So pleased with this one ... well done Webber!

Exciting times.

I can stop refreshing websites all day for updates on this saga now!

It was a veritable Greek Odyssey. At least we've got him Homer now. 😉

No 18, like that Maria woman said 2 days ago, seems she's really is ITK, unlike the chancers on here..... 😏

Emi who? No seriously, just imagine if we had the financial clout to have been able to find these signings AND keep Emi! (That’s not a dog at ownership but the way)

Why does he look like he's being forced into it?

Just Greek cool.

Like the kind he shows before slotting in goals!

Does anyone know, and it's a bit of a long shot I appreciate, but who would have scouted him i.e. was this part of Kieran Scott's remit before he left?

If Tzolis does kick on as well as the Emi find, then Scott's got big boots to fill.

I imagine it’s a collective decision, so it’s not possible to say one person is responsible. At a guess (one of?) the technical analyst first highlights a player’s stats, then a scout physically watches them, then someone like Scott gets involved, finally going to Webber (and Farke) for discussion and sign-off before we decide to pursue the player.

They sent a couple of the experts on here for an all inclusive jolly.

OK, if Tzolis is good... what about others that don't have chants yet?

Sargent Josh's Norwich Barmy Fans - to the tune of Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Rashica - ?
Gilmour - ?
Does Giannoulis have one yet?

Chelsea fans have a decent song for Gilmour (To the tune of Dontcha which I believe is by the Pussycat Dolls).

You know I've never seen a player like Billy Gilmour

He's the Scottish Iniesta and he's five feet four

Given that he was being scouted by Barcelona, Liverpool, and Man U, I think knowledge of his talent was widely well known Hence the more hefty fee we had to pay for him.

If we get a CB and DM in as well before the end of the window then I don't think a single person can level any criticism at the club for this transfer window. But given the importance of those roles I feel that if the window ended today, for all the young, exciting attacking talent we've signed, I still think we'll end up relegated, such is the importance of those 2 roles.

Webber spotted him years ago apparently, even had him on trials at Liverpool when he was their head of academy recruitment.

100% agree. That “Skipp” role for me will determine whether we have enough to stay up or whether we just fall short. I have every faith, in fact I’d go so far as to say the fact we still haven’t filled that role is probably a good sign in a round about way. The best players seem to take the longest to get over line. I still believe we’ll end up with Skipp.

Yes I think we need to draw a line under the attacking options now and target what we see as the main priority positions.

The lack of specialist DM is probably dictating that we can't adopt 5 at the back. 4-3-3 looks a real potent option for us though.

@TIL 1010 This would go nicely with your italics, what do you think?

I think you need to look back at why i post in italics and how it came about. Clearly it is still working. 😜

Surely there must be a CDM due to come in?

Strange no rumours beyond holding out for Skipp but Webber does have a real knack for keep things quiet until deal is normally done.

That's some pretty attentive scouting if true, Tzolis was ten when Webber left Liverpool!

This is from the Greek journalist in the PinkUn interview - spotted at 10/11 he says;

Impressive stuff, if true. I know the big clubs cast their nets far and wide, but Webber must have found Tzolis when he was nine or ten if he spotted him whilst working for Liverpool.

Confirmed in the article on the front page.

Tzolis trained with the Liverpool academy when he was 10/11 years old.

Webber is the all seeing overlord of the universe - he sees everything and knows everything about everyone!!

Yeah, there is a little question over whether the dates match (and if Webber would have really known that much about Tzolis as clubs like Liverpool will offer trials to 100s of kids at that age).

Nice story though - don't ruin the #narrative with facts 😉

Thought it was a bit odd the Greek journalist saying Norwich fans need to be patient with Tzolis and he will be a big player for Norwich in 1-2 years. We’re obviously expecting he can make an immediate impact.

Match Liverpool 433 Saturday if cantwell isn't available. Be a very good game.

Tzolis is raw as they come - I'm not sure Norwich think he'll make an immediate impact to be honest.

If Farke intends to go to a 4-3-3 base formation, then you have spots for two attacking midfielders and Tzolis, Cantwell, Dowell and Rashica all battling for those spots  (and maybe even Sargent). Wouldn't be surprised if Rashica and Cantwell are the main two starters, with Tzolis used more in rotation and from the bench initially. The step up from Greece is huge, Giannoulis struggled with the step up to the Championship initially and he is a far more experienced player.

Tzolis had an exceptional start last season, but tapered off a bit as the season ran on - I don't think he's ready to be a Premier League regular right now.

I'm thinking he'll be a bit like Bentley was for us, he'll be a bit inconsistent and he'll need work and development but he'll still have qualities for us in the here and now.

Like all youngsters he'll take a bit more management than a more experienced pro. 1-2 years he'll still be 2-3 years off getting towards his peak but his talent will be more consistent and clear.

Are we?

Young man, long way from home. Is he immediately going to displace Todd who has been our left forward/winger for some time?

I expect he'll begin on the bench and get chances to prove his worth. We shouldn't "obviously expect" any immediate impact.

Tzolis joins Placheta in the talented but raw step.   Hopefully both can show us how quickly they can learn
