***Official Lappinitup Match Thread - Liverpool v Norwich***

It’s a combination of woeful recruitment and coaching that has seen us go backwards. Both need addressing in the summer - great goal from Borja!

The players we have wouild all be better if they were properly coached.  Sainz not yet has been coached out, give him time.

I’m not blaming him for everything. The war in the Middle East for example certainly not his fault.

The way we set up and play though absolutely is his fault. At what point is continually ignoring the same type of individual errors caused by the way we play not the managers fault? If it’s one individual error here and there it’s different. It’s every single game though we concede goals in the exact same way and it’s blamed on individual errors rather than a systemic problem with the way we try to play with the players at our disposal.  Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. The individual errors come from the way we play and are coached not because we don’t have good players.

We're playing one of the best teams in the world. We've lost two in 13 prior to this.

Saint is miles ahead of Hernandez and Faasnacht, yet starts on the bench.

Wagnerball.

All the best.

Big Keith Scott.

Sainz > Hernandez. Onel would be amazing if he could reliably do something with his last touch; without any end product the other touches are irrelevant. Sainz doesn't have anything like that physical presence (pace/power) but can find a teammate or the goal. If only we could merge them.

Sainz is basically Scrappy-Doo.

Which I quite like.

The difference between our young players and older ones is unbelievable.

If these two sides played each other how do you think it'd go

25+ team

Gunn
Stacey - Hanley - Duffy - Gibson - Dimi
Fassnacht - Sorensen - McLean - Onel
Barnes

vs

under 25 team

Reyes
Fisher - Warner - Hills - McCallum
Rowe - Nunez - Sara - Sainz
Sargent - Idah

The younger side defence + keeper is perhaps a bit suspect but I'm not sure I'd bet on the oldies to even trouble them that much.

To be fair we haven’t played badly but we've really gifted Liverpool at least 3 goals.

It's been a problem all season and it has to be rectified.

Sara far better around 8 than up at 10

Agreed. He's a number 8 all day long. He just needs to add tackling to his game and he'll be a top player. At the minute a lot of PL teams will be sceptical because of this IMO.

An interesting post. Old Boys at the back, young uns up front for the starting XI!
