hogesar 9,722 Posted November 4, 2017 What an absolute joke of a thread and shows the arrogance and ignorance of some."Hey Daniel, we''re going to have to let you go, its not good enough""But we''ve just come off the back of four straight away wins, five would have equalled a club record""Ñope, youre still off""But you''ve given me a minimal transfer budget, released a load of players and we are bedding in a range of foreign players not used to this league""Sorry, Making Plans says its not good enough ""Youve also completely changed the clubs structure top to bottom and on top of that asked me to implement a consistent style of play.""Sorry, some Norwich fans on a forum reckon its not good enough and whilst they have little to base it on and tend to ignore anything that might go against their one dimensional views, they clearly know best and we''re going to appoint Simon Grayson. He''s proven and hes not German. "
king canary 7,654 Posted November 4, 2017 Also worth noting that Pritchard has been missing all season so it isn''t like his loss is some recent blow.

Clint 221 Posted November 4, 2017 Farke needs to start playing to the strengths of the players he has available rather than some ideallyic philosophy that clearly isn''t working.
Creative Midfielder 2,001 Posted November 4, 2017 Very disappointing performance today but boring as these international breaks are, Farke has shown already that he can make good use of them.So here''s hoping he can do it again and we see some progress in a fortnight''s time. JF 694 Posted November 4, 2017 I wouldn’t necessarily say that it isn’t working. I’d say that we are no where clinical enough in front of goal to make it work. Jerome should have put us 1-0 up today when we were very much on top. The problem is we don’t take those chances and when we go behind it’s game over at the moment. A fully fit Oliviera and Pritchard changes the game. When they are back along with Tettey I think we will do well
Clint 221 Posted November 4, 2017 Basically you''re saying it isn''t working JF! I agree that it may work with Nelson and Pritchard in the team but they are not and it may be some time before thy are. In the meantime, Farke needs to adapt and I don''t think he has to date. Rogue Baboon 0 Posted November 4, 2017 Basically we the squad isn’t good enough to cope with 3 injuries.Lose Oliveira we can’t score goalsLose Pritchard we can’t create chancesLose Tettey midfield becomes weakAs I said earlier in the thread, I don’t blame Farke. The issues are much higher than him. Ed Balls thinks the squad is good enough to get us to the Premier League, which shows just out of touch the board is. This is 2017, not 1997, or even 2007. When they are back along with Tettey I think we will do well
Maybe - I think Tettey is a much bigger miss for us than Oliviera and Pritchard but even with him back I think there needs to be some change in the balance between keeping possesion and moving the ball more quickly and aggressively at times. At the moment it seems as though we''re scoring 9/10 for keeping possession but only 2/10 for creating chances.Today, for instance, although we did create a couple of good chances they arrived quite by surprise because I don''t think at any stage of game we actually looked dangerous when we were attacking, nor did Bolton, even as a bottom of the table side seem to think they had to concern themselves with holding the lead, they looked as though they thought they could increase it in the second half. JF 694 Posted November 4, 2017 To a degree but I think it’s more circumstances that it isn’t working rather than a lack of Farkes ability. It’s fine lines but had Jerome taken that chance as I would have expected certainly Oliviera to, then I think we go on to record 5 away wins on the bounce. I think it’s worth sticking with because we have already seen that when it clicks we look very good. For me there is plenty of reasons to feel optimistic going into the second half of the season
FCC 76 Posted November 4, 2017 At the game today. We are crap and boring. We seem to have developed a unique pass or move system with players incapable of doing both.Bolton scored because they had players capable of running with the ball and beating a man. We tippy tapped around aimlessly - with the exception of Wildschutt who looked dangerous and left the rest of the team 20 yards behind.Could see absolutely nothing to applaud at the end. Farke and Webber are trying to impose a style of play that we haven’t got players capable of playing, and is to slow for the Championship. We are sadly committed to this experiment given our finances, but this is the worst, and least entertaining team we have had in a while. Syteanric 1 Posted November 4, 2017
Either he needs to wake his ideas up and change the way we play or he needs to go. Norwich supporters will not stand for the current way we play if it is not getting results. This is the English Championship, not some tippy tappy 3rd rate league in Germany. We have the players to play much better than we are but we are getting bogged down with this obsession to keep possession rather than actually playing to our strengths. Won''t be long before the crowd turns and the dressing room is lost.It needs sorting out one way or the other over the International break.Probably time for the Board to bite the bullet and admit that they''ve got it wrong yet again.
