nutty nigel 7,870 Posted January 10 (edited) Welcome to Rays Funds, supported by Turner European Consulting and Cavell Healthcare We have another of our top PUPs in the six results hot-seat this week with @Diesel Doris making the final selections. Trish, who never misses a week, has won with the final six on three previous occasions so we’re in safe hands again this weekend. So let’s help her to a fourth win with our very best selections from the games played on Saturday, Sunday and Monday of this weekend that are listed on the Bet 365 web site. You’ve got me picking the final selections for our game at Hull on Friday evening. So please help me with some great options from those listed on Bet 365 or Bill Hill web sites. Last week’s winning six was our ninth of the season from which we’ve added £460.04. Also the Norwich picks have added £295.18. This goes to show what a great team of PUPs we have again this season. Yesterday we received a £15 new year bonus to add to the pot so here are the updated totals... Good luck all you PUPs. We all stand together with the single aim of raising money for the Community Sports Foundation and our fabulous Downs Syndrome and pan-disability boys and girls. Take it away Trish and me, the thread is ours... ... On behalf of us all a massive thank-you to our wonderful sponsors Turner European Consulting and Cavell Healthcare also our benefactor PUPanon2. Leedscanary 389 Posted January 11 Good luck Pups Doris - NAPOLI v Salernitana - HOME WIN in Serie A Nutty - the "assisted by" odds on Bill Hill look interesting. Sargent to score assisted by Barnes is 40/1 or vice versa 35/1 - I'd be happy with either scenario. Thinking of our lovely old boy Arrdee this weekend, without whom none of this would be possible. Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man 4,529 Posted January 11 Surely Ghana should have far too much for Cape Verde? 3/4 looks a huge price. Not feeling terribly for our game, so Sara to be booked at 5/1 seems good value.

Mr Angry 1,913 Posted January 12 For the Final Six, even though Napoli are making a complete hash of the defence of their Serie A title they should still beat bottom club Salernitana at home-Home Win at 1/3. Feedthewolf 5,756 Posted January 12 Oops, a little late to the party this week! In League One, second top plays second bottom: Bolton to win at home to Cheltenham, please, at around 2/5. As for the Norwich match, Bill Hill are boosting a triple of Connolly to score, Hull to win and BTTS from 11/2 to 13/2... seems decent value to me. Good luck everyone! Leedscanary 389 Posted January 12 Hey everyone, As @nutty nigel alluded to last week and I mentioned in my post earlier, today marks 15 years since the passing of our dear friend "Arrdee" Ray Ducker - the lovely old boy. It was Ray who had the lightbulb moment of setting up "The Free Bet" thread. For a trip down memory lane - the first Free Bet can be viewed here https://forum.pinkun.com/index.php?/topic/22178-free-bet-for-pink-un-posters/&tab=comments#comment-190585 You will notice a few familiar names on there from all those years ago - and sadly many who are no longer with us, either picking wise or dearly departed. The Free Bet was originally negotiated with Billy Dixon of Dixmar Racing, Reepham Road who gave Arrdee £10 free to place bets with any proceeds going to charity. This was initially The Norwich City Youth Academy. As time went on, we went from The Academy, to FONCY, then the CSF and during the past 17 years have raised £30,000 for these organisations. Regular Pups presentation nights and days have happened with Eddie kindly hosting many at the Bayer Club - Pups were present along with Billy Dixon and various Football Club members over the years. These presentations have continued with Eddie forging a great relationship with the CSF and the DS team. Sadly, Billy Dixon disappeared a few seasons after Ray passed - since then the thread has relied on the donations of Pups to carry on. All under the stewardship of Eddie @nutty nigel without whom this fundraiser would have ended years ago. Thank you Eddie for your efforts in carrying this on in Ray's memory. For those who didn't know Arrdee, he had a wonderful way with words on this forum - some of his stories live on forever in the tribute archive https://forum.pinkun.com/index.php?/forum/19-remembering-arrdee/ Apologies for the history lesson - indeed, a potted history, I'm sure Eddie could articulate it better. But today of all days, I felt it needed saying. Leedscanary 4
