Have the Madrid fans managed to turn up on time and get in safely?

Doubt that anyone is interested in Madrid fans tbh 😉

Surprised so many on here so eager to blame Liverpool fans. They’ll always be a few idiots trying to get in without tickets but the Liverpool stands are only 40-50% full and there are so many people tweeting photos of them stuck in crowds outside with gates closed and tear gas flying, looks like a massive organisational cluster-f*** to me.

Agree apart from the surprised bit. Its amazing how quickly people are willing to hop on this particular bandwagon.

WTF has Rio Ferdinand got to do with this game? Offers nothing can’t string more than two words together… if you had to have a Man U nobody you’d at least have Ze Gaul

It’s the way these days. We have a government and media that can’t tell the truth and this is what follows

Whether they're all ticketless etc it's plain to see this is an absolute **** show from all quarters. Apparently it's not just the Liverpool end either.

French being organisationally useless as per....

Wundaboy, it’s because we’ve been here before, numerous times.

It does sound like it has been particularly poorly stewarded, and there’s definitely plenty with legitimate tickets who aren’t yet in.  But the Madrid fans are in and fine - why is it just Liverpool, again?   The problem is the fact so many are encouraged to go without tickets, it is bound to cause problems.

I suspect its a combination of too many fans without tickets combined with a French police force never shy at using force but I'm also sure Liverpool fans will be treated as if they are 0% at fault

Never ever hear Liverpool as a club asking fans not to travel unless they have tickets

Who's gone and thrown a concert into the football match?

I still treasure my memories of Atomic Kitten at the Millennium Stadium...

Just possibly having to deal with half-wits with no tickets has slowed things down...

It’s an attempt to make it more like the superbowl

Except they’re not all on, on Twitter there are just as many videos of Madrid fans leaping fences etc. It’s not just the Liverpool fans and to claim so is disingenuous at best.

Aware of that thanks. It’s a culture now where a narrative is jumped upon and the truth is irrelevant

Reports on the ground are the half wits without tickets aren't Liverpool fans though...

They should've just started on time. So what if a few don't make it in. They stopped alot of English fans seeing their team in Europe.

I said Madrid fans appear to be inside the ground - which they are.  You rather seem to be putting words in my mouth.

Bit we’ve been here before, many times.  The fact that Klopp said he wanted people to go without tickets, and the media seems to love quoting vast numbers of people being there - who by definition can’t have tickets, is ridiculous.

thanks for this. Embarrassing number of people on this thread letting their prejudices get the better of them.

At least twelve definitely are, and that's doubtless the tip of the iceberg.
