City have bottled it again.

Hit the nail on the head. The usual spectacular lack of ambition. Cheap players no one has ever heard of and refusing to buy real quality

We've hardly bottled it by not signing a player from a pub league. He can't be that good if he settled for Brentford.

Why didn't we sign Messi? He took a pay cut to stay where he was. I bet we didn't even tell him about argos

Well done Norwich, had a valuation in mind for said player, Celtic wanted more than we were prepared or could afford to offer. Now moving on to the next target.
I still think Webber and Co will pull one or two gems out of the hat before deadline day.

Yep, bottled it.

Ignore the near record transfer record signing we've made that's described as champions league class.

And fighting off established premier league sides to loan a player described as "a real coup" for the club.

Not to mention signing another player who last season played in the Europa League. Oh and bringing back a player universally lauded during his time at the club resulting in England recognition.

Yeah we've truly bottled this close season for not over spending on a player I've seen described as "utter pish" by Celtic fans.

How have they bottled it? They've far from bottled it. Webber et al have sat down, looked at the player and considered their valuation, made an offer presumably and Celtic wanted more, clearly hoping for a bidding war. So by staying steadfast and not having their pants pulled down they've not bottled it. What a ridiculous assertion to make by the OP

Get back to TWTD, there's great news awaiting you. They might just possibly be buying a Rotherham mid-fielder. Now that's what I call pushing the boat out.

I can see the basic point but too early to say that. I think if he was a player we were that bothered about then we would have matched Brentford. I can’t bring myself to get too upset about missing out on this one mainly because all the reports of what the player is like suggest he’s not what we are missing. We need a bit of pace and physicality and supposedly those are his weaker attributes.

No not bottled it at all... however we need a decent CB and more fire power in my opinion if we have any ambitions to stay up. I am sure Webber is on it...

I’ve been watching this topic from afar but now I’ve had to get myself involved and what I can’t understand is the discussion point and what we are all looking to achieve from discussing said point (whatever that point is).

Hi by the way. Nice to meet you all.

Well if we have £10m to spend on CB then we will spend it before the transfer window closes. Likewise a striker.

I think DM is where we will go with what we have now.
