Lampard to be announced this week!

Recommended Posts

My sources tell me that Webber is meeting Lampard tomorrow.

He is our new man. Let’s get behind him from the get go!

He will

give the club a bit of stardust and has a wealth of football knowledge to call upon. Young, hungry with a point to prove (a bit like our team!)

It was Frank Lampard since the moment he landed at Dunston Hall.

It is an interesting one, the people we typically think of as 'happy clappers' sound furious about this, and are either going to need to flip 180 degrees and become the nay sayers, or have to find a way to complete a u-turn while minimising their humiliation.

I think Lampard is a good shout.

I agree with the happy clappers being moaners and the moaners being happy clappers 😂

I also think (or rather hope … because nobody knows how any manager will do!!) Lampard is a good fit. Younger, hungry with a point to prove… plus great contacts around the football world that we don’t have at the moment and Farke hasn’t got.

Can't lie, last odds I see of 8/15 are pointing at this to be possible, they must've slashed again today.

I just can't see it myself, still think it's going to be a curveball.

I'd love to see him come through those doors and pump a fist to the Barclay though, would be like Patrick Swayze holding us in his powerful arms as we grace the sky all bird-like.  Look at me, watch me fly!

Frank: "No-one puts baby in the corner".

Us: "Thanks Frank, let's go get survival"

Frank: "You bet, kiddo!"

Remember, Don't do drugs kids!

I don't personally understand the dislike for Lampard. I get that some people may question how much he has acheived in his two jobs so far (although I think you could argue he performed reasonably well in both) but some people seem to hate him. He always seemed to me to be one of the least dislikeable opposition/English players, clearly is quite intelligent and I think could inspire some of our younger players. He might not be my number 1 choice but I certainly think we could do a lot worse.

Lampard isn’t here and nor is Stuart! But they are meeting up… with Stuart en route.

Meeting mid way in a Travel Tavern equidistant between Norwich and London…

Over the last few days, I’ve gone from gutted about Farke, to understanding the need to move on, to not terribly impressed with the idea of Lampard or the Norwegian dude, to Lampard actually being quite a good fit for our needs not only as a manager, but as a football club.
I’d rather him than any other names mentioned thus far.
I’ve read this board for years, and I still love it when someone confirms a tip-off…..brilliant stuff if correct!
PS my source recommendation….Leon Thomago Ketchup with poached eggs on toast……no one will be disappointed!!

The Lampard Walk....
A Lampard that you've never seen,
The guy ain't blue, he's yellow and green.
He hasn't got the Tuchel touch,
But well that don't matter very much.

We'll play the Lampard way,
Not like you but with a constant foray
And when we have an unbeaten run
Oh, Boy.

Anytime playing Lampard's way
Any evening, any day,
You'll find us all doin' the Lampard walk. Oi!

Every Norwich City fan,
Will go along with Lampard's plan.
You'll find us all doin' the Lampard walk. Oi!

Winning free and easy,
We score when we darn well pleasey,
Why don't you make your way there,
Sing there, cheer there.

Once you get down Carrow Road Way,
Any evening, any day,
You'll find yourself doin' the Lampard  walk. Oi!

Anytime you're Carrow Road way
Any evening, any day,
You'll find us all doin' the Lampard walk. Oi!

Every Norwich City fan.
Will go along with Lampard's  plan,
You'll find us all doin' the Lampard walk. Oi!

I seem to remember Yellow Belly coming up with ITK stuff in the past so will give him or her the benefit of the doubt.

Lampard is some peoples first choice, and not an option at all for others, but I have no doubt we’ll all get behind him if it indeed happens. I’m hopeful we’ll unearth someone more tactically astute, but it’s out of our hands so we’ll just have to see how he does if he gets the hot seat.

Lampard appears to be the favorite, but I have some reservation about him.  Personally, I like the Bodo manager.  For sure, I'm no expert.
