He''s a player I would love to see become permanent signing even if we go down.A must have with Jerome in the Championship

A bit soon to get carried away, but he''s a proven Championship goal scorer and could prove a good investment for the future. Let''s hope he can score some goals this season first though!

He''s quality. And if they can keep him here beyond this season they need to make it happen.

As TGoMT said - PatBam is a bit posh - not heard a player speak so eloquently in years!? Like The Night Manager - new to the game but adapting very well.

"If he scores the goals that keep us up in the prem league, he will be a legend and I''d break the bank to keep him."

Precisely, but we have to convince the player that he has a better future at NCFC than in the Chelsea squad and on top of that Chelsea might decide that he is worth persevering with and not be open to offers in the first place.

Tall order. I sense that we might not stand a chance in hell of retaining him should we go down though.

You never know. He is young.

We should be in with a shout of keeping him if we stay up, even if it''s only another loan next year. He''s obviously a good player but the way I see it is if Lukaku couldn''t break into the Chelsea team, Bamford has no chance.

They''ll spend big this summer in all areas pushing Bamford further down the pecking order. I suspect their club is more exited about Loftus-Cheek anyway, who probably has more potential than Bamford in the long run.

If we stay up we could offer him regular PL football and before any other signings are made his main competition would be Cameron Jerome, who he''s capable of keeping out of the side.

We''ve only seen a little of him so far, so we shouldn''t go overboard. Swansea fans are currently hailing Fer like we did for the first 10 games he played for us so it could easily go downhill. But so far he looks like the player RVW was supposed to be.

I''ve never understood Chelsea not keeping Lukaku

Bamford I can''t see getting close to their team, you''d have thought they''d have a major overhaul in the summer.  But he might want to stay on a contract there depending on what he''s being paid.  If we stay up and he''s performed between now and the end of the season, I''d hope we push the boat out to keep him.

Typical lack of ambition from little old Norwich fans, falling for a striker that hasn''t even put the ball in the net yet.[;)]

I get the feeling Bamford is here on a try before you decide deal and that all three parties involved are looking to make this permanent if it works out.Might be totally wrong but that`s what it looks like to me and is very similar to the Lukaku move to Everton.

Not the case, judging by the little Q&A he done with us before the Chelsea game (corporate)

I was at that Q&A.  His voice alone - assured, confident, yet vulnerable - gave me a semi.  By the time he''d answered his third question I was wondering how much alcohol and vaseline it would take, and whether I could live with myself in the morning.

To be fair Morty, we just want something new, as none of our other strikers have put the ball in the net either http://services.pinkun.com/forums/pinkun-forums/cs/emoticons/emotion-2.gif

Yeah, I think it''s the "I graduated from Oxford and have the voice to go with it, but I still feel a little uncomfortable in front of football fans" that does it for most people.
