Forest

Definitely lucky. WH twice hit the bar and Henderson in great form. Should be 1-1 at best for Forest. They are working hard and as its a very new team, are doing really well. Good luck to them.

Got to love another excuse to bash the club though 👍

That’s what money gets you. Norwich are an unwanted, pointless stain on 21st century premier league, might as well not bother be there when promoted.

Toffolo left years ago.

Forest have been out of the top league for the last 20 plus years.

We're rubbish at the moment, but for goodness sakes, get a grip people.

We let Toffolo go at 22 years old after he'd never played a league game for us, when we also had a better prospect in Jamal Lewis in the ranks. He also dropped down to league 2 and now 5 years later has worked his way up.

So who wins the leaving Norwich booby prize?

Toffolo playing for forest or Cameron mcgeehan marrying tiff Watson from made in Chelsea?

Every early win and fighting performance by this year’s promoted sides is another nail in the coffin of Norwich City Football Club.

Just as well we won’t win promotion this season as it would be met with derision by the wider football communities.

We have lovely training facilities though.

If the OP means incredibly spawny then yes they are. Actually thought they weren’t that great and will struggle if that’s all they have but I suppose they did show good spirit and Henderson is a good keeper who actually saves non regulation shots.

The bad news for Forest is that Brentford, Southampton, Leeds, possibly Everton, seem to have a bit more about them than last season.

I find that saying 'they're giving it a go' increasingly disturbing. If what this means is 'buying a whole new starting squad' then the whole thing is ****ed.

Whatever else you think about the situation, the fact that it essentially takes hundreds of millions and even then you need some luck to have a chance of competing isn't right.

Football in this country is just who has the biggest wallet and I'm quickly losing interest in it

If Forest have the money to spend, why shouldn’t they? They seem to have stretched a little further to bring in players like Awoniyi, Williams and Mangala, who bring genuine quality to their team.

Sure they got REALLY lucky today, but as has been said in a thread about our (absence of) luck; sometimes luck has to be earned.

They’ll probably lose 0-5 at Everton next week.

Forest had to bring alot in, but it helps when your owner can divert cash from his other clubs to help.

That said they seem to have bought well and have a solid spine to the team with good pace to break with.

Makes you sick. West Ham rolled us over with their physicality every time we played them. We were never in it. Promoted clubs showing what giving the league a go looks like.

Money doesn’t guarantee success but the lack of it guarantees failure. Delia Out.

Most clubs have these days. Nothing pioneering about that these days😉🙃

Everything that we aren’t

Technically though,  you can apply this statement to all 20 teams in the Premier League.

We had a couple of moments in 19/20.. Newcastle at home, Everton away, Leicester home and away… but it is **** to see clubs like Forest and Brentford making such a fist of it.

Forest a bit of a sleeping giant though. Mental to think how long they’ve been outside the top flight a club there size. So awfully run for so long.

But were they the better team in the first half stats wise And what is their XG?

I know football fans are notoriously thick but Forest were lucky and most days would have lost that game. They will need to improve significantly.

They had a lower xG than West Ham, who will be feeling hard done by but the intelligent ones will realise they didn't deserve to lose and if they continue to play in a similar way will be fine.

This.

At least 2 goal line clearances, twice hit the bar and a missed penalty. WH should have won comfortably and could've been a thrashing.

Fair play to Forest but they won't be that lucky every week.

Very, very lucky to win today but as with all these things you make your own luck. Got the goal and had something to protect. It's a lot harder when you're always a goal down before you start playing which was our biggest problem
