I haven't been back to Plymouth since we lost 3-0 in the Roeder years. Probably the worst performance I've seen from a Norwich side. Was anyone else there? I sat just in front of Neil Adams and Radio Norfolk. At the end I offered to speak on the radio but couldn't promise not to swear. Neil politely declined. I had posh tickets because my sister was friends with a Plymouth player. I bought the first round and didn't get him a drink. I turned round from the bar and there he was smiling at me. I told him I hadn't got him a drink because I assumed he would still be having a shower. "I didn't need one" he said which is still the most painful thing anyone has ever said to me.

The inheritors aren’t happy, Tom’s still smiling, D&M won’t let go, Attanasio is doing his Nicholas Parsons impression, having bagged the Sale of the Century, but, apart from that, nothing to see here, please move on…

I'd totally forgotten how hard this this. You know the six are there, but trying to string them together is really difficult. Many thanks for all your excellent suggestions - each and every one was considered, apologies for those not selected. For the six - VIKTORIA PLZEN v FK Pardubice - Indy BAYERN MUNICH v Bochum - TIL1010 & Mandie Moo (of whom I miss both dearly...) MANCHESTER CITY v Nottingham Forest - Diane & WWIAFTM LEVSKI SOFIA v Etar VT - Cosmic Twin FC SALZBURG v BW Linz - DJ11 VIKING FC v Sandefjord - Mr Angry With the main six being very short odds, and the Pups having so much quality I've sent @nutty nigel an extra tenner for a secondary set that is a bit more rewarding financially if they come in... BRENTFORD v Everton - Mandie Moo's Mear Kat & Branston IPSWICH v Blackburn - FTW WOLVES v LUTON - Duncan (my partner in crime!) Sussulo v JUVENTUS - NFN FC LEICESTER v Bristol City - GMF CRUSADERS v Glenavon - My pick! Thanks everyone, lets hope Arrdee is looking on us with a smile and sending us a bit of luck this week. Constant Essex Overload?

Greetings. Just a bit of information that might ho those travelling for the match tomorrow. Firstly parking. Two large carparks beside the ground which are free. They fill up very quickly and after midday you will struggle to get a place. The one behind the life centre has got spaces with electric charge points. Don't park in them as the wasps will be around during the match and u will get a ticket. Parking in the streets around the ground but I would go opposite side of beacon park Road. You will find spaces there and a ten minute walk. Opposite the car parks is a esso garage with the Costa machines.

Watney's Starlight - this beer was so weak in strength that a 1971 Sunday Mirror investigation discovered that it could have been legally sold in the United States during Prohibition. Whatever happened to Worthington E or Double Diamond?

Transfer fees are just a small part of any incoming player. No doubt he would have wanted at least £20k per week on a 3 year contract. That's already another £3 million. I'm astonished how little so many understand about finances.

Regardless of whether the tactics are working or not (and personally I think they are), at least it's nice to actually have a clear plan this season. At no point did Smith ever convince me that he had one.

[Struggles not to make a puerile comment about being sucked forward with a man exposed.] Fails.

There is a bike rack outside the ground by the big bus shelter. How safe it is I wouldn't say because its in a large park. I would phone the club up I feel sure you could place it inside the ground. Liddls is nearer but I would look on Rogers plymouth on Facebook. Its wholesale but could work out cheaper. In the ground a bottle of Fanta will cost u 3 quid at rogers you will pay the equivalent of 42 pence

Agree with that. The first half was a game of chess, very tactical and good to get involved in as a spectator especially as we were holding our own. Until, that is, Fassnacht decided to play draughts instead. Brainless. This is the second time I believe that we have lost points due to reckless behaviour in the penalty area. It was Gibson before v Southampton. It has been stated that training will not be so intense this week because of the heavy schedule. Perhaps Wagner could do with concentrating upon this trait by sitting the squad in front of a screen showing these howlers repeatedly. These players might not be the clearest thinkers in the heat of the moment, but these mistakes are unforgivable and very costly and education might be necessary.

First half was a tactical plan to contain them and make it hard for them to break on us. That was certainly no disaster and the game was finely balanced. We got undone by firstly a strange decision to penalise Gibson, a foul not given then Stacey getting sucked forward leaving his man exposed which meant Fassnacht had to get back and cover causing a clumsy foul. Whilst the first half wad short on chances by both sides it was actually a decent game all in all.
  21. 2 points
In the second half we created a lot of pressure on a very good team and were unlucky not to equalise. Towards the end they scored a second goal on the break (which many of us feel was offside) and that was pretty much the end of it. If you think that's disastrous I've no idea how you'd cope if you had to watch Suarez score a hat trick against us in a 5-0 defeat.

FTW, it is right to say that during the period of the Shareholder Agreement (it ends in January 2026) Attanasio will not be looking to increase his holding, although it is only that agreement with Smith & Jones that I believe legally would prevent him from buying from minorities directly after a period of grace. If that agreement came to an end then all bets are off as to what the next steps would be. I have long held the view that ultimately Smith & Jones will sell a large proportion of their shares to Attanasio to allow him to become overall solely in charge of the club, but I expect them to retain a small block of shares and transfer them to a trust (just over 10%) for much the same reason that the CT exists really - to act as a block to one person having "absolute" control of the club. There's no guarantee of that, but it would make sense to me that the CT and Smith & Jones at some point enter serious conversation pool about the pooling of resources to this effect.

