He is waiting to start about 3 threads when Farke is appointed at Leeds so no time for stuff like this.

Just curious but how does it feel making the exact same joke about me about ten times a day?

I'm just glad there's no big teams that got relegated from prem to champs last season. :classic_blink:

I wouldn't say that, many of the players in the three teams are quite big, not all Gilmour/Sara size. Or did you mean big clubs ?

All the more reason to get an extra striker on-board.

That's getting on for two teams paraded by clubs on match days. Seems excessive.

Nearly two different teams for two halves.

Someone will be the first to do it...

*only 5 allowed, shoulda read it first.

The question now is will Wagner still leave Christos Tzolis out of the matchday squad?

It will happen sooner or later. 1 sub  to 2 subs......to 3 subs......to 5 subs....

9 on the bench is precursor to allowing 6 + changes.

I think the logic is there's more chance of youth players getting match time because by having 9 players available on the bench you can have more options. If a team is comfortably winning you could throw on a few youth players. It's a long ol' season

I can see where you're coming from but I'm a lot more cynical.

Having 9 subs available benefits the teams at the top the most, and this is reformatting the next few leagues so it isn't questioned. The talent will pool wherever the money is, even worse than it currently does

I genuinely now get all of my up-to-date Norwich news and gossip off of this forum because of @cambridgeshire canary and I don’t go anywhere else. Also means I get to comment on other threads at the same time. He’s a godsend and I don’t have to trawl Newsnow. So fair play to the lad.

Of course that is already allowed with the concussion substitutes

Can't wait for all the time wasting subs as soon as any team is in the lead during extra time

But they aren't allowed any more substitution windows, that's still the same, so it won't change.

The article quotes;

Clubs will still only be permitted to make five changes during a match, but are now able to have more options on the bench after clubs in the second tier voted for the increase.

Plus you only get 'extra time' in cup games, otherwise it's injury / stoppage time.

So is it still 5 subs bit only at 3 different times?

With an 6th allowed in cup game extra time but only if you've already made the 5 in normal time? Or did I imagine that?

9 subs? Is this for real? It's the end of football as we know it.....

Sadly football as we know it, died the day the Russian bought Chelsea.

Wouldn't happen if you didn't start about ten threads a day now would it ?

We're gonna need a bigger dugout.

Good, we can extend the City Stand at the same time.
