Brexwits whining about how much the EU costs us. Now they're championing Boris' deal which would cost £130 billion in growth over the next 15 years according to the government's own figures. Brilliant work. You couldn't make up how thick this lot are. Theresa May's deal for comparitive purposes would have cost about £45billion in growth over the same period. Be very surprised if this is voted through without a referendum being attached anyway.

I'm not normally a biased sort of person but technically Johnson has been forced down this route by Parliament and the EU has barely compromised. I'll give him some credit. He is brilliant at polishing turds.

Having had four keyhole surgeries in one go (don't ask) , I confirm that if successful, he should be healed in a few days, the main factors in a hernia op are size of tear, where in the muscle that the tear occurs and which muscle is affected. The use of a medical mesh screen to assist in repairing and strengthening the muscle also speeds the process. I still think two weeks between op and playing seems a little quick, but as someone said above, intensive rehab and physio could make all the difference.

What matters is not what anyone has said, but how our sovereign Parliament votes, and they have already passed a motion to allow whatever is brought up for a vote by the government to be amended. That said it’s fun to see the Torygraph going full bore in their breathless support for any Cummings spin he can push out re DUP etc.

No, but if MPs vote down this deal and Juncker still says there should be no extension then I can pretty much guarantee some countries will agree and use their veto. Whereas if Juncker says there should be an extension some might still veto.

Benn Act is now an irrelevance if the EU does not want an extension. It means either a deal passes through the HoP or we leave with no deal on October 31. Junkers announcement really puts the cat among the pigeons. If ERG and DUP vote against the deal it needs Labour to support it to get through. Next few days should be fun

I think it's just EU pressure to get it sorted. What they don't want is HoP not to pass it and yet come to no conclusion on the way forward (a GE might not solve anything). So get off the pot and decide what you are going to do - No Deal, Boris Deal or a Deal with a Ref. The EU will not want to be blamed for forcing the UK into No-Deal (and if it is No-Deal or Boris's deal all the ERG will vote No-Deal - makes no sense does it! ).

I'm sure they've lost patience, but if they were presented with the option of an extension with a definitive endpoint, ie a second referendum on Johnson's deal, they would willingly agree to one, despite Junker's bluster. Imagine it, the UK Parliament says "we've passed the deal but want it given public consent", and the EU saying, "No, we're not having that". Ironically, in that hypothetical situation, it would be the Remainers moaning about the EU imposing itself on the UK whilst the Brexiteers would be cheering.

You're putting a completely different slant on what I said & your original post ( & Sutton's comments). The inference by yourself & Sutton is that the injuries had no significant impact on the result. My contention is that they did. Once we get at least Krul & Tettey back I believe that our defensive performance will improve. Once Zimmerman returns we will improve further (this is all assuming said players perform to their previous standard of course). I agree we have never - under Farke - been a defensively minded team & will probably always concede more goals than we'd like. I still believe that once we get those players back it will be enough for us to survive, even with playing with the same philosophy.

Welcome Indy. With your funds you can allocate any number of bets from the suggestions of the PUPs and it's not ungiveable to add a few yourself. People tend to allocate £1, £2, or even 50p to bets, but its whatever you want to do really. I've seen 25p and £5 etc. The bets have to be placeable from william hill or bet365

If the DUP don't come on board then it will fail. If they agree then I imagine the vote would be very close; Too close to call. One factor that could swing the vote Johnson's way would be if the EU makes it plain that it is either this deal or a No-Deal. If there ever was a chance of the EU agreeing to another extension for more talks then the events of the last few days have definitely ended that. An extension now would only be for a general election.

I think it might just pass - but only with a referendum added - which I've regarded as inevitable for a year now! Saturday will tell.

Apples for a daft bet I’d go with RKC Waalwijk to beat Ajax! I know Ajax have won five on the bounce and Waalwijk have lost five on the bounce but it’s been a funny season here so think an upset could be on the cards! What's the difference between making an incorrect early judgement (presumably based on ignorance), and "changing your mind depending on the evidence"? The latter phrase implies that there was no evidence Farke was a quality coach prior to the turnaround last season and he suddenly became a magician overnight, whereas in reality his skills and philosophies have been developed over decades of football experience. Winning the Championship in two seasons would be an achievement for any coach, but factor in the outrageous constraints he was working under in terms of finances and selling key players, and I would suggest that those who could see green shoots of recovery and were prepared to give Farke time are those that were making an evidence-based argument.

Those days were different and it's difficult to compare but I think that the feelings I had last season outweighed even the heady days of the 80's and 90's, outstanding though they were. Maybe there is an element of feeling that now is the best time....and in a way that is how it should be - and also this season the win against Man City was as epic as anything we have done in the past...and that was just four games ago. We've had a rough three week spell, no doubt about it, but the teamwork and potential does not just disappear for good after a couple or three bad results. It will return - and imo we will be stronger for those bad results as players come back from injury, spirit is renewed and positivity returns.

I did actually, back when I was in school, but as the rule of 3 applies to declared IQ results on the internet (divide the claimed IQ by three to get a more accurate result), I won't be divulging my score. So at least that's one of us who has actually done a Mensa test.
