Well after last week’s stinging criticism of the way we played against Soton there’s no excuse not to go hell for leather against a very average League One outfit. If Wagner cares about getting fans at least partly onside he’ll want his team to score a few goals today.
Sheva 125 Posted January 6 Always had a soft spot for the ‘Gas’, having lived in the Rovers side of the city. My God Father ( Barrie Meyer) taught me the words to ‘ Goodnight Irene’ at an early age. He was a name himself, having scored against  the ‘Busy Babes’ when Rovers knocked them out of the FA Cup 4.0

Worthy Nigelton 1,092 Posted January 6 I'm okay with that. Pleased to see Kenny not in the squad and not because he needs a rest, but because he's not very good. 2 2

Jim Smith 2,365 Posted January 6 The old 4-4-2 crap formation again then. Disappointed not to see a few more yoof on the bench

Obviously good for him too to put the injury behind him. Like seeing Gibbs back in too. Edit: meant to add I hope this afternoon is not a banana skin...but really we've managed that in quite a few games already this season, when we ought to have achieved better results against lesser teams. Capt. Pants 4,329 Posted January 6 Would have preferred to see Gibbs along with Sara or Nunez as that's a pairing that perhaps could be used in a league game at some point. It's an OK line-up apart from that.
Jim Smith 2,365 Posted January 6 It is good to see Gibbs get a run out in his proper position
norfolkngood 1,097 Posted January 6  Sarge might need minutes to get match fit so would have dropped Barnes for Idah give Adam a bit of a confidence boost
Grumpy 124 Posted January 6 Not particularly inspiring but it seems that these days most clubs tend to give starts to players on the peripheral of the team. Surprised that Reyes is not there, cant say I have even heard of Ansen

Robert N. LiM 4,664 Posted January 6 I think that's a decent line up for a third-round Cup tie. Weak midfield and no real options on the bench* but I think we're all happy to see Sara rested, right? *I know Lungi is there but he surely can't have more than 30 minutes in him. Robert N. LiM 4,664 Posted January 6 Going to say it again. We're not going down. We're almost certainly not going to be in the top six. Perfect year for a Cup run. Hope to see a hungry performance today, a City win and a nice draw in the fourth round. OTBC
