SwearyCanary 1,367 Posted March 19, 2022 As our season winds down amid the bilge of our consistently abject performances, to get us through the inevitable losses to come and damp squib of a run in, I propose that we name a forumite and say something we like about their contribution this season. I’ll go first. Lakey has provided positivity where there ultimately has been little to be had. If this has been interpreted as optimism, sarcasm or just a sign that the water of Cumbria has something wrong in it, it has nonetheless brought a smile and reduced the blazing fury of my ire to a mere uncomfortable smoulder. We may never agree on some things but I’d not change a thing about you. Cheers Lakey - OTBC Sweary
nutty nigel 7,963 Posted March 19, 2022 Good thread. Certain posters for me... If not DCB who religiously sticks to his agenda come what may.
cambridgeshire canary 7,932 Posted March 19, 2022 Lakey is our unending well of hope and optimism and I too thank him for it. .. Unless he starts getting pessimistic then we all must start to worry 1

Disco Dales Jockstrap 1,960 Posted March 19, 2022 Excellent thread! There are many I could mention, but I'll go for King Canary. I always enjoy his contributions; he plays the ball not the man and comes across as genuine and thoughtful. OTBC

lake district canary 4,878 Posted March 19, 2022 Wow. Cheers Sweary, much appreciated. In the same spirit I'll nominate @wcorkcanary , don't always agree with him, but I think he's had a rough time, yet always keeps his sense of humour, which is good to see. Plenty of others to mention too, but from me a virtual group hug to all Norwich fans, especially those that have gone along to matches every week, despite the way the season has gone.
Midlands Yellow 4,714 Posted March 19, 2022 Can you nominate yourself?

Cheers Lakeyo, a few months ago I was letting things outside of this board get to me and I was less than pleasant a few times, some may have deserved it , but some certainly didnt. Without reading through months of posts I'd just like to apologise to anyone that I was particularly unpleasant to during that period . What I hadn't realised at the time was that reading and posting on here was relief from what was going on at the time and thanks to modern technology , I had a 24/7 distraction . ...it didn't always work as the acerbic nature of a few of my posts will testify. It was actually you @lake district canary that pointed out to me that I was being unpleasant and should 'cop on'. You were right. So , Forum Group Hug with Lakeyo in the middle as so much of the stick he gets is unfair, often funny, but nevertheless unfair.

Herman 11,178 Posted March 20, 2022 @cambridgeshire canary for saving me from having to look at other NCFC sites. The man's a news-hound. The good version of James Kent.👏😀 3

Mate, if people get offended because anyone on here takes a swipe or disagrees with them they shouldn't be posting. I know there are those who think I'm probably a bit of a ** in real life (they're probably right 😁), water off a ducks back. As for Lakey, he loves it that's why he keeps coming back but the forum would be worse for him not being here.

TheGunnShow 7,470 Posted March 20, 2022 If I had to pick a poster whose name I see as the last poster in a thread and think "this will be worth reading" - not to mention the excellent job he does with his work on starting match threads, then it's chicken. The Real Buh 3,802 Posted March 20, 2022 I’d like to nominate all the guys who have literally signed up to a Norwich city forum to talk about politics all day over on the off topic board. Never seen any of them have 1 opinion about anything that’s going on at the club. I find the off topic board a fascinating, ongoing science experiment and I’d highly recommend a trip over there to see the ongoing rage.

It was such a scolding episode that my balls regressed into my body and hid themselves behind my kidneys - it took a couple of days of cajoling with a copy of Razzle before they would come back down again. Never. Ever. Again. OTBC

HazzaJet 275 Posted March 20, 2022 (edited) I'd like to nominate the likes of Badger and Hoggy, who like me seem to defend Delia and the self-funding model. I know it's very stressful following us in the top flight, I find it very hard to do so, but recently there were some on here saying they never want to see us promoted under Delia again - did you really enjoy the Grant-Roeder-Gunn era? I enjoyed our League One season far more than that Edited March 20, 2022 by HazzaJet
Son Ova Gunn 165 Posted March 20, 2022 My forum hug goes out to the boy @Big Vince firstly because he clearly needs it and secondly because he makes me feel my own views on things are more seated in the middle ground. Worthy runner up fist bumps for @Badger and @hogesar who consistently offer well reasoned arguments opposing my own, that make me think and without the need to lower the tone to insults.
