Just wish someone would come in & make a offer then we could have a proper discussion, but no blood money.

But surely NCFC are a decent prospect, no debt, own the stadium & Carrow Road, own the training ground.

Just want the money to buy a squad capable of getting back to the Premier league & staying there & maybe a cup run, not to much to ask for is it? 🤔

Jim Ratcliffe is a tax avoiding, union-busting, Brexit-cheering serial polluter who supports Man Utd. He takes advantage of any available legal loopholes to increase his already enormous wealth still further at expense of those who work for him. Yes, he’s not a leader of a homophobic, murdering regime from the Middle Ages but just having a big bank balance doesn’t qualify him to own our club. Be careful what you wish for.

Sorry Nuff Said, as long as he's not part of some regime that tortures people etc, I can put up with his politics. I know some on here hate Delia just because she is not a drooling right-winger, but I don't really care about peoples' politics if they could give City hundreds of millions.

To oppose a takeover from someone who is right-wing would be just as bad as opposing the current regime because they are centrists (or socialists as some like to call them).

Also the Webber man would be released to pursue bigger summits.

Referencing Delia Smith and Michael Wynn-Jones’ influence on his switch, the Norwich Sporting Director admitted: “When the opportunity came up here, my wife said you need to speak to these people, as in the owners, because she thought I would just like it.

When I spoke to them, they convinced me and said we’ll let you do whatever you want.

We haven’t got the money to support it but you can do what you want and that excited me greatly because I love building stuff, I love building buildings.

“I love building culture but I love it doing it without interference from people who don’t know because what happens in football a lot is, people interfere who haven’t got a clue.

When someone gets a bit of success as an owner or a chairman, they start to think they do know and start to go, ‘oh I think we should do this’.

“Whereas here, Delia and Michael really convinced me, or I believed should I say that these guys would let( US )do whatever we wanted and that was exciting.”

Chairman  . CEO . Sporting Director.

one man or should I say a married couple.

With Webber overseeing proceedings at Norwich this summer, it wouldn’t be at all surprising if he uses his strong mentality to attract new players who will help the club achieve their goal of becoming an established Premier League side for the foreseeable future🤫

So he’s a Manchester United fan, who made a bid for Chelsea. I’m sorry but what makes you think that he would be interested in Norwich?

To make a Faust buck maybe ?

PS....what's Mucus Evans doing now?

No comments on the people he employed and pays, the tax he does pay, the positives people like him bring to thousands, just that he might not pay all the tax he should! Yet he’ll have fanatical advisors and accountants who run these companies for him! It smacks of little Green eye monster syndrome to me!

Nah, the "envy" line is just the one parroted out as smoke and mirrors. What his staff pay in terms of tax is irrelevant. Reminds me of the famous Leona Helmsley line that "tax is for little people".

Depending on our theoretical billionaire's degree of investment, I could be persuaded to accept an argument that they leave out the middleman (the government in this case) and have decided to spend what would have been given in tax on the club instead.

Because we're not a basket case club is one of the reasons no-one (it seems) is looking at us as a means of screwing the club over for profit.

The no debt is why we're probably not. We're not a financial basket case. We're not desperately in need of cash for existential reasons. Any potential buyer is going to have to pay full value for all of that and that's just to put their nameplate down as the owners. In other words, that's before we even get to shelling out a penny in transfer fees, wages, signing-on fees, etc.

The world of football finance is a bit topsy-turvy. If you're more in debt, you're more attractive unless you're an absolute basket case.

EDIT: LOL @Wings of a Sparrow. Posted the same blasted thing at exactly the same damn time. Great minds think alike. Or something.

More than I earn a month that's for sure & more than the current board would ever think of spending,  I've been going since 1972 & it's always been the same, so something or someone new would be a much needed boost for the club and fans especially,

Pity you only re posted part of my post!

Fair enough, I’m not arguing that he shouldn’t be allowed to buy the club. As Indy has kind of alluded to, anyone with enough cash will probably have at least some minor skeletons in their closet, whether it’s running their business at an “aggressive” level of efficiency, or people they’ve upset in their journey to a full bank account. But from what I’ve heard (and again, I’m no expert, I could be wrong, it has happened once or twice) he’s unpleasant and doesn’t feel the obligations that bind TGS’s “little people” apply to him. I wouldn’t feel I could give him and his investment the sort of support I have previously devoted to this club.

I guess it’s an interesting philosophical question - what would be too much for people to swallow (not meant to be a BK8 reference, although it’s a good example). A buyer with a fortune made through gambling (Denise Coates at Stoke for example)? P o r n? Weapons?  Putin?

I would want to know whether he was just going to be a financier, or  genuinely interested in the club.

Jim has a lot going on, particularly in  my neck of the woods.

Would he have the time to take a  real interest? Would he  turn up at games? Is that important these days?

Jesus that’s frightening reading. There can definitely be too much oversight, it becomes stifling and time consuming. But basically zero is a little extreme and explains some things.

To be honest I have little knowledge of him personally, he’s involved in a lot of ventures but generally doesn’t do the spotlight well so a bit of a low key individual. Being involved in certain carbon capture projects I can say that his companies are looking at compliance, these are run on his behalf but need more time as the facility is pretty much out of date and needs modification. That’s all I do know.

Would I want him here, of course, he’d pretty much put experts in place to run the club as professionally as it should be, I would assume, as it is now under our current owner, but going up might give us that better chance to stay up!

At a reasonable guess I think he would be like the fellow at Tottenham. Funding the team but busy doing other things and having a Daniel Levy type bloke as the front man.

Big Jim Ratcliffe as owner....With Mr James Dyson (Cromer born) and Tim Mr Spoons Martin (Norwich born) as board members and who'll bring in some serious influential business people.....Close Yellows and Delia's and turn them into a hooge Spoons....Cheap an' cheerful an' prices that are affordable....and call the big stadium Spoons "The Conservative Canary"....

What's not to like?.....The Stowmarket Two can retire an' sit behind in the nice, comfy an' toastie glass of the City Stand.....

The rest of the current Directionless board will be shown the door....Although they can join the ST waiting list and put their hands in their purses and wallets and purchase their own season tickets (but only for in the snake pit). I'm sure they'd be welcomed with open arms..... Neppers Tom can either return to his highly successful photo business or become a snivel serpent again.....

Here's hoping!......Cor it'd be so much fun!.....Imagine it on here.....

Sorry about not quoting whole post.

It's just that you said that we were a decent proposition, which we are - but we would cost a lot of money + there is the expenditure on making us an established Premier league team. Radcliffe could afford it - but not many could.

Maybe Ed made a balls of it then😉. Whatever the situation is its not healthy.
