Rowe was already our best player before the goal but that was real quality; which is ultimately what we're lacking in the rest of the team and why we haven't scored 3 or 4 from our 18 shots. It's a great sign and fully justifies his starting place.

On the whole there seems to be a coherent plan and, for the first game of the season, it's coming together pretty well. Even if we lose this one, I can see what we're trying to do. I'm impressed with the positioning and work rate. There's a bit of a lack of creativity when everyone is behind the ball, but we've seen some decent pressing and a few rapid transitions.

Did you see the save that kept Sarge off the score sheet? It was a world class save.

From that distance, he shouldn't have let the keeper make any kind of save.

All playing well bar Gibson, swap Omobamdiele on for him.

Pretty much how I feel. He's been a pretty poor investment, other than his first season with us he's gone backwards at an alarming rate. Hanley can't come back soon enough

Mumba just scored the kind of goal that instantly reminds why we shouldn’t have sold him. Those of us with any sense know that of course. But plenty on this forum who lack that sense and want to lick the boots of lord Webber.

Mumba just scored a great goal! Hmmm!

Inevitable……just as we are struggling to find the back of the net….

Surely Mumba off the bench couldn't be worse than Tzolis!

Didn't our young winger hit a screamer?

Yep. But wouldn’t it be nice to have options. This isn’t binary

Oh come on, he'd run out of steam, done very little since half time.

Exactly back from a long injury so best to keep him safe for a long season.

Like Springett, Fassnacht and Sainz?

EDIT: Not to mention Hernandez. We're hardly short of wingers/wide midfielders.

You’re not going to convince me or anyone with any sense that selling Mumba is a good thing. The kid is a hell of a talent and should have been kept here.
