Delia out

You obviously shocked them into silence by your defence of the indefensible.

More likely the fact they couldn't contribute an individual thought between them so had to repeat straplines they'd read on twitter.

They definitely need to go. Even forgetting their lack of money their mentality isn’t right for our club. Their blind acceptance of relegation as part of the journey. Begging Webber to stay and letting him dictate his terms. This carefree “what will be will be” attitude is everything wrong here and it’s filtered all the way down. There seems to be no consequences for failure here and that needs to change asap.

I take it, then, that you feel the future’s rosy under the current ownership, what with their dynamic and visionary approach.

Whatever happens next can't be worse than the shower of ****e that has been dished up this season, problem is even if by some miracle we do get promoted nothing will be different with these owners.

Unfortunately, as many clubs will testify, thats not true. I would really back a new owner but I don't want to see the first chancer who comes along take over.

Would the second one be ok?

How the hell has a club with this history in the premier league been so embarrassed? Its utter, utter incompetence with any possible suitor being told "it's ours , go away." How is that socialist?

To be fair, with our history in the premier League this looks a lot less embarrassing...

The problem this season was recruitment we all know that. Had it been better I think we could have had a good chance to stay up. Therefore for me, I don't think wanting Delia out makes sense. We spent money and got it wrong.

Better sized portions of scampi back in the Gunn Club 👍

Sadly the height of some ambition on here is to have Delia in control and nothing else. Put the club up for sale and see what happens. We won't know until we try but the Delia train has reached its station.

It's not up to 5 lads standing behind you to decide who replaces Delia!

You know there's no genuine argument left when this is the first thing they come up with. Hoggy and others have nothing left to defend her with apart from that.

Everything has a ending, and her/their tenures ending came a went a while ago.

I think the most damning part of their ownership now is that alot of us are saying is there really any point in us getting promotion again next season, if that doesn't show how bad it's gotten from top to bottom, nothing will.

Recruitment, loss of key personnel behind the scenes, a dysfunctional board, two cosy married couples directly involved with the running and decision-making of the Club, lack of drive, unwillingness to take risk, a general air of stagnation.  A change of ownership is needed urgently.

More worryingly what are the repercussions of continuing with these owners and the club structure..L1 again? One player sale away from financial hardship (Maddison).. this sesson has been shockingly bad! They're at fault...

Nah. To compete at the top table its been proven that generally speaking you need a lot of money. There are temporary exceptions where if you get everything right you might hang on for a season, at a push even two (see Brentford).

The problem is shouting we want Delia out doesn't solve that problem.

I remember the League One predictions last time we got relegated because it was only a couple of years ago 🙃 I guess with football being so variable,  eventually those people could be right one year. They'll have just had to wait 4 years, or 40 years, to claim that victory.

If Delia loves the club as much as she says she does she should sell

She has had a good go had some success

But to cling on like this is Embarrassing

Money isn’t necessarily a pre-requisite.  Fresh ideas, motivation to drive things forward, a willingness to instigate change and a greater appetite for risk would all be a distinct improvement on the stagnation and decay we’re witnessing under the current ownership.

Lot's of fine words, but what do any of them mean in genuine substantive terms? Perhaps you could explain one of them so we can see where Delia has gone wrong. Perhaps start with "motivation to drive things forward", no doubt it's my failure, but I haven't got a clue what you think that involves.

Exactly that, and that nearly did for Bolton Wanderers, basically.

Queried 5 lads shouting Delia Out behind me what happens next. Everyone around me (a couple of you i know post on here) will vouch that their response was "billionaire owner and we do better"

I like their optimism but thats as far as their knowledge on the subject went.

Your comment is part of the problem. So pathetically timid the way that attitude exists amongst our support.

Don’t die wondering was never uttered at Carrow Road.

But in the absence of a benevolent billionaire, presumably an owner with a bit more motivation, drive, vision, desire, willingness to shake things up, greater risk appetite, and ability to lead would be an improvement on the current moribund ownership.

No. Understanding it could go well or could go bad is fundamentally the absolute basics of probability. That the expectation is it would only get better under some is completely delusional backed up by years and years of facts.

The word “pedant” comes to mind.

All things come to an end. Sadly I do now think it is time. This is a watershed moment.  For me its about culture . She is not driving a success orientated attitude. We have had good managers,  good players, good crowds and gazillions of parachute payments. Its all been there. But a defeatist " we are just happy to be here" approach has undermined it all. Time for a new era.

Well the fact they will hang on until it’s too late probably means it will go south after they walk away. They have utterly wasted so many excellent opportunities and moments when we would have been attractive to invest in.

Everything has a shelf life. Their ownership of this club passed that shelf life long ago. Ludicrously though, there are fans that believe these are the only people who can own the club. Quite what they think will happen to the club in the not so distant future is anyones guess.
