I stand corrected Nutty but i thought you keep telling me Peter The Pointer hardly ever won a game so i obviously thought it was The Messiah. Maybe he was the first Scottish Messiah ?  😂

Technically you were right because he was your messiah😉

Before that game I can remember going there when my messiah was in charge and Robert Green needed to sit down inside his goal. Unfortunately he took the ball in there with him...

U23 now 1-1

Subs: Byram for Aarons, Heise for Lewis, Srbeny for Stiepermann.

Surprised that we're seeing Srbeny. Hope I'm wrong but I don't see him worrying Premier League defences

1985  the last time I went, we lost 3-1 and it was my birthday that’s why I remember it so well.......historically we’re not good at Luton are we?

Its a ****ehole!

Similar era for me too. I remember a 2-2 all draw. Me and my brother got a thumbs up from Chris Woods.

And yes, it was a ****hole.😀

You want to give the whole squad chances in pre-season. With Drmic scoring a hat-trick today and Pukki being Pukki, I can't imagine he'll get a huge amount of game time. Farke does seem to be preferring him in the 10 role to replace Stiepermann though... and this time last year, who'd have thought that Stiepermann would be an instrumental piece of our attack?

I got a complimentary ticket there from one of the players during the away fans ban. All the players gave up their comps to regular away fans. It was a **** day in one of the most horrible grounds I've ever had the misfortune to visit. Also went to see our youth team in the FA Youth Cup in the Clayton /Rigby/ Goss era and that wasn't a pleasant experience either. I won't be going back.

Re Hanley, ten minutes for Godfrey just to keep him ticking over and continue to build teamwork?

At least he's branching out into perving over men now. It is Pride weekend after all... good to see him broadening his horizons. Bravo!

Posted (edited)

Am I wrong in stating that Sky Sports News have shown the goals from every friendly match today involving teams from the Premier League?.............

.....except for one.......

Any ideas as to why?

Oops!

Right on cue....SSN finally find the tape...

Roberts has been the star of pre-season, excited to see how he does when it all kicks off.

Drmic seems like he'll be a real find if he can stay fit.

We still need to sort out the issue with goals from set pieces.

Under Lambert we won an evening game there 3-2 with Lappin scoring a cracking free kick at the other end to win the game.

I remember that game! Was on the verge of leaving early to get the last train back to Reading when we won the free kick.

Celebrated like a madman whilst doing my best Linford Christie impression towards Luton Station!

You clearly didn’t see him play today

Yeah but you've already decided on him so how he plays is now irrelevant.
