Thank the lord we play Arsenal too soon.

Could be Arteta's last game.

Arsenal are so poor. That second goal was shocking defending. No doubt they'll be on the form of their life by the time we play them...

“Captain, we’re getting Plucky levels coming from Brentford the likes of which I’ve never seen!”

Pleased for the Brentford fans but not a lot to worry about with either of these sides over at least the early part of the season.

One of the worst things about having Norwich in the Prem is that it makes it impossible to hope that a team like Brentford pull off an upset against Arsenal. We need the big boys to win all their games against Brentford, Watford, Burnley etc.

I agree and I know it’s early days but Arsenal are not looking like one of the big boys.

With all due respects, Arsenal were bullied out of that. I watched Janssen purposely stride into the goalmouth in front of the goalie with the express intention of blocking him, ending up with pinning his arms behind him.

Unfortunately, we will NOT get that level of leniency or generosity from the PL refs - history has proved that 😬

Not sure Brentford have played that well really, they've created very little.

Arsenal should be fined for fielding a weakened team.

A bonus 3 points for Brentford which we'll have to match at some stage.

Brentford have looked really well organised and have made it really difficult for Arsenal to create anything. It's not pretty but it's pretty effective. Fair play to them.

Arsenal have one of the most blunt looking play styles I’ve seen though, been the case since Arteta joined.

Turns out my correct score bet of 2-1 to Brentford wasn’t as insulting to Arsenal as I initially thought it was…

Of course once Arsenal get their strikers back they are going to improve but my word this has to be one of the worst Arsenal sides I have seen in years
