Welcome to Rays Funds, supported by Turner European Consulting and Cavell Healthcare.

Great response last week with 37 PUPs trying to help Parma and Twidio to a winning start. They were unlucky but we’ll soon be back to winning ways. Hopefully that will happen this weekend where we have @Duncan Edwards selecting the final six and @sonyc finalizing the Norwich picks.

Sorry for the short thread this week. Covid finally got me and part of that is a difficulty with screens.

Sorry to hear you've got the dreaded Covid, Nutty... wishing you a quick and stress-free recovery.

For my pick, I'll take the opening day of La Liga. Real Madrid won the league by 13 points last season, and they've added Rudiger and Tchouameni to their already impressive squad. As the reigning Spanish and European champions, odds of 2/5 on them winning away to newly promoted Almeria seem extremely good value.

For the Norwich match, Hull have signed some exciting players this close season so may pose more of a threat than many people expect. With our strength in depth, I like the idea of a comeback in the Double Result category, so Hull HT/Norwich FT. That's 25/1, which seems worth a speculative quid.

As I've tried to do something different in previous years, this year I am going to make my Final 6 selection from matches involving teams from foreign towns and cities that I have been to. As I am not particularly well travelled that means lots of games in France, Italy and Spain and I've had to include Wales and Scotland to make it to 40 teams 😂 (I went for the Norwich game last week and I will also be picking a Watford game as that is my home town).

This week I am going for a Home Win for PSG at home to Montpelier.
