Herman 11,136 Posted November 2, 2008 So long as you are prepared for really boring football. But then again that is how Stoke got out of this league!
Carlos Valderrama 0 Posted November 2, 2008 He had no money when he started at Bolton and did OK there. He had money to spend when he went to Newcastle and didnt do so well. On form you get the best from Sam when their isnt a pot to * in.....
Thecanaryfan 0 Posted November 2, 2008 I would love to see big sam topple the weasle. Cant see him talking bo##ox in pre/post match interviews. And the players would respect him.
Syteanric 1 Posted November 2, 2008 yes.. they would respect a manager whos dealings in the transfer market led to him getting the push from his previous employer, and saw his name reduced to mud by the BBC....no thank you.. also, how long was he at Bolton with them stagnating? they never improved under Allerdyce! he dint exactly set the wrold on fire at Newcastle either.. plus he''d want a fair whack in wages...Lets leave him on the dole queue. A VERY over rated manager IMOjas :)
Yellowbeagle 0 Posted November 2, 2008 Sam Allarydyce is a good manager and did a very good job at Bolton, the Newcastle fans are possibly apart from spurs the most impatient fans in the UK. When they play poorly they just want to play good football, when they play good football they say they just want to be higher up the league, when they are higher up the league they just want champions league football, when they have champions league they just want silverware. And they want all of this as soon as a new manager is appointed, Newcastles fans are their clubs biggest problem, the self appointed most passionate fans in the uk, according to themselves.Despite this I''m not sure he would want to play football in the way I like Norwich to play and have traditionaly. But i guess it''s a choice between winning ugly or losing pretty, but i guess it beats what we have currently which is losing ugly. Oh and i bet we wouldnt be able to afford his wages or even the money we would have to pay to let Roeder go.
whoareyou? 0 Posted November 2, 2008 I''d rather have 1-0 wins and a solid back line than the crap we are currently being served at the moment. At least we might move up the table then!

alex_ncfc 686 Posted November 2, 2008 But having a ''quality'' manager like Roeder at the helm means you''re quite happy to keep going then?
O.T.B.C 1 Posted November 2, 2008 4 top eight finishes in a row in the Prem. I''m sure all of you would love that as too would NUFC.....................Don''t make any odds, we can''t afford to get rid of GR, we can''t afford to get him and his 10 men and he wouldn''t come here. komakino 282 Posted November 4, 2008 I think it may of been overlooked by Norwich fans that Big Sam WAS going to become our manager, but Bruce Rioch got the gig instead. My info came from a very reliable source at the time, and it was barely a case of doting the i''s and crossing the t''s. However, I was told that Sam''s attitude to alcohol was a concern, especially his ''A team that drinks together wins together'' mantra. The deal was off.The could all be rubbish, but the source was a good one. Big Sam would of been a good move and is a manager who is far to good to be without a club right now. Admittedly he is not one for the purists, but who cares if the results come? I don''t think he would touch Norwich with a barge pole if the job was offered to him, or at least until we became a credible force, which with all the will in the world, we aren''t right now. Shaun Tilly Lace 0 Posted November 4, 2008 Allardyce would certainly do a better job than the chump who occupies the hotseat at the moment, that''s for sure.
xxxx 0 Posted November 4, 2008 Well according to the BBC gossip page Allardyce has turned down the chance to be the next QPR manager so the chances of him coming to a club that is skint and on the verge of League 1 football are less than zero .
