3 pointsSeriously Midland... where do you think money comes from? Simply printed off by the south stand sponsorsā printing division, perhaps. Or could we have set up a phalanx of shiny new food banks at Carrow Road nominally to subsidise Tory Britainās poor, but actually taking a generous cut of the produce to build up a City kitty? All great ideas, but a supportersā bond was an excellent way to appeal to heads (Ā£) and hearts (<3). Just the imaginative thinking a self -funding club needs. Personally Iām proud of the club for doing it and of the supporters for their convincing response. They all got paid off, the club got its facilities to attract better players. It was hardly a whip-round of the bucket on the rec.

2 pointsBit too early to write off Steipi IMO. Yes he hasn't been great this season, but we'll need him next season if we go down. Plus with a bit of confidence, he could contribute this season.

2 pointsSurely it has to be a competition rule? It may only matter to the two teams during the game. But the outcome of one round surely affects the next?

1 pointFor the boy Farke to now come out and state that there are no positions in the team that require strengthening is just beyond belief. They conceded plenty of goals in the Championship last season and are letting in two goals a game at EPL level. Surely it should have dawned on the club that proper EPL centre-backs are required as is a proper EPL defensive midfielder, as our best player in this position is still one with no knees. It is painfully obvious that Farke, Webber and the board are colluding to get the club relegated and this has been the position ever since promotion was secured against Blackburn. They have all bought into this unachievable idea that the best way to survive in the EPL is to spend no money. The fans have been sold a false prospectus and the level of deceit coming out from the club is just odious in the extreme. This idea that Webber is supposed to be some kind of messianic figure who is going to lead the club to great things in the future (which is how he has been sold to fans) is just false, to put it politely. Farke and Webber are just stooges of the board as the latter have a long history of appointing yes-men. There is no chance that this board would ever appoint a Big Sam as such a person would be coming in to tell the board and we all know that Delia only likes people who agree with Delia.

1 pointI was watching and my first thought was "Ohhhhh so that's how teams felt when they played against Grant Holt" š They have a very similar tactic of getting between opposition and ball, and then going down like a sack of **** as soon as an opponent comes near. Holty was better at it, but Grealish is improving all the time.

1 pointOur best business this window will be keeping everyone and bringing in 3 players in my opinion, cb, attacking mid and a st. But cant see 3 coming in

1 pointSo it's going to cost you Ā£25 to join the Labour party in order to vote for the next leader. Last week the same people were saying poor people can't afford voter ID. And they wonder why we call them Champagne Socialistsš¤£

1 pointGeneral talk about his long term career ambitions... nothing to do with January 2020.
-
1 pointYep, two separate contests @PurpleCanary. If the deputy leader isn't Angela Rayner I will eat my hat. (Word is that everyone thinks the Left cocked up going for Long-Bailey/Rayner rather than Rayner/Long-Bailey as their "dream team")

1 pointMeanwhile .... wag the dog not working so far .... The first poll after the killing of Soleimani shows 53 percent of Americans disapproving of Trumpās handling of Iran, a number similar to what other polling registered in September and October. What has changed is that 39 percent āstrongly disapproveā of Trumpās policyāa number up 10 points since before the Soleimani killing. Americans do not want war with Iran, and they do not trust Trump to lead such a war if it erupts.

1 pointWell at least we got a million quid for him. Time to move onto Idah as the primary backup. Lack of experience is not a problem in front of goal.

1 pointGreat turn, move and strike. Loved also the slight falling-short of the target and huge bobble to get it in the back of the net. Was like a little tribute to the standard of the league, donāt take the p or act all billy big-time and all that.

1 pointYou do realise that I have never spoken to or even set eyes on McNally in The Nelson? I guess as with the rest of it your memory isn't too reliable.

1 pointLet's destroy our close relationship with our European friends and move closer to the USA. What could possibly go wrong?! Oh........
-
1 pointAbsolutely. I'd probably mandate sky blue and white stripes, black shorts and white socks. Can at least pretend to be Argentina. And have Boudicca on a chariot as part of the badge. Pulled by a Suffolk Punch of course.

1 pointI know things are looking bleak in the league at the moment. But I really don't think we're quite at the player sacrifice stage yet are we? A loss to Bournemouth, however, and we may just have to start erecting a wicker man in the car park...

1 pointAs with the Trump gang the Brexiters have spent the last few years lying their arses off, conning the general public to a massive degree and then come out with stuff like this expecting me to believe a word they say. **** off.

1 pointI don't really know what the ongoing issue is with this 'lack of investment' line. I feel like it's an easy thing for people to moan about. But I recall the so called 5 year plan being banded about, I could be wrong, and I am fully open to being corrected by anyone who remembers it better than I. Within this 5 year plan (which we are only a year and a half into?): We aimed to be in the Premier League and on our way to being an established Premier League side. A relegation in that time was planned for, being realistic. We aimed to do this with a self-sustained model. No splurges, to ensure to financial wellbeing of the club going forward. I feel these are the most relevant points currently. They haven't changed their minds. They haven't suddenly started keeping things from the fans. They are 100% making all the moves that suggest this plan is still in place. So what is the issue? This sounded like a great plan when they revealed it. But suddenly now we aren't happy with it?? We are all aware promotion in the first season was entirely unexpected, so why not take it as a free hit? To those suggesting we up the spending at risk, that's a very short sighted vision. The equivalent of taking a payday loan because you're definitely convinced you will not be skint this time next month... To those suggesting the board are lining their pockets - Has it not occurred to you that the lack of spending could possibly ACTUALLY be in the interest of the club? That there is no conspiracy, that we don't all need to invest in tin foil hats? This could well prevent us being in the same position as when we had to sell Madders only a couple of years ago. That's progress in a short space of time. Our playing assets are ours and nobody can force our hand, we make the terms. Think back to the financial scare we all knew was real when we were in League 1, had we not won instant promotion we were bang in trouble. I'm not sure whether some these people above just want the attention of a reaction, are impatient, have very short term vision or just have extremely short memories. This promotion was unexpected. Our conduct right now could set us up for a more convincing and fruitful assault on the Premier League when the time is right and we have more experience. Fortunes change, make hay while the sun shines. Don't spend it all believing that the sun will never set.

1 pointIdah will count as āunder ageā at the moment - heās been in the squad so far this season so in any case will have already been in our home/overseas/under-age contingent. Per wiki (which may be wrong!): Each club is able to list up to 17 senior players that are not English or Welsh and did not spend a significant period in an English or Welsh academy, plus any number of homegrown players up to a maximum squad size of 25, plus an unlimited number of academy and under-21 players. So imo heāll be in the āunlimitedā u21 list at the moment and a homegrown player before heās 21.
