Farage has left LBC ‘by mutual consent’ effective immediately- he signed off his show yesterday saying he’d be back today, so how ‘mutual’ it was it debatable. Comes 24 hours after Stan Collymore said he and an influential group were going to get LBC advertisers to pull out until they stopped giving his racism a platform. well done Stan 👍

If we sign him we sign him. For me to be happy about it he'd need to be taking a fairly huge wage cut- he's reportedly on £40k a week at Sheffield Wednesday, even 25% of that would be too much for an aging back up who does little outside of finishing. I think my issue as much as anything is the fact that every time the mere suggestion of a striker is floated, people seemingly can't see beyond Jordan Rhodes. He isn't the be all and end all of strikers there are plenty who could do what he does. Yet the obsession seems to mainly stem from being a nice guy in the dressing room- as far as I can see we've got enough of those.

Truth is NNL - this shower (to be fair those that control them - Johnson et al is too stupid) actually don't want a deal - or only one on their terms. They are quite happy with the no-deal and welcome or accept the economic consequences that will follow - it will let them then re-invent the UK economy along the US model on steroids - sure most of boomers and then the daft dimwit poor Brexiters will find out far far too late that they were had, hook line and sinker as their benefits and safeguards disappear and jobs have to be fought for at the lowest price but the deed will be done and a ruthless winner takes all and who cares about the poor, but a dynamic economy will follow - back to pre-war - which is of course how they think they like it! It's not even a secret - Minford, Britannia unchained etc. It's pure ideology sold to the gullible as a form of unthinking nostalgia or Empire 2.0 as its been called. A myth. They've realized they can lie and lie again and those that voted for them are too stupid to realize.

It's not helpful. I had to point out on social media the other day, there was a post with 30 odd comments of hate and anger because there was a news article about Dads Army being taken off iPlayer or whatever. The article was posted by a parody, satirical news site called the Daily Dafty. None of the 30 odd comments had even noticed they were getting angry about a fake news piece that advertises itself as being a fake, p*ss take article.

Look on the bright side Bill. If you ever want any proof of how idiotic, ill informed or just plain misled some on the Brexit side are you need look no further than Swindon. Long may he continue as a shining example to all.....

it took 10 years for Canada to hammer out the CETA deal and you ,tweety pie, think that this **** shower can comprehend the economic need for a comprehensive deal at the last minute. Please tweety, don't go to school again, go past google and see what you can find in the library to educate yourself. good luck with all the eye openers you will discover. I suggest you start with John Stuart Mill's 'on liberty' and maybe follow that up with J.A Hobsons 'imperialism, a study'.

It seems to me that a total lockdown can never work in the UK at least, and perhaps also in many other countries as well. Vital workers apart, the recent demonstrations have been totally at odds with the 80 days of self-confinement that most of us have had to contend with, as has everything else from beach gatherings on hot days to the antics of the likes of Cummings and various MPs and medics. The damage to the economy is staggering and everything from the massive national debt to bankruptcies and the closure of businesses that have formed the fabric of society as we have come to know it. I read somewhere that 50% of pubs may never reopen, perhaps more. This will be reflected throughout the small business world and in the high street.Three hundred thousand seamen are stuck at sea. Airlines are going bust. Unemployed people need social security benefits and cannot pay taxes. Then there is the neglect, or rather deferment, of treatment for people with other serious conditions, particularly cancer patients. The NHS is building up an 8 million strong waiting list apparently An increase of the rates of suicide, depression, loneliness and domestic violence and crime have resulted from confinement. Education has virtually come to a stand still in many cases. We are warned of a second wave of this plague, but we cannot afford another lockdown such as the one we have just experienced for all the above reasons and many more. Whilst we wait for that all-conquering anti-viral jab which we hope is nearer to be found than we are often led to believe we have to rely on the various theories about coronavirus, and there are many, such as the fact that it has a shelf life of three months to the fact that it is weakening in strength (according to Italian studies) and the fact that people who show no symptoms may not be as infectious as once thought. Herd immunity might actually exist. Social distancing whenever possible and the wearing of face masks and perhaps other protection equipment will need become the norm for some time to come, but should we get another wave then all efforts must be concentrated upon protecting the most vulnerable whilst the rest of society carries on as normal as is possible. It seems to me that there will be no alternative as the collateral damage of a repeat of the last 80 days will be too destructive to contemplate. Hopefully our slow-witted government will have learnt many lessons by then as well and things will be handled better.

