Greavsy 2,415 Posted January 12, 2022 Just seen on Michael Baileys insta that Sargent didn't play tonight as he's become dad. Despite his playing efforts, I think congrats are in order. Not seen it posted elsewhere apologies if it is, and to @cambridgeshire canaryfor starting a thread! Im expecting some 'surprised he scored / hit the target` type responses

Branston Pickle 3,659 Posted January 12, 2022 (edited) I guess, given the timing, we still can’t necessarily say he scored whilst playing for us (I was only fulfilling my obligation by saying this!). Good luck to the guy, glad he’s not missing due to injury/illness. Edited January 12, 2022 by Branston Pickle

TheGunnShow 5,940 Posted January 13, 2022 Fair play to him if that's what he wanted. Then again, I speak from the perspective of someone who is hard-pushed to think of anything I'd want less in life than to become a father. Here's hoping the labour is as easy as it can be and that they all find plenty of happiness together in the days ahead.

WD40 720 Posted January 13, 2022 Congrats, for sure. But if he’s playing like that when he’s well rested how is he going to do when he’s had no sleep with a new baby.
