The most embarrassing defeat of them all...

Recommended Posts

Beaten by a Watford 2nd team.

Dean Smith really has mentally broken us.

No cohesion in the front three and more individual mistakes.

We spent on midfield but they are not producing. No connection with the forward line. You can put on 3 attackers but they need service.

Best midfielder today? It was Sargent arguably. Kept tracking back all the match.

Sara £9m... LOL!

And we are letting him choose the next manager. Webber needs to go but because his wife is his boss he'll stay here on a huge salary making us weaker and weaker.

Love the hyperbole but I remember a certain 7-1 at home to Colchester.

Losing by  five at home last season to Villa. The seven nil away to Chelsea.

We have lost a tight game 1-0 to Watford like we have done multiple times over the last 4 years.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say? If you are trying to find solace from that then good luck.

It does make you question how on earth Webber thought any of these signings would keep us in the Premier League. Only Josh remains and even he is, let's be honest, not quite ready for the big time. Shocking signings have got us where we are, otherwise we'd still have Farke and be in the PL

Have to be absolutely realistic here because our form is not just poor, its abysmal  and that more than includes home form..we are in a relegation mode...in relegation form..and the new guy coming in  will have a heck of a battle to keep us alive even in this division...anyone who thinks otherwise must be blinkered.

What is most alarming is how quickly this club, behind the scenes, on the pitch and on the terraces has been dismantled to its current state of being not fit for purpose.

It’s incredible really. It’s almost like somebody is trying to do it rather than by accident.

There’s been stiff competition to choose a favourite ’No Show’ performance this season but yes this one is right up there. Even the xG couldn’t hide how bad this one was.

Spent the day in Southwold and the Ipswich faithful are rubbing their hands with glee about next season's old farm derby prospects.

Don’t just need a new manager, need a new team. It’s a team game as Watford showed!

It was a totally abysmal watch! I agree, Smith and Webber have broken us.

But but but... We've put a massive poster of Sara up, so surely that means something right?..... RIGHT!?

Watching Brentford, with many of the players they had in the Championship destroying Liverpool is a tad depressing too.

Pukki head shake at the end said it all - absolutely dire state of affairs. No doubt the players are trying but the lack of confidence, balance in the team and being devoid of any clear tactics and direction are collectively killing our season.

Next appointment can’t come quick enough plus we do need to try and do some business this month - Hayden might as well be sent back along with Ramsey, free up our loan options

I think where we are again evidences just what a good job Farke did in the second promotion season turning around the mentality so quickly. The players are devoid of both confidence and a playing style.

It hurts so much to watch us playing long balls to Idah, Pukki and Sargent rather than the quality football we were playing and how much we have shot ourselves in the foot. The new manager will in reality need a hell of a lot of patience to implement change but I’m not certain they will get long as the frustration is running deep.

There are some good foundations with the good young players we still have in Gunn, Aaron’s, omabamdiele, mumba, Sara, Nunez, Sargent, Idah, Gibbs, Rowe, Springett, Tzolis but they will need some quality bought in around them and settled in quickly. Next season will be massive for us, as loss of parachute payments will effectively see us sink quickly to mediocre lower mid table, exactly where we were heading before the Farke miracle
