TheGunnShow 6,027 Posted June 22, 2023 Could be anything. I'm led to believe Wagner really wants to put fitness work into the lads and with a pre-season that can go two ways. Bomb out of the blocks with a team that's much sharper and fitter (think Bielsa's Leeds) than others, or start slowly (like Farke's teams) as they're still recovering a little/not fully grooved in. yellowrider120 793 Posted June 22, 2023 I heard last night that the latest German God has six weeks from the season start to 'make an impression' otherwise yet another managerial change! One might suggest that our appalling run in last season and ZERO goals scored in last FIVE home matches was enough of an 'impression' for him to have been released already! The August fixtures do look reasonably kind for him, though, so the axe may get deferred until October. (+1) I think out of the opening 5 games, Millwall and Rotherham are the most likely to be 3 pointers. (+6) Huddersfield, again who knows at their place. You'd expect a win though (+3) .
