****Official Lappitup Match Thread - Leeds v Norwich****

Recommended Posts

I’ve been a supporter of Wagner and like the man but this is shocking, absolutely shocking. I think we need to have a mutual parting of ways after this and start again

We ended top 6. That's ok for this team. The manager has done his job.

We have nothing to do in PL.

Sara been anonymous.  Can't remember him showing up for too many big games.

Happy to cash in and reinvest if suitable targets are around.

Starting Rowe after his performance on Sunday was just wrong.

I didn't expect us to win this game, but I did dare to hope we would keep it tight and make Leeds work for it. This is just embarrassing.

Yeah, this. Leeds have been great, to be fair. But we've just completely gone missing. Not sure anyone has risen to the occasion.

Someone on here the other day that people always say that the league is a weak one every year and there’s no evidence it’s a weak league.

The evidence is we are in the playoffs. If we are in the playoffs with this lot then the league is a joke.

Literally any club below us other than Rotherham would put in a better showing than this.

Our defence is being carved open with ease, Knapper has got a massive job to do this summer. Does he stick with Wagner, building a new defence, he’s going to have to sell Sargent/Sara/Rowe, somehow get rid of Duffy/Barnes.

The defence hasn’t been consistently good enough all season - well, for several seasons tbh - and needs a lot of work imo.  Hopefully Hills, Tompkinson, Warner et al will stake their claim for a starting berth.

I doubt any of our players have earnt any praise after that performance. Sara is most likely our best player, no doubt he will go, wishing him out of the door isn't the answer.

I feel for Angus, because he's been excellent this season and a big reason why we're here.

But he's had an absolute nightmare in the biggest game of the season.

Can’t wait for the post match Kenny McLean interview where he’s all stroppy and tells us the lads have all got the big boo hoos

If Wagner doesn't make two subs at half-time I want him gone.

And that's the first time I've called for his sacking.

And one of them has got to be Rowe, who has been absolutely dreadful.

Agree

Let’s be honest. Sargent got this team into the play offs. Not Wagner. Wagner is tactically substandard. I’d happily go pick him up on my back from Leeds now and carry him back to Carrow Road to pick up his P45.

You don't need hope. We will need the money. He's already gone.

Got to say, and not just based on tonight, if it meant keeping other key players then we’d be better selling him

He really hasn’t been that great though. He makes regular saves, and fans go over board and describe his as world class. You look at a lot of goals we concede, and so often you could say Gunn should’ve done better. He wilts under big game pressure, too.

Does he stick with Wagner[...?]

I think that's the one silver lining from this sad capitulation. There's no way Wagner can stay on after this. First and foremost we need a coach who can set the team up in a coherent structure. Then we can think about the players we have to sell...

And yet Sargent missed a golden opportunity to get us back in the game.
