nutty nigel 7,535 Posted September 16, 2015 Welcome one and all to week seven of our Rays funds season. Another near miss with Jellytot’s final six last weekend. That’s two weeks on the trot now that we have had five wins and one draw. We are due a change in fortunes and let’s hope it’s this weekend where we have Bor Bor Bor in charge and making the final six selections. Bor had our biggest ever win during an earlier life and last season managed a to get us a win on the NCFC bet. Bor had a terrific season last year because as well as that win in the Norwich game he had 26/35 (74%) correct suggestions for the final six and was in profit at the end by £3.02. He’s also one of my favourite posters and responsible for much of the humour that helps make this message board such a great place. Bor will need all our help so let’s give him our very best selections from the games played on Sat/Sun/Mon of this weekend listed on the William Hill or Bet365 web site. After Molly’s great win last weekend in the match bet we have 93vintage making the final selections for our match against Liverpool on Sunday. 93vintage joined us at the start of the season and has shown a great interest in our threads. As with Molly Windley last week thanks to our anonymous benefactor the newer PUPs have the chance to play a more active part much earlier than was possible before. 93vintage, you can make up to ten final selections from PUPs suggestions and your own for our match against Bournemouth. We have a tenner to spend and it’s up to you how you divide it up. If you’re not sure just ask on here. I’ve sorted the rotas for October so please confirm or not with your selections. As always if the date is not suitable there is scope to change. Final six matches : - Oct 3rd - Swindoncanary Oct 10th - CD Mullins Oct 17th - Vindo Oct 24th - AJ Oct 31st - Feedthewolf Norwich match : - Oct 3rd - Swindoncanary Oct 10th - Internationals Oct 17th - Van Wink Oct 24th - Norfolkbroadslim Oct 31st - Hammond Just want to say a huge thank you for your support at the meeting and presentation after the Bournemouth game. Our great team put on a great performance and got a great result meaning all us PUPs were in jubilant mood. A special personal and heartfelt thank you to Leeds Canary for providing the trophies. Kev, you’re an absolute diamond buddy. We all love ya! Oh, one more thing! The pinned notice explaining how we work is temporarily missing while I rewrite it and update the totals etc. If anyone can think of anything I could add please say so. I’ll hand the thread over to Bor Bor Bor and 93vintage now. Remember there’s no pressure because we are all going to be doing our best to help you to success. We all stand together with the single aim of raising money for the Community Sports Foundation. Good luck all you PUPs... take it away Bor and 93vintage... the thread is yours.......[:)]........... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As always I leave you with Ray’s signature which now reads :- Carve their names with pride.Yankee,5,Fellas,3,P''boro,2,Mr Chops,2,NewYork,2, Inch High,4, Blahblahblah, NCFC_Shaun, 1st Wazzock,3, Fonejacker,3, Norfolkbroadslim,3, Norfolkchance1,2, Scooby,3, Trent Canary,3, Cosmic Twin,3, Graham Humphrey, Leedscanary,3, NcfcStar, Herman, Delia’s Devonshire Dirtbox,2, Lappinitup, Statto, Mandie Moo,2, Mr Bump, Kathy,2, Til1010, Snake-eyes, Vindo,2, NWC, Hughesy, Gregt, GMF,2, SwindonCanary, Twidio, Hector Brockelbank, Lake District Canary, yes Norfolkchance1 £2038 for the Academy, and £1064 for the Community Sports Foundation. Duncan Edwards 2,236 Posted September 16, 2015 This week I''m going for Excelsior vs AJAX - Away win.Not risk free but at 1/2 it doesn''t look bad value as Ajax are averaging nearly 3 goals a game so far this season. For the Norwich bet - I''d suggest a Liverpool/Draw HTFT bet at 16/1.Good Luck Bor, 93 and everyone else. Parma Ham's gone mouldy 2,220 Posted September 16, 2015 Hard to see past Real and Barca for bankers, though have tried to look for a more interesting option, so let''s salute the efficient, logical decency of the Swedes: Swedish Div 1 NorraCarlstad United vs Dalkurd - away win 1/3Good luck Bor.Parma
Parma Ham's gone mouldy 2,220 Posted September 16, 2015 As for the Norwich bet, we can speculate how Alex Neil might approach the game.Norwich have a hard-earned feel old factor and Neil will surely look to preserve it. To this effect I think betting on the nil nil is not a bad bet at reasonable odds.We may see Brady ahead of Olsson, with Jarvis switched flanks and Hoolahan left to create some magic.Bassong and Martin looked complimentary, organised and composed against Bournemouth (and furious with Jerome for leaving his man and spoiling their clean sheet).I predict a valiant rearguard and a first Norwich clean sheet in unlikely circumstances.Good luck 93vintage.Parma
PurpleCanary 5,562 Posted September 16, 2015 For the NCFC bet I like the look of Mbokani to come off the bench and score the last goal, at attractive odds of 10/1.
