Some of the crap aimed at Idah was an absolute disgrace. That kind of blatant racism is why we still take knees.

Sadly, it appears we are not.

Just because the standard of our on-pitch performance is dropping like a stone, that doesn't mean our supporters also have to plumb the depths. The results may be cr@p at the moment, but let's at least retain something to give us a bit of pride in the club.

Yeah, that isn't great is it? It's one thing criticising players for lack of work ethic etc, but if this is true then it's way out of line.

Hopefully just 1 or 2 idiots the club can quickly identify.

Just plays into that “provincial backwater” stereotype which we know isn’t true of most Norfolkites.

Word is the fan doing it was identified by Norwich fans and lead away by stewards, anyone at the game confirm this?

It’s obviously not good. Not good in the slightest. That some people have that switch in them that they start using race. It just baffles me.

Nothing to do with that. Racism is rife in football, just look at the abuse hurled a some members of the England team.

Very sad but it doesn't surprise me at all.

obviously any racism is to be condemned and needs to be punished swiftly but can’t help thinking it’s another consequence of the deep seated frustration being felt by the fanbase now. People are lashing out and sadly for some that may result in this kind of unacceptable abuse.

There is never a need to throw racist or personally abusive insults at someone, regardless of the event. Utter idiots. I was unaware of racist comments being shouted at opposition players at the game though. Did anyone witness this personally?

Also, I’m never a fan of block capital letters being used in an official announcement. Being a Marcomms person, it’s very shouty and aggressive. My OCD kicking in.

Agree with the premise of the part in bold, but would say this is precisely the time to be so.

Please dont refer to these idiots as fans or supporters - as they are anything but that, in my opinion when they conduct themselves in such a manner

I was with two mates yesterday about ten rows from the front and i must say the part of that statement about in stadia racism by Norwich fans has taken us by surprise as most certainly did not hear anything in that respect.

Now those of you on Twatter nothing would surprise me what some morons put on there.

Have we another Rooney moment when he was playing for Everton and Norwich fans chanted ' You fat ba$tard ' and Everton FC took it to be racist abuse at their forward Yobo and claimed it to be ' You black so and so ' ?

I think there's an element of that Jim but most people know where to draw the line.

I'm not even sure you can align this with the club fans, especially online abuse which is also mentioned.

You've also got alcohol and dare I say drugs coming into play as well.

I know there's racism everywhere but I've never heard it in the stands. Disgusting, and I hope the neanderthals responsible get locked up and banned.

Shameful.

I was apathetic at best for the last 3 months. Stopped watching entirely pretty much and resorted to keeping vague track of the scores and watching highlights. I can't even be bothered to put in that much effort right now, think this is the straw that breaks the camel's back for me. I'm done entirely for this season, quite possibly for good tbh.

Never felt so disconnected to the club.

Dont blame the club for the actions of a few (or maybe less) mindless idiots that are not welcome at our, or any other, club.

They have no place in football or society.

You would have missed the comments from our fan/s of the year and the Billy Gilmore tweet then! (which they have now removed, but only once the nationals picked it up, evidently).

I said at the time I could not think of less deserving people for the award, and I think this proves the case. With any luck the club will strip them of the gong.

I'm not saying this is definitely the case but with tickets/travel being subsidised by the club is there possibly a lot of people that went to this game that wouldn't usually bother? Idiots that aren't even bothered about the result anyway.

Not saying this is definitely the case it just crossed my mind. I've never witnessed behaviour like that at carrow road and the Gilmour chant of "**** off back to Chelsea" seemed extreme.

Racism should have no home in society & I don't think personal attacks on individuals has a place in football either. I  can understand being totally disappointed with how things are right now, but the abuse which Billy Gilmour & other's have received is totally unacceptable. These player's have family & friends, just like you & me, imagine people shouting obscenities at your mum/dad/brother or sister, how would you feel. OTBC

I'm short on time atm Tilly. Plus it, coincidentally involves a poster, late of this parish, so not sure if that would contravine their banning restrictions.

Racism on Twitter doesn’t surprise me at al but before this statement I’d heard nothing at all about it at the ground. Would something have been said on here or elsewhere before this statement came out?

Racist abuse is horrendous. No excuse for it at all.

Disgusted.

Whoever they are, are filth. Hopefully they can track them down using ticket sales but also on the social media channels.

Name the filth who have targeted a young man who plays for this club and throw them out of anything associated with our football club.
