1. He didn''t sign a new contract as he wanted the option to leave for free to get a big signing on cheque and big wages in lieu of the fact the club he joins pays no transfer fee. Typical example of a greedy player out for all he can get and no loyalty to NCFC, we don''t want or need this breed as this type of attitude is the reason for our demise. We want players who want to play for us not want to get paid by us!!   This type of mentality was last witnessed in the 1950s. Footballers, who bleed green and yellow are typically the ones whose only option is Norwich. But that''s football. Norwich should be a club that''s going somewhere, and where footballers feel is best for their careers, and like wasting their time.
2.
We''re 7/1 to win the League already with SkyBet
We were 5/2 to bounce back after we dropped from the Prem....
3. Since our promotion season the only short term target we managed to meet was avoiding releagtion in 2007/8.  We ought to aim for promotion, but  bearing in mind that we''ll probably lose more players than we did after 2004/05, plus the board''s general incompetence... safety 4-5 weeks before the final day.
4. No. Had we avoided the drop, we would have had a better chance of climbing back to Championship mid-table (after consolidating our team) than bouncing back from League 1.  And if, as Hucks suggests, it is going to be worse before it gets better, I see us flirting with L2 any time soon.
5. When he took over from Grant, Roeder brought in about as many loanees as Gunn did, and at that time that was enought for him to shake things up well before the window. Gunn made quite substantial changes, but they didn''t work.
6. Marshall. Rudd might be a great talent, but he''s only 18. We''ll need more experience than that. I''d rather have him as no. 2 -but I''d give him games though...
7. Football can go in cycles -- but that fact alone will not keep us safe even in League One. The teams that have reversed their fortunes have done something about it. As things stand, the only cycle I expect is the repetition of what we''ve done since our relegation from the Prem. Maybe finising mid-table in our first L1 season if we can keep some of our better players, then gradualy losing anyone with Championship ambition after they find out that this club is going nowhere, and gravitating towards League Two.
8.
agreed Bury Green. I copied and pasted the original post into an email to Mr Doncaster, I know a few others have done it as well (I would suggest everybody does it) and added a few choice comments of my own, and have received a couple of replies with the usual spin and "phone me would love to have a chat about your views" am expecting the next one to conain an invite to "do lunch". This is the time to make our CEO and owners know that we would like them to pass control to people who know what they''re doing.
I wonder whether Delia would allow any of his restaurants be managed in the same manner she does NCFC. Would she appoint a loyal waiter as head chef? Probably no.
9. For that sort of money, I''d give it a go. I''m actually quite expeienced in shouting in instructions at U8 level.
10. We must not forget about alienated players: we had Lappin and Lupoli, who wanted to play but hardly had a chance under Roeder, Gunn fell out with Pattison and Fotheringam in the same fashion. It''s not exactly a good practice, is it?
11. Talking about Joe Lewis, I would not be surprised if we would loan him back sometime during the next season.... In the first half, Marshall made one of his trademark errors when a ball has been played back to him. All he was supposed to do was to hoof it up, and he had plenty of time for that. He stopped the ball instead, stepped back, as if it was a goal-kick, and waited awfully long, until a Reading forward came to attack him, alsmost taking the ball.... I wondered whether he realised that he was  not actually taking a goal-kick.  Having said that, and judging by the lack of ideas, the whole team seem to have been confused. I see more chaos coming...
12.
Ashton- Earnshaw- Cureton- McDonald tells its own story.
He may have had a lower price tag, but I see McDonald as a step up...
13. I''d definitely keep McDonald.... The main problem with this list is that these players will be the most difficult to keep. (Well, Shakell is not ours in the first place...) Further problem seems to be that we ought to offer them at least their current wages. Now that would involve ambition... As for manager - I''d go for Hareide -- in the hope of some good, physically strong Scandinavian players.
14. We must find one -- and fast, since in a prolonged managerial crisis we may lose even those players, who otherwise could be convinced to stay. I''d go for Hareide, if he still wants the job.
15. I''m not very good with slogans, but "humble pie" should be in it...
16. Does this mean that we might get Magilton on the cheap for next season?
17. I"d definitely play Curo against Reading -- in goal. That masterstroke would conpletely confuse Reading''s XI, and while they are confused we could win the game!
18. Not-too-surprisingly, in Budapest, Hungary. Studied at the UEA, where I met my wife, whose family lives in Thetford.
19. I support 3: NCFC, Hungary, but, above all, my son''s U8 team, Tabani Spartacus! Actually, in terms of passion and commotment, nothing compares to kiddie league football.[:)]
20.
Ive got a few Hungarians following NCFC now due to my business dealings over there. I send and take scarfs and stuff over there, I think a few look at this site aswell.
LOL! I thought I was the only Hungarian mad enough to support NCFC. (I have a good excuse though: I met my wife, a Norfolk gal, while studying at the UEA). Actually, one of our sports channels shows live Championship games as well as weekly highlights. Signing somebody Hungarian (Tisza? Köteles?) would probably increase coverage and would earn a few more fans over here...
21. While I understand those, whose schedule has been upset, I welcome the fact that I''ll be able to watch this crucial game live in one of the local bars.
22. Imho, letting Shax go was Roeder''s worst move. He should have kept him AND Stefanovich, who, at 34, will always be injury-prone. I would keep both.
23. We (I''m Hungarian) have a writer called Péter Esterházy, who wrote a whole novel that consists of one single sentence. Nice effort, LQ, but still a long way to go...
24.

we8 as well as having multiple identities here also on one occasion tried to cheat on the free bet thread but the final nail came on the day he decided to rename himself as one of the web team.[:(]
Ha! Did he call himself Web Team -- w8wba? Tbh, I miss him. He was quite knowledgable and had interesting views.
I called myself webteam ........ to fool all the regulars on the "Last one to reply wins" thread, which seemed to work as they believed my post saying the thread had reached maxium amount of posts and all replies would start a new thread  (hence i would have won as no one replied after that for a while ;-p ) anyways i didn''t know it was a rule break, it was, i got what i deserved and will stick to it. so now i''m off again after summing that up good luck with the rest of the season, please at least pinch a draw at the weekend, and we''ll try do you guys a favour (although think forest will get least 1pt vs us )
LOL! You naughty, naughty boy.  What happened to your post count?