That is just a jumble of words...however I will try The UK contributes to the EU budget so as to split the cost of sorting out trade deals regulation etc Outside that falls solely on the UK, as will the huge cost of a vastly increased bureaucracy dealing with the millions of every forms, checks etc. Being in the EU stops the UK from being 'fcked' over by the likes of China and the US, who even you can grasp are bigger than the UK. So outside of the EU we will be clobbered with huge costs, an inability to st different tariffs anfd find our own industries can be undercut by heavily subsidised goods from elsewhere. There is no one apart from you imagining that the reason for leaving the EU is because things will be cheaper - christ, even the pro brexit MPs accept that ! What you are basically claiming is that by not having a n NCFC ST you can buy tickets cheaper and sit in what part of the ground you choose - stupidity hardly covers it

You beat me to it Herman. Does it understands anything at all. FVCKWIT does not really cover it.

You really are a thick **** SWINDO. When they are out of season in Spain and Portugal we get them from Argentina and Chile, and other places. We always have, we trade with the world

Saw the heading and thought Farage had started a new party
  23. 1 point
Let me try to put it over simply Swindon You pay to be a member of NCFC which entitles you to pay for your ST as well as giving you a 15% discount on every pub, restuarant take away in the City However you have got it into your head that if you end that membership, not only will you be able to buy a ticket for each game cheaper, but you won't have the club telling you where you have to sit - and further to that you will be free to visit every single one of those businesses 9above) and negotiate a far better discount than 15%, as an individual That is as honest and easy as I can explain it - and why the rest of us mock brexiteers for their delusions. There are no sunny uplands, easiest deals, they need us etc - just some extremely wealthy people wanting to remove the protections and benefits that workers across the EU currently enjoy.

It just makes you realise that despite our current superiority, a couple if wrong decisions, and we could quite easily swap places with Ipswich Town within just two or three years. It's far from impossible. It's quite surprising that we are not going to be together in the Championship next season. That's why I think it is unwise to gloat too much. There, but for the grace of God etc etc

Cheers Nutty. I will do my utmost best to try and get the PUPPPS a winning end to the season. Happy picking all you good people.👍

Hi Nutty, now League 1 has been called I'll send to you the lower league half of the pledge (along with tenner for next season). What a season they had, surely worth another star. 🤭🥳🌟 £20 for solidifying their position in League 1. £49 for every goal conceded (36 goals conceded in the League, 5 goals conceded in the FA Cup, 3 goals conceded in the EFL Cup and 5 goals conceded in the EFL Trophy). Teemu, you're generally an intelligent poster, but this post is absolute nonsense. He's a 'goalscoring' centre forward with 17 league goals in the last four seasons, although I'm guessing your 22 includes the cups, and whilst you may be able to point out he has had limited game time, you have to ask why so many coaches have decided to leave him on the bench or out of the squad most of the time, despite not being injured. Obviously when he was here it was due to the form of Pukki, but I don't think that explains the other three years. Just because Drmic's recent goalscoring record was worse than that of Rhodes doesn't make Rhodes a good player. It's like saying Ipswich aren't crap because Stevenage are even worse. And anyway, Drmic had suffered a terrible few years with injury and previously had a very good goalscoring in the Bundesliga, which is a higher level than Rhodes has ever been a success at. Not that I think Drmic is the answer next season either, mind. And I'm not sure if your last paragraph is serious or not, but assuming it is, is any player really worth signing just because they're capable of settling their teammates' nerves for ten minutes? Are our players really that weak mentally that they need someone to come off the bench and calm them down? The clamour to resign Rhodes because he had a half-decent loan spell is reminiscent of the campaigns to bring back Dani Pacheco or Harrison Reed. They did the job they were brought in to do, which we're all grateful for, but let's move on.

The Temptations were probably my favourite Motown group but this is still one of my individual performances and shows the vocal range wasn't just doobee do wah.

I heard Barry Lee and the Planets sing this at the Royal Norfolk Show about 1964. Loved the song and found out who did the original and then came to know Motown.
