Cantwell Asks to Leave Rangers

There's a press conference with the Rangers manager on sky sports saying the same

Possibly going round the world, done England, done Scotland, now strong rumours that he is off to Wales

There are some players who don't quite have the mentality needed to really be a success in professional football. I'm not saying they're "weaker", or there's something wrong, but it requires a certain mentality to consistently turn up, train hard, be near the best of your abilities at all times.

And I'm slowly - as much as I don't like to say this about professional players who have far talent in their **** than I do in my body - suspecting from the snippets I see as a fan that Cantwell may be one of those not best suited to the grind.

Maybe Ryan Reynolds got him a role in Deadpool Vs wolverine to sweeten the deal..... Wait.....

Has this solved the who is cast as lady Deadpool debate!!!??? It's not Blake lively, Taylor swift or Bella Thorne.....  It's OUR TODD!!!!

I am proud of Todd, as a footballer he has some special talent and is a local lad.  As a professional club I would be wary of having him in the squad.  He is not a kid anymore, and as senior player the younger players will be influenced by him.  In some players do learn and improve with experience - I sort of hoped Ibrox would help toughen him up.  In fairness it might have done, externally that isn't how it looks.  He needs to careful or his career could free-fall very quickly

Clearly has somewhere planned, Wouldn't surprise me his agent has got him a nice little earner in Saudi if he's playing hardball like this.  Rangers CEO is already at one of the clubs, so most likely there.  They'd be quite happy with him promoting the league across social media too.

He's under contact at Rangers so a fee is required to get him. Ranger paid us £1.5m, we should offer maybe half that fee or trade him with either Fisher or Gibbs or both.

Even if he was available on a free transfer and was willing to play for no wages, the last thing we should do is bring back such a disruptive influence into the club.  To be an effective team the squad needs to be made up of team players.

Agree. Wouldn't be surprising to see him move to Saudi,,he has mentioned wanting a 'new adventure' and Saudi would certainly be that. He won't be coming back here, that's for certain.

That seems unlikely.....  Would either appeal to Rangers?

We wouldn't consider off loading either of them in the first place, both are seen as first team squad members this coming season.

Wrexham would suit, there is a enough drama around that club.

I don't know how he does this but needs to just concentrate on football otherwise his career will just peter out when he should be enjoying his prime playing years.

Why on God’s earth would we want to do that ???

Can see him going to the MLS... somehow I feel America would be perfect for him

Yep, I've always felt that he's well suited to that environment.

And with how his career has panned out so far, the relative anonymity from the general public and local media would do him good at this point.

Hmm, just seen this in my FB feed about a few within the Rangers ranks being unhappy with how the fan base is reacting as it may be the case that Cantwell is not the only one unhappy with things. It's definitely possible that my previous comment could have been harsh in hindsight if this is true.
