nutty nigel 7,963 Posted November 23, 2016 Welcome PUPs to week seventeen of our tenth Rays Funds season. After AJ’s exciting win last week this weekend we have Mandie Moo in charge of the final six selections. Mandie has been a great supporter of Rays Funds ever since she joined our team all those years ago. Not just participating in the threads but also supporting me and our PUPs at many of our events and presentations. She’s also become a good friend to so many of us and I was chuffed to share going to Wembley with Mandie and her family. Mandie’s been on good form this season with 11/15 correct picks and of course has twice won before from this hot seat. So I think we have a great chance of back to back wins if we get that little bit of luck we always need. We can all help by giving Mandie our very best selection from the games played on Sat/Sun/Mon of this weekend that are listed on the William Hill or Bet 365 web sites. Selecting from the Norwich picks this weekend is Duncan Edwards. Duncan’s won for us making these selections before so we’re in safe hands. Dunc was also with us on that day at Wembley. In fact it was through one of his excellent blogs that we ended up hijacking that coach with the BBC. I will claim the ultimate credit though because he obviously gets his writing skills from the old man……. You have a tenner to spend Duncan. Split how you like on the selections from the PUPs and your own. Last week’s great win took the presentation pot to £1227 all added since April. You PUPs are amazing! I’m going to get this posted now as I’m out until after the AGM. Hope to see many PUPs there. It’s always good to meet up whatever the occasion. So now I’ll hand the thread over to Mandie Moo and Duncan Edwards. Remember there’s no pressure because we are all going to be doing our best to help you to success. We all stand together with the single aim of raising money for the Community Sports Foundation and our fabulous Downes Syndrome boys and girls.. Good luck all you PUPs... take it away Mandie and Duncan ... the thread is yours.......[:)]...... Feedthewolf 5,931 Posted November 23, 2016 I know I usually look for reasonable value, but this week I''m going for something nailed-on.Welsh Premier League, The New Saints v Airbus UK, home win.The New Saints have won all 15 of their league matches so far this season, with a goal difference of +47. They''ve also won away to two Scottish League clubs in the Scottish League Challenge Cup (how they ended up in that competition is anyone''s guess!), including a 3-0 win at Livingston who are currently top of League One.Airbus UK are rooted to the foot of the table, and lost 4-1 at home to The New Saints earlier in the season. If this was in La Liga the odds would be 1/20 or shorter, so 1/8 seems pretty decent for an absolute sitting duck.As for the Norwich match, our odds are relatively generous for the win. With good reason, some might say, but I can''t help but think of the win-win ramifications of Norwich stopping the rot and us also winning some money for the CSF! Therefore, I''ll go with Norwich to win and both teams to score at a lofty 6-1.The very best of luck to both of you!
Molly Windley 76 Posted November 24, 2016 Good luck to all as alwaysWas going for Rijeka but Yankee has already picked that so my choice is a Monday game and a home win for Huddersfield vs Wigan @ around even moneyNo idea about the City game, could be anything the way we are playing so a City 3-1 win @ 34.00 is a shot in the dark.OK for the City/Barnsley game on the 10th Nutty

sonyc 6,145 Posted November 24, 2016 Good evening all and good luck pickers.Portsmouth at home has to be a banker. On a great run.As for City, such a bad run, such negativity ...that just makes me sense a positive result. Think we could pull one out of the fire even if Derby have properly turned the corner. So 1-2 result for me.But like others, my pick is for Jacob to score anytime, celebrating his whopping long term contract.

AJ 1,377 Posted November 25, 2016 Odds probably aren''t great, but a trip to Portugal for me this week sees top of the table and unbeaten Benfica take on 3rd bottom Moreirense who have won just twice all season. Benfica have kept clean sheets in 4 of their last 5 and conceded just 5 all season! Moreirense meanwhile have scored just 8 goals so far in 10 games compared to Benfica''s 23. Can only see this going one way - Benfica home win.For the Norwich bet, Dorrans to score.... I kid, I''d definitely back the idea of Murphy to score and Norwich to win to celebrate his new contract! Kathy 823 Posted November 25, 2016 Ironic me choosing a pick for Duncan. More often than not it''s the other way round.Scrabble high score for me this week. HNK Rijeka to beat Cibalia Vinkovci in the Croatian league. For City''s game - AN to buy himself some more time with a creditable draw.Good luck guys!
lake district canary 4,878 Posted November 25, 2016 Gaarmany calling.......Bayern Munich to beat Leverkuesen for me please. Agree with Kathy for the Norwich bet. A fighting 2-2 draw. Good luck all.
The Great Drinkell 51 Posted November 25, 2016 After last weeks refreshing win, I''m going back to offering a little VFM Wycombe are starting to get some of their injured squad back and should be too good for Hartlepool this weekend.Wycombe v Hartlepool Home win.For the City bet, Derby looked really good for 45 minutes against Wolves recently then were luck to hold on for a draw, - sound familiar- I think they might just come out all guns blazing again so I''ll go - HT Derby FT Draw. Lessingham Canary 108 Posted November 25, 2016 National league for me this week, and going for 2nd placed Linclon to get a home win v Maidstone. And for the City bet, 2-2 sounds best so far, so will put my energy into that also.Good luck to Mandie and Duncan, and all you Pups - make it another good weekend! ZLF 342 Posted November 25, 2016 Good luck to one and all pups; but mostly to our beleaguered teamBundesliga 2 for me, Heidenheim home win at at evens with william hill going well in the league against St Pauli with 1 point on the travels from 7 matches seems decent value for me.For us? an against the odds (Derby not conceded a home goal since Sept) clean sheet. PurpleCanary 6,463 Posted November 25, 2016 The Schleswig-Holstein section of the German Oberliga.Todesfelde to win at home against Concordia Schonkirchen.Todesfelde have a so-so 5-1-3 and 16/11 home record but are in excellent form, Concordia Schonkirchen''s away record is not so bad, at 2-1-4 and 4/14, but they are by contrast in poor form. The current odds are 1/6.---For the NCFC bet I see a 2-2 draw and a 2-1 away win are both priced at 12/1, and would suggest either of those.Good luck to all! Mr Apples 1,407 Posted November 25, 2016 Hi all, I''m going to Fwaaaaance this week for Metz vs. Lorient (home win). For the City bet I think we have reached the bottom of the trough and will beat Derby 3-1, with a JaMurph double. All the best PUPs!Apples