Webber picked the coach, Webber identified the players, Webber spouts the bullsh*t...All farke does is sort training and matches and speak to EDP... king canary 7,654 Posted November 4, 2017 And the board set the budget for Webber. Asking someone to overhaul the playing squad and style of play while also massively reducing the wage bill and selling some of the best players is a fairly big task... lincoln canary (& Golden Coppel) 0 Posted November 4, 2017 5th worst goal difference in the league. Potentially 5 points behind Ipswich. That one nil win over them seems an awful long time ago. It’s frutstrating how we can’t seem to stem the tide. Those three straight defeats have more or less wiped away the good work of recent weeks. If we could have got a point or two instead of straight defeats that would be so much better. But the second we face adversity, we seem to capitulate. Whether it be directly in a game or form. We’re so fragile and weak. If we concede first it’s curtains. The Hull game looked to have put this to bed, but that appears to be a one off. Baldyboy 0 Posted November 4, 2017 It’s amazing how people say so and so are to blame when in reality the only people to blame are the board! This week we were told they aren’t looking for investment when the truth is without any investment we are just sliding away into mediocrity.I know the board divide opinions but we are run as though it’s still the 90s, in the modern game you cannot progress without a decent backer, and as we constantly get told the current owners are potless so unless there is a massive change in thinking by the board things will not be getting better anytime soon, meaning the better players, of which there aren’t many will be sold in the near future, so enjoy Maddison, Pritchard and Oliveira while we can because once they’ve gone it’s down to our academy to produce! In the 90s were we not a top flight team? Are we 2nd tier now, I think so, so how have we progressed in that respect?I’m not going to get into a slagging match because I’ve got better things to do but in the modern game we are not progressing at all, although I’m sure you will tell me I’m wrong as you don’t really like anybody saying anything against the board do you? Iwans Big Toe 312 Posted November 4, 2017
Surely we need to give it more than four months?
^^This^^It is going to take more than four months and one transfer window for Webber and Farke to shape the squad to their needs. Worthington took 4 years to get us promoted and he was part of the previous managers regime so knew the squad well when he took over. In the short time Farke has been head coach there has been some progression. Yes we are not steamrolling all and sundry as quite a few who post on here expect, but we have been told that it will take time.I have never been and never will be a supporter of the Suffolk Socialists, as I am of the opinion that they are just making it up as the go along, hoping for the best without being prepared to put their hands in their pockets or let anyone else play in their wendy house. I am, however, prepared to give the current management team a chance to see what they can do. If, after a couple of years, we have not progressed to the point where we are looking to be serious promotion candidates it will not only be time to look for a new head coach/manager, but it must surely be time for our left wing overseers to move aside and let someone else play with their train set. Rogue Baboon 0 Posted November 4, 2017 I am interested in where people expect us to be after 4 transfer windows - so that’s 2nd half of next season. It’s almost certain that Pritchard, Maddison, Oliveira and Klose would have left. Prices would also have continued to increase. You would probably be looking at close to 20million for a top Champs striker so it’s likely that we won’t be shopping in those markets. We may also be stuck with the older & higher earning squad members.I can’t see how we are going to be any better off? Yellowbeagle 0 Posted November 4, 2017 personally i think were really missing Tettey, he may not be as good as he was but even when he''s poor he still offers a physical presence to the team. He wont solve our scoring issues thats for sure, but even without him in the side we''ve hardly improved on that front.
