I know all you lovely old Pickers will do your best because your love of our great club is as deep as mine . Remember if your selection doesn''t come off It doesn''t matter the Free Bet is just fun for you lovely old Norwich City fans , also remember you are the only fans in the world that has this unique way of helping your club thanks to our sponsors Dixmar Racing .I was thinking the Pickers we have range far and wide from the U.S.of A to our wonderful capital the "big smoke" as I like to call it . Ivana_rubyatitz 6 Posted August 6, 2008 Hey, great to be back....although it is a pig to be lumbered with the first week of the season with no form so good luck to Berkshire.I would suggest a home win for starters in League 2 - Bradford to beat Notts County. Bradford have added a few faces over the summer and are tipped to go up but Notts County struggled last season with only two away wins and finished 21st. can u sit down please 0 Posted August 6, 2008 Lets win some money! My pick would be newly promoted Peterboro winning at "playoff hungover" Southend.
newyorkcanary 14 Posted August 6, 2008 And so it begins.... Without any results this year to base our selections, I think it best to ignore the payouts and just pick who I think will win. Getting creative is a midseason luxury. I''m going to start things off by making people wait until Sunday for my game, and going with Celtic HOME WIN over St. Mirren. I can''t see them slipping up at home after Rangers'' Champions League embarassment. And because New York has essentially become a smoke-free city (no smoking in bars, restaurants, stadiums) I afraid I can''t continue the pun theme. And I had thought Arrdee would be doing a Olympic theme this week. There''s always next week. Good luck all!
Leedscanary 389 Posted August 6, 2008 Arrdee - its great the best Pink Un thread is back. I can''t wait until my go!I''ve been on and off the board all day today, waiting for this thread to appear so I could post my nap - and lo and behold if Peterboro hasn''t already picked it! B ugger. [:D]However, its still my Nap, and I remember Nutty last year insisting that even if our choice is already picked we must stick to our initial thoughts and not to go try looking for second best.So for the first pick of the new season its BRADFORD CITY home win against Notts County.Good luck,Leedscanary (Young Gun)

I hope you all have seen that I made no reference to Golden Virgina in an attempt to keep Devon and Lapps mind on football , a forlorn hope I know but I have tried my best .[:D] ....arrdee. Cosmic Twin 192 Posted August 6, 2008 I''m going to go for Northampton to win at home to Cheltenham.Northampton were good at home last season and Cheltenham were pretty poor away. Not an awful lot to go on and you sometimes get some strange results in the opening few weeks! But I like the look of this one and Northampton won this fixture last season!Good luck Berkshire Canary! Trent Canary 0 Posted August 6, 2008 Well hello everyone, good to be back. Have been studying hard for the last few days in anticipation, and although its already been chosen, I wont deviate from my original choice of Celtic v St Mirren. Best of luck Berkshire, a very tough week with the lack of a form guide, but sure we can give it a good go!
Camuldonum 0 Posted August 6, 2008 If the game is still on - and there remains lingering uncertainty about this - Lincoln City to beat Rotherham United away. Imps have looked very sharp pre-season and with a very new look squad I see them beating Rotherham who face a points deduction this week.
Graham Humphrey 13 Posted August 6, 2008 The first few weeks are going to be tough for predictions but I fancy Crystal Palace beating troubled Watford.Good luck.
lappinitup 629 Posted August 6, 2008 Not much time as my PC is in bits, just holding it together with a few nails, cellotape and some blue-tac for this.......So as I said a couple of months back.....Norwich to beat Coventry away.....Easy peasy! [Y]
ca 1 Posted August 6, 2008 QPR to beat Barnsley - dead cert.Good Luck everyone [:)]

Buncey 1 Posted August 6, 2008 Lapp''s not wasting any time this season, already with the away picks [:P][:D]Down to the business. My nap this week is Dundee to smoke Cylde. Dundee came second to a very good hamilton last season and Cylde scrapped through the play-offs last year to stay in the scots div. 1, after only winning one away game all season.Hopefully we won''t be huffing and puffing this week and we''ll be on fire straight away and get the lucky strike(s) that win some money for foncy. Inch High aka Inchy.. 417 Posted August 6, 2008 Hi Arrdee and all. Evil Monkey 52 Posted August 6, 2008
I was thinking the Pickers we have range far and wide from the U.S.of A to our wonderful capital the "big smoke" as I like to call it .
I''m going to be contra-versial and suggest Pompey to beat Man Utd in the Community Shield. United will be without some key players and have one eye on the season opener, whilst Portsmouth will be looking to prove their FA Cup win was no fluke and with their new signings should take the game to United. Plus they have a good record against them.Sorry its a Sunday game though...
lucky green trainers 0 Posted August 6, 2008 sticking to the champs as usual this year, and looking for value - i reckon wolves will get going early for mickey boy and i take them to beat plymouth away, who look much weaker this season...wolves to beat plymouth?<>

DDD In The Fine City 1 Posted August 6, 2008 Well boys and girls[;)] the Free bet is back and with it on page 2 with 23 replys on a wednesday night it has already set a new record! Now lets go set another and take that lovely old boy Billy Dixon to the cleaners, you certanly have drawn the short straw Berkshire with the first week as we have no form to go on and i dont think i have ever had to look so hard for my pick.On to that, i have had to break my only rule about my pick and go for those dirty Binners, their home form last season was better than anyone elses and i think it has to continue into this season, even if only for one game, plus if it doesn''t come in i''m happy anyways cos the scum has lost.Ip$hit v Preston - Home winGood luck Berkshire do us proud mate! Barclay_Boy 0 Posted August 6, 2008 Have not got a clue what it''s all about, but never one not to have an opinion on something so I will go for Derby to win the battle of the "D''s" and see off Doncaster.
First Wazzock 1,011 Posted August 6, 2008 Well done on securing this again Arrdee.I have got to second Barclay Boy and say Derby will mash Donny.
YankeeCanary 0 Posted August 6, 2008 Rangers to win away at Falkirk. Following the loss on a wet night in Lithuania I don''t see Rangers wanting to go into Saturday evening on a loss, with Celtic expecting the points at home the next day. They lost out to Celtic by three points last season and should be highly motivated for this game.
Gentleman Jim 0 Posted August 6, 2008 Here we go again on the RFFF !Good luck Berkshire Canary I hope we can help you off to a good start. Not much form to go on, but what there is points emphatically at DUNDEE to beat Clyde in Scottish lge1. (piece of cake for Dundee is this, ha ha !)Go get em Berks !

All I can do is to tell you what happened last week. I went up to colney with ''Peter Styvesant'' and his ''Pall Mall'' to see the ''players'' but couldn''t get in. We decided to ''weights'' about as it would be ''Dunhill'' going home. Just then, GR walked over and invited us in. "You ''kensitas'' down" he said, "We don''t let folks in ''Erinmore'' cos they post it on the pink-un" he said " and we have to be on our ''Guards''. Anyway, he told us about that ''richmond'' who wanted to buy the club but said he preferred chancing his arm in the ''raffles''. Anyway, after that, we met the tea-lady but I was more interested in that ''Gallahers'', corr! So off I went with her for a quick ........cup of tea!........you thought I was going to say ''shag'' didn''t you? [:D]Best of luck ''Berkley'' [Y]
