6 pointsI haven't budged an inch because I know I am right. I had a slight movement to "lets get this terrible thing done" until I started reading about the Russian and US interference, the Fakebook and CA interference and the massive electoral fraud, so I ended up back where I started. Whereas, and let's take your new friend Moyo as an example, the leave gang have moved all over the place, from one extreme to the other, from "we hold all the cards" and "we'll get the best deals ever" all the way through to "we'll happily leave with nothing" and the "EU are bullying us" once reality hit home. Right from the start remain supporters have been warning you that the UK is not as powerful as some people think. In response was some guff about us talking the country down and not being patriotic when in fact we were just being realistic.Unfortunately the bull in a china shop, unrealistic patriotism has got us where we are. Just a shame you had to drag the whole country down with you.

3 pointsThere's quite a few on here trying to get the facts out, simple as. In a neverending sea of lies and misinformation I think that should be applauded rather than some mealy mouthed acceptance.

2 pointsHas anyone else read Peter Mendham's book? I really enjoyed it but then again I'm 4 months older than Peter so it was very much my period. Of course, it covers his downfall but it also covers that period when I believe Norwich City came out of the shadows with the charismatic management of Bond and Brown along with that fabulous Admiral strip. As Peter makes clear he will never be forgiven by some so don't look upon this book as his seeking redemption. Read an account of a local boy who was a top class player, undervalued through his loyalty, who lost his way when injury cut him down in his prime. Enjoy reading about Fashanu, Peters, McDougal, Boyer, Reeves, Suggett, O'Neill, Robson, Neighbour etc etc, or the controversial relegation, the promotions (we were yo-yo then too) and the League Cup win. Consider too how life can change in an instant. Its a good read.

2 pointsSteady on,old chap .......or you'll have the usual armchair experts, forum bullies, trolls and anti-Delia t*sspots, all with their vast experience of running a top-division football club, piling in to brand you as Happy Clapper for not advocating us spunking millions that we don't actually have š

2 pointsI remember that day well, I was in line for the Fash goal with 75,000 other spectators then immediately afterwards we all jumped onto the coaches after the game and headed off to watch the **** Pistols at West Runton Pavilion, we were all queued behind another 100,000 who tell me that they too were also in line for the Justin Fashanu goal, wow that was some day I can tell you

2 pointsOne of the reasons why I'm 100% behind our current approach is that, whilst the old adage of football being cyclical is generally true, there are times when you have a clear opportunity to break that cycle. With the current excellent recruitment and focus on superb young players (and hopefully an extended CR in the next three years) we could be miles ahead of them for decades. What a wonderful thought.

2 pointsMainly @SwindonCanary it is because we arn't. What tends to happen is that you, or one of your fellow travellers, posts an unfounded piece of wishful thinking about what will happen (positively to the UK, negatively to the EU) and then we provide facts and evidence that debunks this. Like the quote you invented from Macron. If the UK government accepts the very reasonable offers from the EU then things will turn out not too bad, not good, just not too bad. If the go it in the gung ho fashion that some suggest it will be a crisis. The choice is Johnson's, he is solely responsible. No longer can any downturn be blamed on uncertainty or us remainers.

2 pointsHe's signed a contract that means he has to include the words 'cash pile' in every post he makes from now on. Check his post history, it's funny/tragic.
-
2 pointsAgree with all of that @Herman except for one small but very important edit - it is unrealistic nationalism that has got us where we are, I don't think patriotism has anything to do with mad Moyo's (or others like him) stance on Brexit. Even worse, it's not even British/UK nationalism - it is English nationalism and is based upon a pretty unpleasant set of values/beliefs.

1 pointtoday, I saw one of the greatest games I have ever witnessed and I saw one of the best goals I have ever seen Justin Fashanu vs Liverpool (Goal of the Season as it turned out) I don't like losing but it was fantastic to see my team take on one of the best teams I have ever seen, and give them a bloody good game. Forty years? Jeez, I need to re evaluate my life, and quickly.

1 pointTo offer a counterbalance to the thread of gripes... I'll start. When the ball hits the side-netting and the away fans think it's gone in... a distant cheer, followed by a massive "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" from the home fans as they realise what's happened. When some form of animal gets onto the pitch. When the ref falls on his Ɣrse. A good old-fashioned 22-man brawl, with bonus points if the commentator says "Nobody wants to see that". FA Cup First Round Proper day, when big League One clubs go to tiny little sheds in the middle of nowhere to play on a ploughed field.

1 pointI don't know why folk who have given up feel they'd be on the "naughty step". Throwing in the towel is lack of bottle. Not naughty or niceš

1 pointYeah, he'd be crazy to put out his strongest XI just before a CL game, especially given the cushion they have in the PL. They've had at least eight of their first ten outfielders nailed down week-in-week-out - Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Mane, Salah, Firmino - so making a few changes could unsettle them more than expected. As with the Man City game, we'll have to take our chances early, defend like Trojans and hope they have a massive off day, but stranger things have happened.
-
1 pointThere may well be a difference between what's best for our club and what you or I think is best for our club. Afterall this thread shows massive differences between what posters think is best for our club. Why would any of us know better than the owners as to what's best for our club?
-
1 pointBut why would you care? It would only make sense to be downcast if these Remainer predictions were fact-based and eminently plausible...

1 pointBlimey forty years, I was also in the Barclay that day, genuinely (I was not in the crowd of 100,000 or so who saw the **** Pistols at West Runton Pavillion).........
-
1 pointOh yes, nearly forgot to mention. I WAS in the Barclay that day, and in line with the goal (just like 75,000 other people)
-
1 point...and when you bear in mind they are playing at the lowest division theyāve been in during that time, it does make you realise just how great Lambertās doing!š

1 pointWell all I can say is that our thoughts are with Camellia Bush . I hope she makes it KG. Is it lumbago? To be fair, she has always been a bender
-
1 pointWith PAOK likely to win later it's looking like a very unlucky 5/6 Mandie. You'll get them all next year thoughš Tough week for BTTS. Boy-anon and Girl-anon shared three between them. We'll be winning again soon.

1 pointMaybe he just really likes it at Norwich? He's had two years being the number-one sole striker, has scored a ton of goals in a side playing progressive football, and has also become a cult hero back home in the meantime. Maybe it's not worth the gamble of trying to find somewhere else where he's loved to the same degree, and he'd rather have another season scoring loads of goals here? Holty and Hucks were both journeymen, but they found a home at Norwich and stayed longer than we might have expected.

1 pointHaven't people heard of spoons? Oh no. That is what weekend hipsters call Wetherspoons, the place where if you run out of brown sauce, just dip your chicken drummer in the carpet.

1 point............and.......... we're back on to history. The whole point of The Major in Fawlty Towers, and of Alf Garnett was that it was showing how ridiculous people who held/hold those views are.