Cocky Cameron was so confident of the outcome of the referendum that he used it as a test of his leadership. The 750k is composed largely of people who knew little and cared even less about the EU but voted Leave give Cameron a bloody nose. Sad but true.

Completely disagree, Leicester were of course better in the first half without actually creating any open play threats. The penalty and one shot wide soon after were all they created. Second half they were not really at the races and very much under the cosh. Duffy’s header, Sara’s free kick, Kenny’s effort off the bar, it was only ever one team that looked like scoring and we were constantly winning the ball back high up the pitch. The quality of Dewsbury-Hall and us committing players forward left us open and knackered for their second, but we were chasing the game. I’m not disappointed by how we played. I am disappointed by Barnes injury though, real blow in my view. They offered grit and aside from Gibbs who seemed way off the pace I thought another good performance from Sara, Kenny, Dimi, Duffy, Stacey and even Idah and Placheta when they came on. Clear plan, just lacked the execution against the best squad in the division

Ha that's exactly how I described it, football tactical chess Personally I loved it and it shows that Wagner really gets it, perhaps the best tactician we have had in modern history? Don't let a stronger Leicester team and flattering score line deceive. We gave them a lot of trouble and 2 inches of cross bar saved them the points. Also as a Leicester supporting mate of mine commented, 3 of Thier 5 subs had prem starts last year.

The formation last night showed that the management were scared of Leicester. The line up showed that we don’t have the personnel capable of beating the best teams in this league and and the performance echoed that. Far too many 6 out of 10 performances from attacking and creative players. The choice of Barnes up front as the only recognised striker showed that the management has about as much faith in Idah as most of us fans do. We dont have any strikers capable of converting a half chance. Barnes, Idah and Kwang just don’t have killer instincts, the need very solid chances to score. Which brings us to those 6 out of 10 midfielders. Showing ok in little spats but far too many mistakes, too much lost possession and too little cutting edge. Nobody could pick a pass. Truth is Leicester weren’t that great last night but they were better than us at playing their game, pity we didn’t have the guts or guile to play ours!

YGA, did you not see our front press in the first half not engaging with their back line, deliberately? Wagner had identified that the midfield was an issue, and last night there was a change of approach. Most commentators commented about the game in the first half being a chess match (most fans will say it was boring) precisely because Norwich were protecting the midfield two. Gibbs and Barnes interchanging played that third central midfielder role well. They only became more aggressive with the press after falling behind. Until that point we had won that battle in midfield. The shame was that we gave the ball away when we were trying to build an attack that led to the goal. Sloppy mistakes cost us yesterday, not the line up.

As Soon as Sarge was injured and they knew for how long a Goal scoring forward should have been signed i have said many times Peterborough's Clarke Harris great goal scorer in Lg 1 nearly sign For Bristol rovers but were to late ,sorting transfer rumoured to be 800k but say with add on' 2 million ,to be safe , we should have been able to afford that with the income money tis window i would be more hopeful with a player who scored 26 goals in 36 apps a league below last season than Idah or Hwang , would have been a Leon McKenzie type signing

Of course this timeline isn’t set in stone and if things go badly we stay mid championship for the next two years build debts to MA to the point that the assets don’t cover the loan, MA could make an aggressive move to buy on the very very cheap! You might get that £1 per share you keep going on about Essex!😂

I thought Idah did ok second half and we looked better with him, after Barnes went off. We'll just have to see now we cope.... Have to hope we are still in contention when Sarge and Barnes get back to full fitness.

It's all about the "likes". The more you like the more they know about you. I think it was about a thousand (maybe less) likes and Facebook and its subsidiaries know you better than your partner. Quite worrying how we've easily handed over our information.

I think it's close enough to afford the linesman a bit of leniency. I would generally rather those goals stand than be ruled out for inches.

As soon as the pass is played to Dewsbury-Hall, a new phase of play begins. At the point the pass was played to Dewsbury-Hall, McAteer was in an offside position but not interfering with play. Then, when Dewsbury-Hall squares it, McAteer is marginal. McAteer's position up to that final square ball is irrelevant. It's one of those 'the law is an a$$' things. As far as I'm concerned, he's gained an advantage by being ahead of the defensive line when the initial ball is played, so should still be considered offside when the second ball is played. But IFAB don't see it that way, sadly...

Well, not monetised on YouTube. He can still put content on it as far as I understand, just can't earn off it. I'll always say he's innocent until proven guilty, but I would not be surprised in the slightest if he's shown to have one heck of a rap sheet. And this argument about "why don't they report right away" is pretty reprehensible when we consider statistics such as average times before a report is made, or indeed the proportion of rape claims that end up in a prosecution. No-one wants an innocent man to have to go through what John Leslie had to go through, or worse still, Andrew Malkinson. But when the chances of getting away with rape are literally over 98% it's clear where the imbalance lies.
