Interesting stuff in the PinkUn shows. Mainly just loving reliving the season and hearing people talk about all those iconic moments and other moments I’d completely forgotten about. Is keeping me going for now waiting for the DVD to come out. Particularly like the stats, a lot I hadn’t heard before and some I never would’ve believed. (Mayor) McLean is a lot more influential as a DM than I thought. The stats show his interceptions and ability in the air as being a major reason he kept his place (along with the obvious of scoring and making goals). I always watched him and thought he’d be better further up the pitch and whilst stats aren’t everything, Farke has clearly seen the benefit of him in the role alongside Trybull and the results we got certainly back that up. I still don’t understand the criticism of Krul and those suggesting we need a new first choice keeper for next season. The comparison to Gunn and Ruddy was interesting, better with his passing and save % than both and conceded less than Gunn in 46 games. 3 more ‘errors leading to goals’ than Gunn but the change in our way of playing put more emphasis on Krul to pass the ball around and get our play going. The problem he had, which was alluded to was the mistake he made in the first home game (however it was pointed out he had barely any preseason and after having played very little football for years so was always going to be rusty) and producing his best performances away from home, so the majority of city fans not seeing the best of him. Again stats not everything, just an interesting amount of information which, if nothing else shows he has been a solid keeper and a match winner, pivotal to our success. Not enough is made of the fact we only lost 2 games away all season. Unbelievable. We scored in 43 of the 46 games. One 0-0 all season (I was there, horrible night). Aarons is annoyingly young....and brilliant. Stiepermann is underrated and an unsung hero of the season. Best combination with Pukki for goals I think was said? ...and that’s only as far as new year. Plenty of good stuff to come, the binners, the run in, Leeds away, some Buendía analysis etc etc. Good stuff.

Webber’s replacement is already here - Daniel Farke will make the step from Head Coach to Sporting Director. That was always his plan in the early days if you remember some of Farkes interviews - he was more interested in being a SD than a HC.

Let's face it, the amount of training being done there,they'd be better off re developing it.

If he was offered the same role at Man Utd as he has here, then of course he’d go, but that doesn’t sound like what the newspaper / journo suggests they are offering - instead to be chair of an ex-player dominated recruiting committee.

Man Utd? Don't make me laugh. It would not be a step up for him imo, it would be a step into a nightmare - in terms of what Werbber would be looking for. The culture isn't there for him - and he would not be given enough power to change the whole culture of such a club, which is what would be needed. Some clubs you could see him going to, but Man Utd imo, is not one of them. A poisoned chalice if ever there was one.

Alright today we have the League 2 Playoff Final. Newport Couty v Tranmere Rovers And the Scottish cup We also have a charity raising on this thread and are looking for new blood to join. We make suggestions on the championship play off final like Both teams to score etc and a bet is placed on a selection of them with the winnings going to charity.

On the subject of spelling....I hate spelling words wrong and dont like seeing it anywhere else - it's just lazy imo as you can check spellings of words so easily. On grammar, things like using "of" in sentences as in "could of" is just rancidly bad, but so many people seem to do it. Ffs - it's "could've" (shortened version of 'could have') not "could of".....which is totally meaningless. "I could have bought a ticket for the derby" becomes "I could've bought a ticket for the derby" not "I could of bought a ticket" !!! It's not English! It's total nonsense! It's ignorant! It's annoying! Don't do it! Agggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

FFP seems to have been a poorly constructed and implemented deterrent from the outset. Must do better. Probably difficult though, but this might well put the cat among the pigeons. I do not think that the club (ITFC) selling their training ground to Evans will present quite the same problem as long as the so-called market price was adhered to. In Derby's case the owner paid far over the odds apparently in order to sidestep FFP. I'll bet Evans would just love to sell that patch of land for development. Might happen one day as long as there are no caveats in the acquisition preventing this.

Agree with Surfer, his reputation is up there atm, risking it on a basket case like Man U could set him back years. His talent is unearthing unknown quality, not bringing in multi million pound players that are being scouted by all the other big Clubs. Nothing to see here......I hope.

A valid point, and previously I would have agree with you, but haven't you seen the state of the Brexit thread on here? Grown people who should know better seems to be par for the course.

What always gets me, is just when you think it's some spotty teenager who can't handle his drink and has just lashed out, you find out that it is, in fact, a bloke in his mid forties, with a wife and kids, a mortgage and a job like the rest of us.

I'm not saying he wouldn't be tempted, for obvious reasons, but if the story is right, and he would be working with Woodward and Solskjaer, and others, as an adviser, then he would have much less autonomy and power than he has with us, and less than he might have with some other clubs.
