Clubs a shambles, can't even get the correct badge on our own corner flags these days! 🤷

I did try to find an image with the new crest on the corner flag, but no dice... 😉

Yes just look at how successful Bristol city have been over the last 5 years compared to us! They’ve clearly been ahead in all departments as demonstrated by their results and league positions!

This isn’t to do with Bristol City specifically it’s about other teams ability to make decisions.

We are crippled in our leadership team. Nothing can or will be done with the absolute failures at the top of the club.

Wagner has been in charge for well under a year. Dean Smith, who was worse, lasted just over a year. Should we embark on a continuous race to emulate Watford and replace the manager every few months.

As to your point about other teams ability to make decisions, I suggest you look at the Bristol City forum. Their fans are furious about the sacking and very angry at the owner. It’s a decision that most clearly did not want.

With the ownership and leadership team we have it doesn’t matter who we appoint as football manager.

Maybe getting the right coach would help the situation. Not one who has just been sacked. Lambert, Neil, Farke all came from potential success not defeat.

Ainsworth and now Pearson.. Seems all the club are happy to sack but us!

Maybe we've just been waiting to see if either Gareth or Nigel became available. Might see some swift action now with no compo to pay to get either in. 🤔

Even for you calling 2 clubs in a24 team league all of them is stretching it. Especially as at one of the clubs the fans are unhappy with the sacking!

It isn’t about the time they’ve had it’s what they’ve done with it.

They ought to be! They have been bankrolled by Steve Lansdown one of the founders of Hargreaves Lansdown. He is a billionaire who has paid for the major renovations to Ashton Gate and has put substantial amounts into the playing budget.

Lansdown loves his rugby. Pearson identified what a mess they were in when he arrived at Bristol City and reorganised the club top to bottom. More of a manager than a coach. I am surprised by the decision but they are an entitled club.

Whilst in my opinion it's probably the wrong decision, there seems to be a common consensus that not sacking Wagner = not making a decision. That's not true, it's still a decision. If anything, it's the "braver" one because sacking him is the easy approach in terms of keeping fans happy. I might not agree with it, but it's still a decision.

Definitely Brave not to sack Wagner - Especially if it all goes wrong on Sunday

And, plenty of Bristol City supporters here in Somerset. Yet to meet one that is happy with Nigel Pearson's sacking.

There is one simple reason why we won’t sack Wagner - we can’t afford to.

He is on a rolling 12 month contract so we can’t pay his settlement in one chunk.

Absolute rubbish just like it was when everyone said the same thing about Smith, and Farke, and Neil. It's always been a select few decide we can't afford it when we demonstrably can.

Which runs out in January. Sometimes you cannot afford not to sack a coach.

It’s a rolling contract - it’s always a 12 month pay off, regardless of when he is sacked.

As I see it, Webber has to redefine what he expects from Wagner if we want to see a change.

People need to remember that the head coach is operating to an agreed model with the players available, he's not a manager but rather it's a job role.  Therefore, if Webber (Or whoever is making decisions) was to change that model it's then up to Wagner to decide if he's willing to implement it.

If he's not willing to implement it, then his employment at this club comes down to the legalities and contract obligations on whether he can walk and get compensated, or has to be dismissed.

I don't see anyone at this club willing the head coach to deviate from the agreed plan for short-term results, and at that point how can you justify sacking the guy who's starved of the right players?

The only way he goes is with fan fall-out and his job becomes untenable, and although most people are of the 'anything is better than this' mentality, they need to really think things through on a longer term basis.

The reactive part of me wants him gone as finding the current period hard to take and just want some relief, but i'm also understanding if we want to dig in and wait for players to return.  Ripping up the pages again, could send us further backwards and drop players moral furhter.