Hammond1612 92 Posted September 16, 2015 Hi everyone, my pick this week is Wolfsburg to beat Hertha Berlin. With Wolfsburg being unbeaten so far it seems like a decent shout. The Norwich match I''ll go for a score draw. Nutty October 31st is great for me so can''t wait to add to the pot!
ca 1 Posted September 16, 2015 After my disaster last week Im moving from the Championship to League 2 game and going for Plymouth to beat Bristol Rovers. For the Norwich bet Im thinking it will be a close game, maybe go for 0-0 at halftime and Jerome to score anytimeGood luck to BBB and Vintage 93, hope you do well. SwindonCanary 455 Posted September 17, 2015 Firstly I''d like to confirm that I will be able to do 3rd October This weeks pick is REAL MADRID home win against Granada And Norwich to draw 1-1 (once again, can''t keep a clean sheet !)
The Great Drinkell 50 Posted September 17, 2015 Off to the championship for me this week with my risk and reward strategy although they slipped up mid week I think Cardiff will be to strong for a struggling Rotherham side. and at 7/5 looks a good value bet if your looking to boost the fund.Cardiff V Rotherham Home win.As for the Anfield clash It''s always difficult to bet against your own team so I''m going to find a goal scorer and I think Jarvis can really start to become a fans favourite and score again as I think we will play a counter attacking game.Good luck to the pickers and good luck to the boys on Sunday. AJ 1,221 Posted September 17, 2015 Celtic back to winning ways for me against Dundee. Home Win.For the Liverpool H/T, Draw F/T could be worth a shout, or to even it up stick a quid on the opposite result of Norwich H/T, Draw F/T

Hoola Han Solo 448 Posted September 17, 2015 Whittaker to score anytime is my Norwich bet.Walsall to beat Crewe at home (2nd vs bottom) in League One is my match bet.Good luck.
Mr Angry 1,561 Posted September 17, 2015 My pick is from the Argentinian Primera Division, where Banfield host Crucero del Norte. Banfield are 7th, Crucero are 30th-which is bottom. They''ve lost all 12 of their away matches, so a home win for me at 4/9.For the NCFC bet, I think Liverpool will win 2-1 😞Good luck all PUPs, especially Bor and 93vintage. snake-eyes 13 Posted September 17, 2015 I''m going for Shrewsbury to beat Crewe!I was hoping to see odds for a City win and Rogers to be sacked, however maybe City 2-1 with Hoolahan to score anytime might bring in the reddies!Snake
Molly Windley 76 Posted September 17, 2015 Trip to Norway for me and Division 2 Group 2Fram vs Jeloy home win at 2/5Tough one to call for the City game but a bore draw 0-0 is decent odds at 10/1Good luck to Bor and Vintage

nutty nigel 7,535 Posted September 17, 2015 Sunday in Sweden for me. With seven games to go IFK Goteborg are top and their home record is W8 D3 L1 F23 A3. Hammarby are 11th with an away record of W1 D6 L5 F12 A21. Not the worst away record in the world as they''ve managed to draw half of them but I think Goteburg will be too good for them and 11/20 looks a decent price. IFK Goteborg v Hammarby Home Win Jonny Howson sometimes pops up with a goal for our travelling fans. Bet365 go 22/1 for him to be first goal scorer or 17/2 for the safer option of an anytime goal. Feedthewolf 4,846 Posted September 17, 2015 Buoyed by Monaco''s success last week, I''m sticking with the value picks for now. Despite their recent travails, I believe Man Utd will have enough in the tank to win at Southampton. By no means a banker, but odds of 11/8 for a United victory are not to be sniffed at when you consider the quality available to them. For the match bet, I think 5/1 is generous for an away win – survive the first 20 minutes and/or nick an early goal, and the pressure could well get to the Reds. Alternatively, Liverpool not to score at 9/2 might be worthy of consideration.
DDD In The Fine City 1 Posted September 17, 2015 This week I''m heading to the national league north Solihull moors v Curzon ashton- home win Run away league leaders +15 goals against 19th place -3 goalsFor the norwich bet a 3-1 defeatGood luck one and all Also Wes hooly fan Walsall are away at Peterborough not home to Crewe, I guess you mean Shrewsbury it''s only about 30 miles away but you might want to confirm for Eddie
