He’s 33 in two weeks time - hardly a great replacement for Big Andy

AO was full of mistakes and far from the real deal yet, do you want to do anything this season?  If so, stop pissing your pants and worrying about the age of players and concentrate on what they can do this week, this month, this season.

At least we're selling players on our terms right now, that won't be the case next season if we fail to progress.

So many people moaned about Barnes and he's been a revelation for us.  There's nothing wrong in having an experienced backline when you've got a young attacking flair to your team to balance it up.

Not according to some they didn't 😜😂

Isnt he about to turn 33? Seems our youth model is over.

All go on the Norwich retirement home

Hwang is 31 as well.

A Batth out of hell.

We have made a fortune in sales in recent years. Yet we are shopping in the absolute dregs of the bargain basement, it’s wonderful how good a start we have made, but it’s more luck than judgement. Where is the ambition?

The ambition is to get promoted. Sunderland (against the odds) made the play-offs last year, and Batth was their player of the season.

Is repeatedly being called Sunderland's player of the season on the forum link I posted above.

Player of the season last year, far and away our best and most composed defender

This year we’ve ****ed him off.

Norwich fans absolutely raging on twitter.

f***ing clowns. Some of the comments are embarrassing. In fact just about all of them are.

Quote

Supporters’ Player of the Year award for 2022-23.

Initially establishing himself as a key player in the second half of last season’s promotion campaign, Batth has played 40 league games in the Sky Bet Championship as the team have kept 13 clean sheets so far.

But who gives a **** what we the supporters think or want.

Batth hasn't got off the bench this season. Hopefully won't be needed to get off ours either.

We needed decent pressure or an upgrade on Gibson, ideally a left-footer.

Squad is worse than it was this morning. At least the accounts are.

I'm not going to joke about a scarecrow probably being an upgrade on Gibson

Truest words spoken tonight.

Massively underwhelmed.

Good start to season aside - we have regressed massively in terms of squad value. Sold the family cars and purchased some nice old bangers for next to nothing - which are fun to drive but have almost nothing left on the clock.

Christ.

Selling a 21 year old talent to replace him with a 32 year old journey man is a concern.

33 in a couple of weeks time!!!

Right, so Batth in for Omobamidele. A move sideways on the pitch for this season, and more money in the bank.

Now, let's talk forwards. We desperately need one.

Have you missed the news about Hwang?

You are such a negative individual, do you actually support Norwich City?..............

Yes but not blindly. If you think today is something to cheer you must be simple or insane.

Since when did squad "value" equal success at this level? Pretty sure our Lambert squad and Farke squad weren't valuable. 🤷

Luton last year weren't valuable 🤷

Yet will have more chance of us returning to the EPL

Ask me again in the summer if we don’t go up. Parachute payments will run out, we shall fire sale any remaining talent and won’t have the funds to replace dads army

Nothing seems to say that it's (as good as) done.

The Pink Un lads have been saying the paperwork is in for it for the last 30 minutes.

Am I missing something - are we not in the same transfer window?

I was referring to Barnes and Duffy - pretty sure they signed this window...

It’s neither great nor the end of the world - we have been told all summer long that Omo was all-but certain to leave so there’s little point in bleating about it.  He can’t even get in our side so £15m-£20m is great money however you look at it.   If we get a decent replacement in at short notice, along with the striker we need, I’m happy enough.
