Can the commentators actually hear the absolute twaddle they're coming out with about Bale?

"He scores when he likes". "The Golden Boy of Welsh football". "The man's an absolute freak".

He just scored from a penalty.

The bias towards Wales is borderline unprofessional

This ITV coverage is fcuking nauseating.

Are you surprised?  Itv is an embarrassment - there’s a very good reason why many times as many people watch bbc when given a direct choice.

Yep. Fair result. Shame that the other Welsh lads on the pitch didn't contribute as much as Bale. Kiefer Moore, Truro City's old striker, did more for that team than Bale but no matter, its what Bale has done in the past that really counts.

1:1 fair I suppose. USA dominated first half but Wales have edged the second as USA have tired.

Good old "plucky" Wales, playing with heart and determination.

We ARE good at football. We ARE, we ARE.

It reminds me of when we played Newcastle last season and Alan Shearer was the co commentary and kept calling Newcastle “we”

Wales should have started Moore. Bypassing the press and kicking long balls to him is a decent tactic if you have Bale and Ramsay close to him. Big mistake.

Not quite true - Bahrain biggest base. Most are on board ships passing through and Dhahran not far behind

Really the biggest USA airbase is in Doha called Al-Udeid Air Base.

Al-Udeid Air Base

It is the largest U.S. military base in the Middle East.

Loved all the comments about the bias coverage. Almost like the commentators were told just pretend its England, but I think more because they are just rubbish.

Now can Iran take any of those 2?

Well I think we're all invested in the tournament now. I knew we would be once football does the talking.

I'm not sure that is totally true- I watched England but didn't watch any of the other games which is very unusual for a tournament.

Some will be, some won’t.

It’ll take more than England turning over an underdog to get me watching but each to their own.
