I don’t mind if that means tapping up his old contacts like Wagner
Dean80 1 Posted January 2, 2023 I was listing to talksport today and they mentioned there 4 candidates on the short list and one mentioned Steven Thomas Schumacher as one of them, I hope so a young manager what Norwich need

Samwam27 606 Posted January 2, 2023 Just listened to the interview. Can't recall any mention about a bright young manager. Webber did say 2 on the shortlist aren't even on any of the betting lists!

littleyellowbirdie 3,138 Posted January 2, 2023 (edited) You know what? Perhaps now people have had a reality check of what our squad is capable of without a manager, maybe people should just get behind whoever replaces Smith rather than the usual 'I won't be convinced until umpteen wins in a row with beautiful free-flowing football for the whole 90 minutes'. But the fans were behind the team all game? Why didn’t the players get a lift from all their positivity - there were non-stop songs all game, yet…

Although in no way defending D Smith (manager), any objective reasonably minded fans would not begrudge him spouting a wry smile tonight as he sits at home counting out his 'severance' payment and seeing the team get just a solitary point and a solitary goal in then two home matches since he was axed. Maybe, just maybe Smith was NOT 100% to blame and others should have shouldered the responsibility also.

I don't think anyone said he was 100% the problem, we all acknowledge issues further up the chain, but he was 100% one that was needed to be replaced , unfortunately its harder to get changes further up forced upon, was glad to hear Webber Out chants tonight but a majority of the fan base do not have the stomach to turn on Delia and Michael publicly.
