He was a big loss in the second half, fingers crossed it's weeks rather than months

Really hope it’s ok ? Surely they wouldn’t have made him do those drills at half time if they thought it were anything too serious ?

Little concerning, so was Kenny when he went down.  Wasn't there but it looked a pretty slippery pitch which didn't help.

Worried about this one to be honest. He's only played a few games for us, but it's already obvious he'd be a big, big loss.

Seen it happen a few times that somebody ruptures their ACL and doesn't realise they've actually done it and plays on for a while hoping they can run it off. Exactly what Rodri did for Man City against Arsenal. Actually went down injured in the first minute. Had treatment; carried on looking less than 100% then had to go off in the 21st minute and scan revealed ruptured ACL.

Really hope it's not something similar with Cordoba, but 'knee scan needed' is a worry. 🤞

Hopefully the scan is just a precaution but we generally don't have much luck on injuries.

Sargent, Barnes, Gibbs, Sorenson. Hernandez, Hanley all been knackered in the last 12 months and at least 5 of them are either still injured or not fully recovered.

It seemed like our players slipped over much more than the Leeds players.

Just to pick up on the Rodri incident, the first minute 'injury' wasn't anything to do with his knee.

I think the fact that Cordoba didn't only just hobble off the pitch, he actually did some drills, is positive news.  Hopefully it's just a slight twist and a couple of weeks out, which is fine with the upcoming international break.

Yeah - hopefully just a slight twist as you say.

The physio had him running and load bearing before he went in at half time. I can’t believe they would have made him do that if they thought it was ligament damage.

If they did , and it turns out to be serious then the physios want sacking .

Obviously we all hope it is a minor injury but a back four of Stacey, Duffy, Doyle and Fisher hardly fills me with any dread.

True. But bringing back Hanley into the defence certainly would!!

Losing Córdoba would definitely weaken us. He's been immense.

But I'm actually ok with a centre back pairing of Doyle and Duffy.

Once Chrisene returns after Hull, I think that back four is fine.

It's what happens if anyone else then picks up an injury that's a concern.

Stacey or Hanley? No thanks. Meanwhile, Hills and Warner are a bit of an unknown quantity for me.

Defensively, very suspect.

Any news on the lad?

Don't think so. JHT seems to prefer his presser on Friday lunchtime for a Saturday game.

I agree, but the problem is if the injury is long-term and then Doyle gets injured. Then it's either two youngsters in the centre or Duffy/Hanley or Duffy/Hanley with a youngster.

Other than the Leeds match Doyle is truly outstanding at this level so it's always going to be a dip in quality, having both him and Cordoba out is worst case, and a similar concern as if we lost Sainz and Sarge.  So it's applicable across the pitch.

Duffy and Hills isn't an awful combination though, and we've got to be committed to using young players when there's an opportunity.  Look at Fisher as an example of someone rising to the challenge, we should embrace it and back them, not fear it.

Exactly, give them a chance and back them, and accept there will be indifferent performances and not to berate them.

Fingers crossed he has trained.

Some shall we say less reputable sites listing him as out until early Nov due to his knee.  Same site only has gibbs out till end of this month when I thin it was 10 weeks more?

Tomorrow's presser will hopefully give us the clarity we want

If he's out longer term I'd love to see Hills get a chance. I think we look better balanced with Doyle and Fisher in the fullback positions and Hills is much more comfortable on the ball and mobile than Hanley.

He’s in the video of Sainz slapping an egg (I think) on Doyle’s head today as a birthday “surprise.”

He’s in his training gear and somewhat randomly playing chess with Nunez in the changing room but you can see his right knee and he’s not in any kind of protective gear.

All of which seems quite promising.

If there is any doubt over his fitness I wouldn't risk him, the back four that came out for the second half on Tuesday is more than good enough to deal with Hull.

Absolutely, although I'd be tempted to rest him. If he plays tomorrow then Panama might expect him to go and play for them during the break... we'd be better off giving him a couple of weeks to do some proper rehab and get fit and firing for after the international break.
