  1. Can't stand Simon Jordan either, but I think he has a point! I'm sure the binners will all be calling him out as a 'has been' or whatever but he knows football. Marcus Evans clearly doesn't!
  2. I just looked at the title of this topic and immediately thought "Dear God, no! Don't even mention his name as a potential signing for us!" He didn't have a bad season tbf. I saw him make one particularly amazing save earlier on in the season. But I don't think there's any chance we'll be looking at bringing him in.
  3. Nope... Not the one I'm on about! https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/adam-drury-testimonial-norwich-2-857707
  4. Remember when Celtic fans travelled en mass to come to the Drury testimonial? Most of them weren't actually at the game, they just showed up to run riot around the city. Pretty sure they covered most of POW Road in a huge Celtic flag. It's a shocking sight, in all honesty, and I agree with FTW... I wouldn't want to see the moronic Leeds fans (for the most part they are idiotic, although I do know some nice Leeds fans) causing ridiculous amounts of trouble... even in Ipswich. The Leeds fans are some of the worst I've experienced coming to Carrow Road. Smashing things up and leaving a right old mess in their wake. I don't get why they feel the need to do this. I sincerely hope they drop out of the running altogether. It would make me chuckle quite heartily.
  5. I don't think we have anyone in the side with the same levels of creativity and energy of Emi. He does it all, doesn't he? However, I still firmly believe we'll have enough to put in good performances in the next three games and perhaps win all of them. Who can stop us at the moment? Certainly not Reading and Wigan, in my mind! Sheff Weds may be more tricky.
  6. Yeah can't see why we wouldn't still try and bring in another 'keeper. Henderson was mentioned. I'd be happy with that. Likely to be a loan too, so the financial side shouldn't be a problem. All depends on Sheff Utd, I'd guess! But, if he did come in, Man Utd would want him to play pretty much every game, I'd imagine.
  7. I imagine it might be because we see him as one of the next to come through. Currently on loan at Dordrecht isn't he? Fits with the profile of sending those on the fringes of the first team out to get vital experience in other leagues (as we did with Todd)
  8. Sky Sports site seems to be down... Can't get a connection but working elsewhere. That's a pain! Wanted to have a read.
  9. Didn't Webber leave before they got promoted? I'm not saying that the recruitment wasn't implemented by him, we know these things rumble on for some time. It's been discussed, but perhaps the Huddersfield comparison is a bit of a lazy one now, in light of what we've seen from us?
  10. I think they're lapping it up because they think us, as Norwich fans, are proper hurt that they have our former 'messiah' in charge. Think again, bin boys.
  11. Zimbo will be starting most games imo. Farke has always stuck with him. It's all been links to attacking players so far. Yusuf Yazici, an attacking midfielder/number 10 type who I like the look of and the lad from Greece (Giorgos Masouras) who is a winger.
  12. Not sure that we'll get another CB, but I reckon they'll look at another 'keeper as McGovern likely off... not because of Krul! But if the Henderson link is to be believed, I'd be happy with him betwixt the sticks. I also feel as though if we do get a striker it would perhaps be unfair on Pukki. However, with the assumption that we won't keep Rhodes, we'd need someone else in.
  13. One of Huddersfield's main issues, I would imagine, is that Webber had left before they got to the Prem. I believe they were quite close to it at the time but his recruitment skills would have been missed and perhaps we picked up some gems they were looking at, even. Although many of us (myself included) have likened our potential in the Prem to that of Huddersfield's, we've seen a sharp decline in their fortunes and they haven't been able to keep up the excellent work from their first season in the big league. I am thinking our smart recruitment, coupled with the passion of our academy players and current crop will be a big bonus for us when (if) we go up. Farke plays a different style of football to Wagner (we've seen more of that now compared to last season) and I am quite certain, if we try and stick to our attacking principles and possesion game, we could be a surprise package.
  14. Do you also follow Watford, Fortuna Sittard and WBA (away)? 😉
  15. Probably because people (publishers) like to get a more accurate idea of how many might be needed to fulfil pre-orders. Thus saving money, thus making more and ensuring that Holty doesn't have to go on an Alan Partridge level pulping session.
  16. I think the Fuzzar comment was said with tongue firmly wedged in cheek. Might be wrong though
  17. The majority of whom were likely from Yarmouth... 😉
  18. Funny you should think that as I've always thought Pukki does look quick. He's one of those with 'deceptive' pace. Takes him a while to get there but once he does... Zoom!
  19. I guess this sprung up because of the new Netflix series on it? I watched three episodes and turned it off. Just going over old ground that many have read about, heard about or discussed before. I thought it was pointless even bringing the documentary out, in all honesty. A terrible incident, granted. But not really the place to discuss it here.
  20. Exactly this. Also big compliments to Farke (yes, I'm using HIS terminology) for spotting Ben's potential as a CB. He may well be, one day, "world class" as Farke predicted.
  21. The chanting was actually 'give it to Delia' which made me feel a bit weird... I agree with the fact we shouldn't have been concentrating on where a hat was going, instead continued to cheer on the team and actually watch the game. When that hat thing happened, the entire Barclay was pretty much looking over to the City stand and not watching the game. It was pretty dumb. But funny. I think...
