That reminds me, I need to book the opticians.

Whatever is said about him on here, it's not going to have impacted his performance tonight. Giving him a five-year contract looks a bizarre decision given his output on the pitch for club and country. I don't think there's a single Norwich fan who doesn't want him to do well, but sadly he seems miles away from repaying the faith we've put in him. Genuinely think we'd be better off loaning him out to get him out of the limelight for a bit, see if he can get a run of games and goals going at a lower level.

Southgate should play Grealish for the full 90 minutes, just for the lols.

If he does a nice thing doesn't make him a nice person. Any therapist will tell you that. He's been hostile and arrogant on too many occasions. That behaviour has been tolerated by Smith & Jones, but will not get tolerated elsewhere. No club will put up with it.It's nothing about 'headlines', we've all seen and heard what he has done since 2017 and overall his behaviour has not been acceptable.

It really isn't. It's a completely unnecessary comment from the owners and ill timed. A comment that shows support for a person that has aggrieved many supporters through his unprofessional and passive aggressive nature. It's absolutely clear to everyone that Webber and Norwich have run it's course. Their comments suggest he could have carried on as long as he wanted, and that's worrying. So it's more than just "taking exception" to the comment - it's the context behind it.

Yep this club never explores non-league football for talent. On another subject, Welcome to Norwich Kellen Fisher from *looks at notes* non-league Bromley.

Two assists tonight in a 2-0 win for Finland on left of midfield. Just proves what some of us said in the last year or two - that Pukki might be better playing behind a striker as he gets older. Why we persisted with him up front and Idah and Sargent on the wings is mystifying, both under Smith then Wagner. Pukki is such a clever skilful player that he can play that withdrawn position well....he was just never played there for us. A wasted opportunity imo.

As much as everyone doesn't want to believe it, he's just not good enough for this level, and unfortunately never will be.

We've had Ukraine, Covid, blob, civil service, cherry-picked links and Rejoiniac! My Right-Wing R3tard bingo card is almost fully stamped.

Of all the sticks with which to beat the owners taking exception to this comment of theirs seems the feeblest, and that is among some pretty steep competition for feebleness.

It's not at all. Devastated - cause (someone) severe and overwhelming shock or grief - Are they really devastated? In any case, be devastated in private. Releasing statements and comments like that into the public in this situation when you are the owners of big business and organisations, makes you weak and submissive, and arguably suggests it's Webber who's bigger and outgrown Norwich. Of course, that's just my opinion. I just don't like it from the owners of our Football Club. It's a position that requires an element of ruthlessness, which is not in their DNA.

He’s just not doing it. Partly confidence and partly that he needed a loan two years ago. Seriously don’t think he is up to it but we shall see.

Maybe although Lyon was handed his wickets really. He didn’t bowl many great balls in my view. I get Bazball but I still don’t see why it can’t be modified to avoid throwing away quite so many wickets. The two stumpings today were stupid and both batsmen who were in and looking good.

Bloody brilliant. It must be so unsettling for the opponent playing a team like this.

Waiting for "Pride" and "drag queens are paedos". Or "stop sexualising our kids" with any reference to homosexuality. I wonder if these people were furiously jacking one off when watching Mrs. Doubtfire.

The credibilty of the Heil doesn't need Johnson to ruin it, that ship sailed a long time ago.

Webber has been great for Delia and Michael. He's undoubtedly taken the focus and flack away from them. Similarly Webber deserves all the credit for all the good things that have happened in the last 5 or so years. It's time for D&M to step aside ASAP.

"When Norwich came in, I was really excited. There's a vision, there's a plan, and there's the obvious pathway for me. "I know there's a lot of youth players that get brought through the club, so it was a no brainer for me." Think that quote just might be Webber's legacy if managers continue to work in a similar vein. Promising youngsters note this sort of thing and want to see a clear way into first-team football at higher levels. Think this might help us re. Johnston (although I still think we're outsiders for his signature with Stacey being bought).

—————— ‘So farewell then Stuart Webber, aged 34 and a half. Ignore the noise you said And then you didn’t. Came with free weapons in your pocket Left with expensive ankle weights. Pissed higher up the wall than anyone before you Left all your friends behind after you. Built the training ground with the fan’s money Then never got any more from anyone else. Left for mountainous challenges What remains is mostly flat. So farewell then Stuart Webber All the new looks like the old’ É.J.Thribb ————

It’s a trait of certain norwich fans that they’re not happy unless they’re unhappy. that’s why they go missing during the good times. Id say football fans in general however we seem to breed them

On behalf of the CSF a big thank you to all the pickers and posters who supported these threads in so many ways through the season. As CSF Emma always says 'you're all amazing'.

Brilliant first day of Ashes . Thought we were a bit unlucky really when some our batsmen looked set . Brave declaration - I’m all for that . I did expect Anderson to bowl I must admit . Could be a great series - got tickets for Headingley, can’t wait !!

I quite liked last season's design. Just a shame it's boil in the bag material and I hardly ever saw us win at home in it. I suspect it will last a good 40 years if chucked in landfill.

This is very much like the desperate dying arguments that climate change deniers used to make despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Drowning in their denial of facts and clutching at straws. Cherry pick a few facts, take out of larger context i.e. the weather is cold (or hot) today as opposed to long term climate averages. The jury has been back a long time on Brexit. It's economically damaging. There is no surprise there and accepted even by most rational (if that's not an oxymoron) Brexiters. There are extremely simple reasons why that is so. We'd all respect the remaining Brexiters (the loons to use your phraseology) a lot more if they just accepted that fact and then looked for ways to improve our economy - better market access with Europe for instance. That and of course a realization that we shouldn't be 'anti-EU' or German or whatever the flavour is today - especially as they are are our largest customers (hint - if your customers are hard up they won't be buying your goods and you'll be hard up too - economics class101). Tell us how you are going to improve the economy so we aren't laggards without as per Truss busting the bank ? Go 'American' - Cut the welfare state, NHS, employment rights, increase the labour market (more immigration), no state pension at all until your assets are under 23500 as per 'care' - that would work perhaps and create a dynamic economy but be unpopular. Bring it on I say!

What? Johnson? Not following rules? Really? Well, I never would have guessed!!! EDIT: I guess we have a new breed of rat, namely "rattus johnsonicus". Boris Johnson failed to inform watchdog over new Daily Mail column (msn.com)

Usually. I think they made the 2nd day last year. Also if you remember it coincided with 'not just another kit launch' campaign which delayed it 24hrs and caused meltdown on here with a few saddos.

I have to live the corporate world each day of the week, so I love how we're ran and find it refreshing knowing we have owners who actually care for the club, and people they work with. We'll soon be a club ran by numbers, though, don't worry about that. I look forward to what comes as I'm an optimist, and even though the Attanasio's end goal is to make money on us, that can only happen if we have success on the field. But, as I miss the Queen now there's a King in her place, I think I'll be feeling the same way the day that Delia steps down and we have an American businessman smiling back at us. (Well, the few times a season we see him).

One minute you proclaim to be an expert on club finances, then you come up with this bizarre statement. By stating this you even push yourself as the voice of "the people" and yet everyone knows your main motivation is what benefits YOU. You need to drop this "big game" that everyone can see through and consider that the amount of BS you chuck about really isn't doing you any favours.

I've not watched any of this coverage of Citeh, I'm failing to see why people are so interested in any of it, total hyperbole and too much coverage of state owned sport. There's only one City! OTBC!
