This board only sack managers when the fans turn and they have no option but to sack them and dip into their pockets with a pay off. So unfortunately I can see him eventually having to endure the same treatment as Alex Neill and Glenn Roeder, before they act.  I for one desperately don't want to see that.

Yeah I see it this way too I think, same goes for the owners. Thing is while nobody wants to shoot Bamby, when you run over a deer the kindest thing to do for it is get the shovel out of the boot.

I want a lot of things but I realise most of them are unrealistic.

Its a fine balance between realistic hopes and wishful thinking.

Well, in the 1950s it was commonly thought by the locals that Norwich could not be anything more than Division Three. Then along came Geoffrey Watling who dragged the club up by the bootlaces and 16 years later they were in Division One. Then years later came Mr Chase who took the club to another new level - multiple European qualifications. So, dreams do not always end wishfully.

The problem with the Socialists is they just have a chronic inferiority complex - that all the other clubs are better and Norwich can't possibly compete. This mentality informs every move the club makes, including today's 7-0 loss.

He's our coach for the championship nailed on so that said if say come christmas we certs to go down he'll stay and if we in with a shout of staying up he'll stay

However he'll stay in my opinion while Webber staying or going is in the air. The minute Webber signs on to stay or confirms he will leave then Farke is on shaky peg.

It’s the self funding model that doesn’t work, The owners are content with relegation so nothing will change

God my first thought was Alex Neil when I read that, but then the premier league doesn't suit him either.

Surely not inferior to all other clubs as you say, worst case scenario is 19 clubs. We are ahead of so many more.

My Villa supporting mates all think he's out of his depth at this level anyway.

Judging by his play on Friday night there is a bit of truth in that.I would still have him back though

Does anyone believe he's under any real pressure right now? I don't.

Nope, the owners are happy with a yo-yo within two years after relegation, in perpetuity.

So the happy clappers are now known as "the 24%"

Really very damning, surely the first time in years the happy clappers have been in a significant minority.

Wynnie just considers himself lucky to be ahead of any other club, he doesn't really believe it or expect it. He went on record as saying that winning League 1 was a big deal. I just don't see how you can have a parson's son as a director of a top level football club.

The thing is, if he stays (regardless of going down and brings us back up again), he's already shown twice that it doesnt work in the EPL.

I feel bad saying it as I really like Farke obviously, but as others have said maybe his time is up.

I’m very much in the “Farke out of you want, I guess?” Camp

very ambivalent, not convinced anyone can get a tune out of these players and the issues are incredibly broad and wide ranging.

so change him if you want, go ahead. It’s like “wake me up when the team play like they actually care”

It's a difficult one. Not sure what the answer is. The team? The manager? The gulf in money and resources of top teams versus the rest? The ambition of the owners? I saw this cartoon today and it kind of captures where we are for me. I might change opinion at some stage soon. Still going to be supporting though.

Does pose the question, if Norwich were to go down this season, haven't we got the right man in place to take us back up?

I'd certainly not want to go down a 'short term solution' route in a desperate attempt to stay up, which I can't see happening. However perhaps another long term option like Eddie Howe would appeal.

Will the owners be happy with the club going down with no wins, a record low points total, record low goals scored and negative goal difference as well as a trashed reputation and a national joke? This is incompetence at a staggering level. If Carlsberg did relegations, this would be it......

Regrettably out but I can’t see our board replacing him with a better option.

In that case you'd be advised to switch your vote, before we end up with Brexit - Norwich edition 😀

Ok brand new, obviously not someone’s alternative account/ Ipswich troll poster, I’ll bite…. How do you see things getting any worse than they already are? I assume you can see where the next win is coming from as I certainly can’t on current evidence!

It was just a light hearted comment regarding your post, i.e you expecting the appointment following Farke to be worse.

However it is one I agree with, I don't see relegation being avoided this season and I think we probably have the right man in charge to take us up a third time. Whether a team on our budget can ever succeed with Farkeball in the premier league is doubtful, but it won't be next seasons problem.

On another thread I said I would take Howe, but thinking about it I may be underestimating just how much he had to spend whilst at Bournemouth.

I feel after today- it’s just a matter of when not if. Farkeball RIP- he lost his nerve, switched formations and a bad summer window did for him. No midfield that can play at this level. Game over

And then what? Would anyone have the stomach for a 3rd Farke attempt at this????? If Farke leads our Championship campaign next season, I'm not sure I'd want us going up.

Farke and Webber are not the problem. The financial resource at their disposal is.

Norwich City are the only club to bring 7-Up (or should that be 7-Down) to a billionaire's party.

Nail and head HC. When you have a manager who openly states he buys into what and how the owners are running the club, bringing on young talent to sell on, then it will go t**ts up at some time, because that young talent will no longer wish to sign for this club. There are better options out there for many of the championship and EPL agents.  Then what happens? Let’s face it, the owners certainly haven’t laced themselves in glory, have they, with Delia stating many years ago we had ‘the dream team’ in place. And we all know what happened there, and since the merry go round of choices the owners have made! Then they handed those reins to Webber, who is very very strangely quiet at this moment in time, probably keeping his head down for a reason, his own CV was looking very  good when his selection of ‘yes man’ Farke as manager paid off and two promotions from the championship followed! Webber, yet another who buys into the philosophy of our penniless owners. It doesn’t work at the highest level, I like thousands of other supporters can see that. But whilst Delia and her cohort remain as owners, with nephew Tom waiting in the background to carry on the legacy, NCFC will only be going one way, and that’s downhill fast.  Our supporters have laughed at the demise of Derby, Forest and our foes down the road, and many more, but alas, we are falling the same way!
