It's fuzzy. It's Sir Beny. Could have got a penalty if he went down. Glad he didn't.

"Zimmerman wont make any difference" "Hogesar how deluded are you" "We will go down with record low points" "Farke doesnt have a clue" "Zimmerman might make us a bit better defensively but nothing more than that" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Just throwing it out there as he is averaging a goal every 28 minutes at the moment. With our defence conceding around 2.5 goals per game, and Srbeny averaging better than 3 goals per game (pro-rata) it would surely guarantee us a win most weeks even without defensive improvement.... 😉

Just home from Goodison, haven’t enjoyed a match so much since Wembley , great performance, superb commitment, Zimbo was massive, a big piece of the jigsaw back! Fans tremendous, great singing , highly positive from word go. Even forgive Everton’s worst toilets in the top 4 divisions. Felt victory in my water this morning and had a punt at 13/2 - icing on the cake. ( king canary not even a exclamation mark insight - must have been a good day)

That was a superbly well taken goal under immense pressure by Todd Cantwell. I'm sure he gave Pickford the eyes just before slotting home. He was excellent today and deserved his place back in the starting 11. With a proper defence our team can flourish with players like Cantwell and Hernandez

I see you're on a friend making initiative again. Could you be more specific as to who you are insulting, or is it everybody that isn't you .

Yeah, I just saw that. The implementation of VAR has been pretty farcical; I'd much rather go back to human referees making human errors, as with the players. Goal-line technology is great, and I wouldn't be averse to VAR being used for red card challenges and mistaken identity, but the penalty scenarios throw up too many grey areas. Also, the offside decisions by assistant referees were generally very accurate anyway, with very few mistakes. I think the only way VAR can be saved is that a decision can ONLY be overturned by the referee himself, after looking at the incident on a screen.

Everton rightly angry about their club but still keep their humour. Contrast with Leeds fans.

He really wanted that goal, great story for him and Zimbo today. Incredible to think Christoph was considering quitting football for teaching not very long ago, and has now marshalled his team to a clean sheet away at one of England's biggest clubs. Love this club.

Jobsworth must be having a meltdown right now.

Zimmermann - will take a lot of pressure off Godrey Zimmermann - means Amadou and or Tettey can strengthen our midfield Zimmermann - is loved by the fans and it will be a massive boost to have him back. Like a new signing.

Hernandez and Zimmermann coming into the team has made all the difference.

Why does the word criticism have negative connotations nowadays? FFS, nothing wrong with criticisms, positive or negative....as long as they are valid. Take Jobsworh and a couple of other eejits out of the equation and there has been valid criticism on both sides regardingTodd. If I were to criticise Tim Krul for todays performance, I'd say he was immense, commanding and solid.

Mate theres also an exclamation mark in your post but dont worry, great result.

Nearly every thread on here has someone championing the return of Zimmermann. I think it just shows the delusion that many of our fans are under. This is a guy who has never played at this level before and was major part of the leakiest championship title winning team ever. please! what makes anyone think that his return will have any great impact on our performances. Agreed he is a proper defender and I’m sure that will help but I see nothing to get excited about. It is our strength and ability to affect the game that is missing. We’ve been found out. Get in our faces close us down and we are nullified. Our passing game becomes rushed and frantic. Just like Friday night. Never under control never with poise, never with end product!

@NorwichCityAcad “Our Under-18s put a dominant performance in today to take all three points and progress to the quarter-finals of the #U18PLCup. Great work, lads!”

I've watched every minute of every game this season and Todd has been worthy of criticism based on recent performances but today he is worthy of praise. He made some errors in the first half but was awesome in the second and after his goal, he was absolutely everywhere on the pitch. If you compare with Buendia; he has also received criticism for his errors and was dropped to the bench. That's good for him at this stage and will help his development in the long term. The same is true for Todd, he has had a couple of games on the bench and it has paid dividends with an accomplished performance today.

Behind the team again all game. Having been to Goodison I can vouch it is a 'basic' away section for the fans and not a great venue when loosing to them. However they were loud and virtually continuous throughout with the support for the team. Everton will be shocked this evening.

He`s a young lad giving his all for City, played well today. The best players in the world make mistakes, Cantwell is a gifted young player and has probably received some unfair criticism. Yes sometimes he loses the ball, makes a bad pass etc but he has a certain quality about him. Some of our boys are very young and will only get better. We should support them not knock them.

MoM Todd Cantwell. Was allowed to maraude all over the pitch today and took up great defensive positions and attacking runs. Coolly taken goal as well. We also looked much more solid in the defence which in turn made us stronger in midfield. A nicely balanced side and didn't Byram do well?.

Swindon had £29 at 1-0. We ended up with £3.40. Gotta be happy winning 2-0 though. Well done Swindon👍🙃 OTBC 💛💚 Parma has 3/6 from the second set & 1/6 on the third. All to play for in both.

I did tell you all - we were just giving the other teams the appropriate head start due to customary norfolk courtesy. Top 10 finish incoming, now that we have some defenders.

We didn't return the upper tier tickets, the club decided we didn't need it! If we haven't sold out the smaller allocation then support is waning. Who ever goes though get behind the lads!

Back at Liverpool hotel several pints in before Everton tomorrow. REEVO !! Christ , I absolutely idolised Kevin Reeves . My favourite player in my early teens , and it doesn’t get much stronger than that ! He was carried off shoulder high in his last game if I remember rightly . In tears , he didn’t really want to leave . Yes East Rider , he paid for the River End stand although it was sworn we didn’t have to sell him for that . Bunch of lies . Then the knee injuries f***** him up . He was proper England class . I also think fan in right of picture was called Ginger , very well known to the Barclay Boys of that time . Fearless . Long time ago in a different world ! Thanks Bobloz3 , great post mate .

One chance, one goal. Can't argue with that. I know the opening post was in jest, but in case anyone is seriously thinking it, the answer has to be no.

Got to be MacLean for me. Todd was poor first half. Much better second. But MacLean was a thorn in their side when we played it long and he wouldn't be beaten to the ball in the air.

I utterly despair at the whining stupidity of some people. Amadou was crocked. So he's probably not as fit, so he doesn't start. Also, as he has yet to flippin start in midfield, it would be less certain in terms of pairings. Totally sensible to have him on the bench as a great option later in the game. You can resume your whining stupidity now. Don't think there has been any whining except yours.

Disappointed not to see Vrancic and Amadou in partnership. And I know Buendia hasn't shown too much but the stats say he is our leading tackler, creates the most chances.

Looks like McLean will be playing further forward, think it’ll suit him

Ha ha, I was in the away end (think it was in part of their North stand) at Portaloo road early 80s as a youngster and saw a tall thin ginger haired city fan climb from right to left over the city fans to remonstrate with the Ipswich fans (along with a few other city fans) and I always wondered who he was. Never hung around to find out as we came out of the ground and me and few mates just ran (know idea where) until we decided to stop. It kicked off a bit. Those were the days I suppose.

"Burnley/West Ham/Palace and Brighton away results" Whilst not disgraceful, they do show a negative trend over a substantial period of time. The concern is more than justified - especially as the trend shows no sign of changing trajectory. That's a lot of points lost to so called rivals. But what will be, will be. We should definitely try a bit harder to enjoy it and you never know! The biggest disappointment for me is if the atmosphere suffers and we lose what was being built so well last season (and into this). Having partisan support is defined more clearly during the not so good times.
