RIP Gianluca Vialli

Recommended Posts

Just been announced he's passed away, aged only 57 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

I wasn't aware he was ill, far too young as well.  Sad news.

Always came across as a decent man, and was a very good striker. Sad to hear he's passed.

Very sad news, RIP Gianluca. I’m sure I saw him on the Italian bench not that long ago, Nations league games?

Having lost a good friend from Pancreatic cancer a couple of years back, at only 56, I know what his family are going through. Given the disease it will be a blessing his struggle is over, this disease is on a par with MND in book. Let's hope the scientists find something sooner or later that can help patients manage it better, if not the cure. RIP Gianni.

Loved Gianluca Vialli. Loved watching Sampdoria. Unconventional footballer and a lovely man. I saw a while ago he was battling it and was given the all clear and then it was announced he was back in the Royal Marsden.

Still lived in England of course.

Sad days when one of my childhood idols start to pass away in Pele, but to see a fantastic player who always played with a smile goes it’s a shock to think he’s in my age bracket……RIP Vialli top player fondly remembered.

Indeed it is! And 99.9% of Norwich fans will willingly associate themselves with the sadness being expressed at the death of an excellent footballer at an appallingly young age. I'm not convinced you're a member of that 0.1%.

It’s your attention seeking virtue signalling that is particularly irritating

Why would I want to have anything to do with you? you are the opposite of what I think a decent human should act like, in fact you have just been hit with the ignore hammer

Was part of the coaching staff when they won the Euros. 👍🏻

Not sure if he was there after that.

Yeah, heard on the radio he withdrew from the national side at the end of 2021.
