It reads as though they have a season ticket but need to phone the ticket office before each match to see what seat they can use, they can do a lot better than that. (Providing I've read it correctly, that is)
