Jack Stacey...

Recommended Posts

Overlapped more in one game today than Aarons did in the whole of last season

What a performance...MOTM by a mile

Never mind bids for Aarons, we should be fearing someone coming in with a £20m for Stacey before the window shuts...

I thought a player couldn't move twice in a window?

If I was a club in the market for a RB I know which of the two I'd be more interested in on recent performances.

Looking like Stacey is going to be a masterclass of a signing. Mr90% grabbing back a smidgen of credit here.

Makes Aarons looks what he is.. overrated!!

Very good signing. A great athlete, and one of those players that’s just very effective. May not have the flash of a modern fullback, but makes things happen and has a very positive impact on the sides performance.

Absolutely this! If we can get 10m for max from Southampton we should run to the bank.

I'd said on another thread that if max is still here at the end of the window he'd slot in at LB. However, with how Dimi played today there's no way.

Dimi looked like a completely new player today.

I love Aarons and rate him but for a Wagner side...

Stacey has insane energy levels, opposition can't target us aerially that side anymore, he digs decent crosses out from limited space...

On a free as well.

I've no idea if thats true...I do however remember some 25 yrs ago , David Unsworth joining Villa from West Ham...and then moving from Villa to Everton in one summer without kicking a ball for Villa

Stand out player for sure, Normally I'd go for Rowe MoTM for what he done in the first half... But across the match Stacey was just on it constantly.  Looked tired when he lost the ball late in the game and he gave up the chase that one time...  But even after that, it was no surprise our equaliser came from right side and his involvement.

Looks a brilliant signing, and for me, a surprising one as I didn't really know a great deal about him before he joined.

I think that's the key, Stacey has now played for 2 clubs in this calendar year so can't move on, yesterday he could have done.

A significant upgrade on Aarons from what I have seen so far. Physically much stronger and a better crosser of the ball and positioning much better in defense.

Surprised there were 1,300 empty seats today, did Hull not fill their section?

There were empty seats in the front rows of the River End from what I could tell

Very solid for stacey and a great max replacement.   Rowe and Sara ahead in the motm stakes for me though.

It's two clubs in one season, not calendar year. It's not going to happen, but complete hypothetically, Stacey could leave us before the window closes and sign for someone else. But he wouldn't be able to transfer in January, however.

Should start to fill up again to near capacity with performances like that.

Yeah, it was Sara for me, first half at least. All over the pitch, turning defence into attack.

I cant comment as I had to miss the match today but if he is / was so good it does make you wonder why a host of PL clubs weren't snapping him up when it became clear he was surplus to requirements at Bournemouth?
