Oh good, another quick fire appointment 🙈 after the last one worked out so well 🤣🤣

I’m more hoping that Webber has actually been doing his job this time and has candidates listed and even contacted ahead of sacking Smith rather than making idiot knee jerk decision when another club sack their manager. I don’t mind if that means tapping up his old contacts like Wagner

A bright young manager was quoted. Thank fcuk that rules Bruce out.

With Wagner being 51, does that rule him out of contention becoming our new bright young manager?

Was this a quote from Webber in the interview? A bright young manager would appear to rule out hopefuls such as Wagner, Wilder, Bruce etc.

Robins, Martin or Schumacher????

Need someone in tonight, can't even trust Russell with 1 more training session let alone anything else.

Robins surely must be in his 50s by now. Hardly young!

Just listened to the interview. Can't recall any mention about a bright young manager. Webber did say 2 on the shortlist aren't even on any of the betting lists!

You know what? Perhaps now people have had a reality check of what our squad is capable of without a manager, maybe people should just get behind whoever replaces Smith rather than the usual 'I won't be convinced until umpteen wins in a row with beautiful free-flowing football for the whole 90 minutes'.

But the fans were behind the team all game? Why didn’t the players get a lift from all their positivity - there were non-stop songs all game, yet…

Probably wouldn't have scored in 2 weeks. We were actually more cohesive under Smith, albeit the atmosphere was 100x better.

Although in no way defending D Smith (manager), any objective reasonably minded fans would not begrudge him spouting a wry smile tonight as he sits at home counting out his 'severance' payment and seeing the team get just a solitary point and a solitary goal in then two home matches since he was axed. Maybe, just maybe Smith was NOT 100% to blame and others should have shouldered the responsibility also.

I don't think anyone said he was 100% the problem, we all acknowledge issues further up the chain, but he was 100% one that was needed to be replaced , unfortunately its harder to get changes further up forced upon, was glad to hear Webber Out chants tonight but a majority of the fan base do not have the stomach to turn on Delia and Michael publicly.

Perhaps this is why we’ve just sold them Saxon Earley for? As compensation for their manager?
