I remember a game I played to get into some third rate County Cup -  we went one- nil down and gaffer took 3 guys off and replaced them with 3 of the kids from U16 and told them, ‘Save the Day’

We got an equaliser scored by a 16 year old to draw and held up through extra time.We won the Div 1 Cup Final but it was because of our depth. Kids who can do the job!!

Point is:

I see Angus, Hanley, Kenny, Josh and a load of journeymen

We are mugs to have the third largest wage bill but aren’t top three in the Championship

We need every centre back in the first team gone this summer. McClean is better than all of them, which speaks volumes.

You can't help thinking with all the experience we had on the pitch we didn't manage the situation better.

Our fullbacks have been very poor. Far too easy for boro.

Can't see a top 6 finish with this lot. Mentally fragile.

The game was gone after Sainz walked and probably playoff hopes also.

I'm off to kip.

See ya Saturday.

We're still only 2 pts off Hull

They have the top team on Saturday...we have the bottom...

Honestly West Brom are set for 5th. Very good manager and an in form squad.

We're up against Hull, Coventry and Preston for that 6th place.

We don't deserve to be anywhere near the playoffs , we are basically **** .

You’re hallucinating. There was virtually no contact, certainly no intent

Doesn’t have to be contact. Look up the rule for violent conduct, which it was, and the boy has previous for!

We lost to that bottom team. I wouldn’t rule anything out with this city side / Wagner

Has anyone got a replay of Howsons challenge from the far side ? Keep seeing reports our players were not reacting to save Sainz but to Howson’s challenge, but I haven’t seen that angle, so can’t comment.

Yeah which means we could have gone 4 points clear of them if Sat results go to plan - but no good ole Norwich f—k it up again

We also have Wagner, who is as inept as any manager we've had. I just cant see motivation or tactical knaus from the man.

You can't say that! I thought the club second in the table held that dubious honour!

As ever, the most difficult opponent for this Norwich City side is this Norwich City side.

They do have some terrible luck, for sure. But they always have some nonsense in them to generate that luck.

If we did get into the play offs, the real concern must be that we would get well and truly murdered!

Completely ridiculous decision to give that a red.

Its not like hands to a face which is always going to be a red.

Yes its a bit petulant and yes Sainz is hot headed but that's a bit of handbags, a talking to for both players to try and take the heat out of the game. The referee should have booked Ayling for a bad challenge on Sainz earlier in the game, his failure to do so has contributed to Sainz's frustration.

Ref should have said "Borja, calm down son, going to get yourself in the book if you don't"

Then said to Howson "might have given him a yellow if you'd not made such a meal out of that".

Done.

You see challenges like that every week with no action . More concerned that Howsons studs up challenge went unpunished in the first place. Picture further up the thread.

Total 'bottle' job. Should have seen that game out, even with ten men.

Agree, the fullbacks were awful and we are mentally brittle, the sending off sent the team into panic mode after being in total control

We've been like it all season. We just can't stop gifting silly easy goals.

Seems to me needless petulance from Sainz. Yes not really dangerous but easily enough for the ref to make a snap decision. He's going to be a liability not an asset if he can't get this out of his game as he will be targeted with little niggling fouls by smarter, wiser defenders. Currently not the full ticket.

If you did not know the outcome, you would never say it would be a red.
